A Spot of Luck

The players had finished their final lap of honour now and were leaving the ice. Row upon row of screaming girls greeting them by the entrance to the changing rooms, barely held back by the security ropes. Storm stood a little back from them; far enough away not to be classed with \'their sort,\' but close enough to get a good look at each player. She had seen them so many times before, but they still caused her heart to jump and a damp patch to spread across the seat of her jeans... That was embarrassing, but she couldn\'t help it!

She watched, awe-struck, as Michael strode towards the changing rooms, followed by Ron and Mark. Michael was the youngest player on the team, except for the reserve goalie, Jack. Michael was only a year older than Storm, and there was something about him that captivated her. He was only 5\'8 tall and looked tiny compared to the other players, most of whom were 6\' or more. In addition, Michael had the most beautiful long brown eyelashes! Ron was taller and older, with bleached blond hair and electric blue eyes. Storm knew that he spoke with a cute American accent, and he had always been polite to her when she met him at the autograph table. Mark was tall, dark and handsome, and he, too, made an effort with the fans. He had one canine tooth missing on the right-hand side of his mouth. Although most people found this unattractive, Storm loved it!

Behind Mark walked Stephan, who was the team\'s goalie. He had an attractive dark look to him and was rather shorter than the forwards. As well as this, he was a superb goalie and quite possibly the best in the league. He walked slower than the others on account of his cumbersome knee pads, but Storm knew that the perfect figure was hidden underneath. God, how she loved them all! She gazed on as the last players left the rink and entered the changing rooms.

Now it was just a matter of time before some of them came out to sign autographs. The players were always a long time in the changing rooms, and Storm wondered what they did in there. She imagined that today, they would take longer than average, as they congratulated each other on their emphatic win. Storm looked up and saw the team boss, Ricky Smith, wander across the balcony. She knew that many people thought he was very attractive, but she could not see this at all. In her eyes he was almost bald and rather plump, and about as ugly as a man could get. The screaming girls all around her thought differently, however. At once one of them saw him and starting screaming, \"Ricky! Ricky!\" The other girls looked up, and soon they were all pushing past Storm and hurrying up the steps to greet him. A minute or so later she could see them all, hovering around him in a sticky cloud, pestering him with questions and autographs.

Storm was left there, alone by the changing rooms. This area was set back from the rest of the rink, and there was nobody else around. Storm saw her chance: it was now, or never! She quy duy ducked under the security ropes and crept across to the door of the changing rooms. She hoped that nobody would see her, but she didn\'t think it likely. Now the other girls were gone, she didn\'t think anyone would bother her. She took a deep breath and pushed open the door to the changing rooms. She didn\'t know exactly what she was going to do, but she did it anyway. The changing rooms were not immediately inside the door, and she was somewhat relieved. A small corridor led off into the gloom, and Storm crept down it. She could hear the players and the whirr of the showers. The changing room itself was behind one final door, but Storm didn\'t feel brave enough to walk right in. Instead she noticed a small hole just along from where she was standing. She knelt down and put her eye to it. She could see the changing rooms!
