Chapter Eighteen:


Theron and the king of Siren wedding was beautiful, too bad for Jamie, he felt too sick to really enjoy the reception. After greeting so many kings and prince from so many country that came to Theron wedding he was relief to get the chance to escaped outside for some fresh air.

“Jamie”

“Eli, I'm fine just give me a few minutes,” said Jamie.

“Feeling sick again, you scared us good yesterday when you fainted, I still remember the looked on the king face.”

Jamie chuckled, “sorry about that, my stomach just act up all of a sudden, the pain is so strong yesterday that I couldn't help it, sorry.”

“Well hang in there, once we returned to Zhanthia the king well have the royal doctor check up on you and I doubt that you would be allow to do anything once you get back. The king got the idea that you are ill because you overwork your self too much at the cottage. Although I think that you might be ill for a different reason.” comment Eli.

“When are we leaving?" Jamie asked.

“The king wants to leave tomorrow he wants to get back as soon as possible and have the royal doctor take a look at you.” answer Eli.

Jamie sighed, “I wish that we didn't have to leave so soon.”

“I know how you feel,Jamie, but after last night I doubt that you could convince the king to stay.”

Jamie nodded his head just as his two stepsons came running up to him, “daddy, daddy, can we dance?”“The two boys asked. Reminding Jamie that he is at, Theron, and the king of Siren wedding. He smiled warmly at his two boys “alright,” Jamie said. He walked out to the dance floor.

Sebastian watched, Jamie, dance with his two sons, he really need to talked with his boys, they shouldn't be spinning Jamie around like that. Thaddeus sipped his wine and followed, Sebastian, gazes. He smirked, “you really can't keep your eyes of off him can't you, Sebastian?” he remarked.

“Its normally don't you think, Thaddeus, after all I do loved the boy. Unlike you Thaddeus you don't love anybody but your self, I'm I right?” he asked his friend.

Thaddeus eyes shifted from Jamie to his pet, Kade. “You are right about that Sebastian I don't gave a damn about anyone but myself and my country. If you and I weren't friend I would have snatched your sweet Jamie and turned him into an obedient pet for myself now that I had seen with my own eyes how attractive he is. Its such a waste that he is with you when he could be my pet.”

Sebastian grabbed Thaddeus by the collar of his shirt and glared down at him, “Thaddeus just because we are friend it does not mean that I won't hesitate to kill you, don't under estimate my love for Jamie, I would gladly break our ancestor promise for him.”

Thaddeus pulled away from Sebastian, “I was just joking with you?” He lie. He knew very well what Sebastian is capable of when provoke. Sebastian could be a cruel son of bitch when it comes to some one he hold dears. Way crueler then him. No matter how much he wanted to get his hand on Jamie Sebastian wrath is one he fear. He wouldn't dare put his hand on Jamie even if his life depend on it.

Sebastian relaxed his composer and turned his eyes back to his consort, he finished the wine in his hand and excused himself, he made his way to,Jamie, and his son. Jamie smiled warmly at the king. “Can your father have this dance with your dad?” Sebastian asked his two boys. They nodded their head and giggles.

Jamie shyly looked down as the king takes his hand, they dance. “How are you feeling, Jamie?” he asked as they dance.

"Fine your highness, just a bit dizzy from all the dancing," he commented.

"Then we shall retired early to our bed," Jamie lowered his eyes and truth to his words Sebastian scoop jamie up and carry him out of the hall.

Eli shook his head at the scene he just witness, his damn king can't keep his hand to himself. As he turned to go the other way he saw Kade standing in the corner watching the stars with a forlorn looked in his eyes.

“Kade,” Eli called to the boy.

Kade turned around and offered the man a weak smile. He wondered what the man is doing out here? Eli went over to the boy and stood next to him he gazes up at the moon, “they are beautiful aren't they?” he asked.

Kade nodded his head, they are beautiful and free. He wished that he was as free as the stars and is able to shine brightly once more like them. Eli took the boy hand in his, “one day Kade your prince charming will come and save you. He will take you to a far away place, far enough that you don't have to worry about the Nary king coming after you. And you two will live happily ever after.” Eli said with a secretive smile. Kade knew that the man was trying to cheer him up, but deep inside he really do wished for his prince charming to come and save him.

The wedding was over at midnight, a drunken Nary king fell asleep in his bed right of the bat. Kade was lying on the floor dress in a thin night shirt. The window was open letting the cold air in side, Kade shivered and tried as hard as he can to sleep. Just as he was about to fall asleep. Two men came into the room, he sat up and stared at them. The men stared back at him, one of them leaned out the window and called out to another man.

The man climbed in through the window and walked toward him, he tremble in fear when the man lifted his face up and gazes into his eyes. The man has green enchanting eyes they were gently not cruel like the Nary king. “I am the king of Sythia and you boy are coming with me.”

Thaddeus was mad with rage, he crumpled up the little note left by the man that stole his pet and threw it into the fire. Sebastian leaned back on his chair and drink the tea before him. he peer over his tea cup to see the rage in his friend eyes, he smirked secretly and drink his tea. Thaddeus storm back to his seat and stared up at his friend.

Sebastian put his tea down on the tables and leaned back against his seat, “don't give me that looked Thaddeus I wasn't the one who takes him away, and I also doubt that the king of Siren is brave enough to takes his son back from you like this, you must have others enemies out there that wanted to give you a little taste of your own medicine,” he remarked.

“You just wait and see, Sebastian, as soon as I find out who it is I will killed him, no one takes whats belong to me,” with that said The king of Nary stormed out of the room.

Eli came into the room two minutes later and gave his king the letter he received from the king of Sythia. Sebastian read it with a smiled on his face. He looked up at Eli. “Thank you, Eli, with out you this can never be accomplished.”

Eli nodded his head, “your highness still you shouldn't have lie to your brother, Theron, about the king of Nary agreeing to let the boy go if the king of Siren met the condition he sets. You should just told him your plan instead.”

Sebastian shook his head, “no, Theron, is too soft, because of him I had no other choice then to save that boy. You could say it is my little punishment to my brother for going behind my back and talked to, Jamie, about Kade. And, Eli, your brother the king of Sythia asked you to come visit him soon.”

Eli sighed and sat down on the chair. “I do not wish to returned to Sythia, too many memories of, Conor, there.”

“Come to think of it Eli, why didn't you tell Conor the truth about who you really were when you two were together back then?” He asked.

Eli gave his king a small smile, “I thought that it was better for the two of us if I didn't reveal to him that I was the first prince of Sythia. I wanted him to love me for me.” With that said he stood up and left.

Sebastian picked up his tea cup once more, “Conor did loved you for you Eli, that part is his only redeeming quality. For a trader of Zhanthia that is.” He whispered softly to himself, then he drink his tea.

“Theron what are you doing out here?” Jamie asked when he saw the man.

Theron wiped his tears away and gave, Jamie, a small smile, “how are you this morning Jamie? Feeling a little nausea or anything?” he asked the boy while ignoring the boy question.

“Nothing like that, I am as fit as ever, which is strange,” he laughed.

“That's good for you Jamie.”

“Theron whats wrong? You seem sad some how, didn't you have a great night?” Jamie asked his voice full of concern for the man.

“Yes, the wedding was wonderful I did have a blast, now why don't you go find Sebastian and spent some more time alone together, when you returned you won't get that much time to be together.”

Jamie know when he isn't wanted, and so he reluctantly agree to leave the man alone. He went to find the king of Zhanthia and met, Eli, on the way.

“Eli have you seen the king?” Jamie asked.

“I believed that he went back to your bedchamber, Jamie,” answer Eli. Then he continue on to find Theron.

Theron was just on his way back when, Eli, found him, “Theron there is something we need to talk about its about Kade,” said Eli.

“Don't be afraid boy, I am not going to hurt you,” Kade heard the man whispered from behind him. He was sitting on top of a horse with his back to the man. Why? He asked himself silently, why did these things always happen to him? He didn't asked to be kidnapped twice and taken to somewhere he didn't know and become some god damn king pet. Kade contemplated hard on his situation as the horse flew over the country of Sythia.

“You know, when my brother described you to me in his letter, I picture you to be a snobby prince, but once again I am proven wrong, you are not snobby at all aren't you, I saw you talking to my older brother. I was so captivated by your sad eyes that I knew right then and there that I would take you as my bride even if it means that I have to war with the country of Nary.”

Kade couldn't believed his ears, did the man just said the word bride. He looked up and gave the man a bewilder looked. The man gave him a big warm smile which show off his dimple. Kade couldn't take his eyes off of them.

“My names Alexander, by the way. I hope you would called me that when you are able to talked again boy.”

Kade lowered his eyes and turned away, “Alexander,” he said silently inside his head. Is this man his prince charming?

Alexander watched the changes in the boy eyes, the boy don't know it but his eyes was telling him many things, his thought his feeling, even if he can't convey them in words the boy eyes convey them for him. He leaned down and kissed the boy brow startling the boy with his action. The boy face was as red as the red rose he plant in his royal garden such innocent reaction to a kissed on the brow. He tighten his hold on the boy and turned to his two second in command. “We are near my adviser castle, we shall stay there tonight and continue on to the castle tomorrow,” he called out to them. The two men nodded their head.

Devin stared into the water fountain he was deep in thought, thinking of Caelane safety, when Jay came up and place a hand on his shoulder startling him, he jumped. His hand went to his heart. “Jay don't startle me like that, he said. Mad at the man for scaring him.

Jay laughed, “you scared to easily boy, anyway I wanted to see how you are doing?”

“I'm fine thank you,” Devin replied. His eyes flew open wide when he saw Caelane brother on the other side of the fountain, he didn't see Caelane brother there before because he was too deep in his thought. He went over to the other side of the fountain and gave the man a big hugged.

Kade was a bit surprised at the young man, he pulled away and looked him up and down with a puzzled looked. Devin could see the confused look in Caelane brother eyes, he quickly explained who he is and that Caelane is here also.

“Caelane will be so happy to see you here when he returned safe and sound.” Devin said with a smiled.

Kade couldn't believed what he is hearing, this young man here who looks to be the same age us him is ,Devin, Caelane, friend and not only that his brother, Caelane, is here as well. Kade wanted to meet his brother now that he know that his brother is here in Sythia.

“What are you doing here?” Devin asked. Totally unaware of what happened to Kade.

Jay answer for him, “Devin, he is going to be the king bride.”

Devin jumped up with joy for Kade, he knew that if Caelane was here he would had done the same thing. “Caelane will be happy to hear this.” He whispered just as the king of Sythia head toward them.

“Who is this?” Alexander asked his adviser.

His adviser smiled and whispered into his ears, "the boy is Jay future bride, ten years from now he is going to marry him that's whats Jay claim to me last night.”

Alexander gave his adviser a confused look, he turned to Jay, “why do you have to wait ten years to make him your bride?” he asked aloud.

Jay sighed, why did his lord have to do this to him? Devin came up to Jay wearing a puzzled looked “what does he mean by that Jay? I don't recalled agreeing to be your bride ten years from now.”

Jay flashed his lord a I will get you for this later, he grabbed Devin hands and dragged him away to where they could have some privacy.

Alexander turned his attention back to his adviser, “so why did he have to wait ten years?” he repeated his question.

“He have to wait ten years because the boy is only ten years old.” His adviser explained.

“Ten years old he look nothing like a ten years old to me,” Alexander commented still a bit confused.

“Let me explain farther your highness, the boy is cursed, once he is cured he will returned to being a ten year old kid. What you see now is what he looks like ten years from now. Jay is claiming the boy now as his so he won't have to fight a long list of suitor when the time come.”

Alexander laughed then and so did Kade who heard the whole things, this Jay is really something, he thought. Alexander turned to his bride to be when he heard his laughter. Kade noticed that Alexander was staring at him, he lowered his eyes and turned his head away. His face was growing red by the minutes.

“When Ray returned I will asked him to take a look at Kade for you, there is no poison out there that he can't cured, after all he is a master of poison. ”

Alexander simply nodded his head his eyes on the beautiful boy before him. "where is Ray by the way I haven't seen him around since I got here?” he asked.

“Ray is out in the woods protecting Caelane from his step-dad.”

Kade eyes flew open wide and Alexander notice the concern looked the boy have for Caelane. “Is this Caelane related to you?” he asked. Kade nodded his head.

“How old is Caelane?” Alexander asked his adviser.

“Hes ten years old, hes the same as Devin, they both are cursed by the same cursed,” reply his adviser.

“Does Ray know about Caelane?” Alexander asked.

“No, the only person other then me that know what kind of cursed the boy carry is me and Jay and Jay haven't said a word of it to Ray.”

“Where are we going?” Caelane asked his eyes on the man sitting behind him, he had to tilt his head to the side to looked up at the man.

Ray full attention was on the boy lips. He had to remind himself that nothing goods come out of lusting after a timid young man with a personality of a ten year old. Although he have to admit that it is kind of refreshing, he never met anyone like the boy before. Not even his first love could make him feel this much lust the short time they were together. He pulled himself out of his thought and answer the boy question. “We are heading to a safe place that's all you need to know.”

They stopped an hour later near a river with crystal clear water. While Caelane bath in the river, Ray cook their dinner. Caelane got out of the water and dress. He then walked over to Ray and sit down across from him. “Ray why do you always looked so mean?” Ask Caelane.

“Its none of your business boy, keep your question to yourself.” Ray said coldly.

Caelane nodded his head and wrapped his arms around his knees, he rested his chin on them and stared into the fire. He was as quiet as a mouse.

“Here,” Ray said as he offered the boy half the fished he just cooked.

“Thank you!” Caelane said softly as he took the cooked fished from Ray. Slowly he begin to eat it. Ray couldn't eat a damn things, his eyes keep shifting to the boy mouth. There is really some thing wrong with him, there is definitely something wrong with him. Why the hell is he thinking about what it would be like to kiss those mouth? “shit ,” he muttered out. Then he stood up.

Caelane looked up at the man, “aren't you hungry?” he asked as he lick his lips not aware of what he is doing to the man standing before him.

“No, you could have the rest, when you're done go to bed,” Ray ordered, then he walked off to cool his head.
