Disenchanted

I didn\'t know what to say to either of them. My heart was beating so hard I could feel the steady thump of it against my chest.



"It\'s what?" I sucked in a sharp breath as Aiden refused to meet my gaze his eyes focused down on Faith\'s stomach, her hand resting on the faint bump there. The first time I saw it I had just assumed that she was gaining weight and I wasn\'t gonna say anything to her about it. You don\'t mention gaining weight and women in the same sentence, sure I was with a man but I wasnt a complete idiot.



"It\'s mine." Aiden shook his head and turned to look over me, his hands pushing back through his hair as he let out a rough breath. "It\'s not what you think Demetri, it just happened one night." I growled my arms folding across my chest as I glared at him.



"What she just fell on your dick?" I demanded turning cold eyes on Faith as she squeezed her own shut.



"Being a smart ass isn\'t going to help the situation any." Aiden snapped just about as frustrated as I was when honestly I didn\'t think he had much right to be after all the shit that he had pulled on me. Faith was still silent her head turned down tears falling steadily down her cheeks as she still refused to look at me. She took in a deep breath before she shook her head and stood up.



"He\'s being honest Metri it really did just happen. You know better then anyone that we wouldn\'t just do something like this to hurt you. Aiden was grieving over you, I was hurt and alone cause Jesse had taken off and nobody had heard from him for weeks... We didn\'t mean for this to happen. One moment we were fighting and then the next we were looking at each other like oh god did we really do that?" She sighed and raked her fingers back through her hair as she tilted her head to the side to look up at me. "It was a mistake. I\'m not going to say I regret it cause I can\'t regret a child that didn\'t do anything but it was a mistake. Don\'t take it out on Aiden it really meant nothing to either of us." She paused a moment reaching for the cup and setting it down in the sink making her way out of the kitchen.



"Thats not all is it." I asked turning on Aiden to look over him, I had seen the way he had flinched when Faith said it meant nothing, it obviously wasn\'t that way for him.



"I\'ve always wanted what I couldn\'t have and then somewhere down the line I found myself looking at Faith. I wanted what my cousin had was jealous that he had someone so dedicated to him when I was so damn alone. So I took what i can and fought with her, wanted her to suffer in someway cause it wasn\'t fair that she had this perfect life when mine was complete and utter hell."



"You love her don\'t you." The words hurt even as I was saying them my heart thudding in my chest so hard I thought that it would break through the skin. Aiden swallowed before turning wet eyes to me and nodding his head.



"I would be lying if I said I didn\'t." 



We sat in the kitchen for a while in silence, both lost in our own thoughts until a loud thudding on the stairs drew out attention to the front of the house.



"You fucking bastard!" Jesse all but roared as he flew into the kitchen knocking Aiden to the floor, his hands digging roughly into his shoulders. "She\'s my girlfriend, the one thing that is mine and mine alone and you just couldn\'t keep your fucking hands off of her!"  Aiden remained silent, his head turning to the side like he couldn\'t stand to look at his cousin. "Did she move for you the way she does for me? Did she beg you or plead you?" Jesse was damn near hysterical as he lifted Aiden up a little and slammed him back down against the tile floors. "Tell me!" Aiden\'s eyes met mine as I stood but I didn\'t say a word, instead I turned and made my way from the kitchen. I didt k ow how I was going to be able to forgive them for this.

A/n- so yeah I have no comment about this chapter except to say it\'s going to be a rocky road for our boys before they get their happy ending. The next chapter should be up soon.
