Eyeliner and Lipstick
Anon thanks so much for your review. I am so glad that you are still interested in this story. Its become like a child to me. Anyway, I appreciate the comments you left, as far as Clarissa's speedy change, I was trying to kind-of show a role reversal between her and Melanie. I just think that chapter needed her to be alittle on the bitchy side, I am sure she will go back to being her normal self. Thanks again, and please continue to read and review.

I paid the man for the stack of 200 papers, and hurried my way out the door. I stopped on the sidewalk right outside the print shop to take a look at my purchase. I pulled the cover sheet off, and there starring up at me was the second cutest couple in the whole world, both decked out with eyeliner and lipstick.
"Lucas would make a pretty girl," I joked to myself as gazed down at the flyers in my hand. Clarissa was almost unrecognizable in the dark make-up and barely there brazier. She looked pretty damn hot standing behind that microphone though.
Grin's first show with Clarissa as the lead singer was in just two weeks. I think I was more excited than either of them, I couldn't wait to see my best friend shine in all her glory. Clarissa had made reference to her nerves just a handful of times over the last two months. I couldn't express to her how proud I was of her. Lucas, I think, does it enough for the both of us. He has turned out to be the best thing that has ever happen to Clarissa. I can tell by the way they look into each other, instead of just at each other. Since Clarissa joined the band, all practices had run smoothly. She wowed everyone with her voice, and the light that pours from her when she belts it out can not go unnoticed or unfelt.
I replaced to cover on the flyers and headed to my car, pressing the little unlock button on my key chain making the horn let out a little beep. I slid into the drives side, placing the flyers along with my jacket and purse in heap on the passenger side seat. I turned the radio loud, and the heat up and made my way to the ‘Pool Hall' to meet the band and show off the flyers.
I walked into the tuning of guitars, and the light steady beat of a bass drum. I could see in the back, Clarissa was on stage in front of the microphone. She was conversing with Lucas over her shoulder, and he was nodding his head and strumming his gutiar. I made my way through the maze of pool tables, and planted myself at the table nearest the stage. Clarissa gave me a smile of recognition before they started their first set.
"One.....one... one, two, three, four," Clarissa shouted into the mic, as shane started beating out a melody on the drums. The song started in full swing and I bobbed my head to the beat. I just stared in amazement at my friend doing what she does best. I sang along with the chorus, and gave my best applause and whistle when the song was over.
"Hellz Yeah!" I screamed when Clarissa gave a little bow before hopping off the makeshift stage and heading in my direction. When she got a little closer, I held up the flyers to let her know that I had picked them up after waiting an entire month for them to be done. She let out a squeal of excitement, and picked up her pace.
"Lucas, come here, the flyers," she beckoned him over her shoulder, "they're finally freaking done."
Lucas jogged over to us catching Rissa around the waist and planting a kiss on her neck. Clarissa held up the sheet so they could both see it. Lucas quickly jerked the paper free from her hands and let out a little wolf like whistle.
"Dayam...... that chick is fucking hot, I'd so do her."
Clarissa yanked to flyer back from him and gave him a playful shove before kissing his lips, "later," she teased. Lucas' eyebrows shot up and he pulled her a little closer to him. Giggling a little Clarissa looked back at me, "Well despite the disgustingly too long of a wait, these turned out pretty okay."
I laughed at her shyness, " They are great Rissa, you look hot as hell, like you were born with a mic in your hand."
Clarissa blushed, " Yeah, I do look kind-of hot, huh."
"Hey," we heard from a voice near the front of the building. The three of us turned your faces in that direction and my smiled broadened. Brice was heading toward us, he was still wearing his ‘Zack's Skate Board Palace' shirt and cap. I loved the way he looked in a cap. My eyes never left him as he made his way though the maze over to us. He shook hands with Lucas, the way males do, nodded a greeting to Clarissa before scooping me up and nuzzling my neck.
"Hey baby," he said, his hot breath against the most sensitive part of neck, sent shivers down my spine.
"Hey you," I said pulling away form him, and giving him a light kiss on the lips. "How was work?"
"Well, it was work," he joke before catching a glimpse of the flyers. "They're done," he said plucking on from the stack. "They look really good." Clarissa blushed again as Lucas rested his chin on her shoulder from behind. "So you guys ready to rock?" Brice asked turning his attention to the closest band members.
Clarissa sighed, "Well I sure hope so, I don't want to look like an idiot up there."
"You guys ready for the next set?" Mika asked from her spot on the makeshift stage. Lucas released Clarissa's hand leading her pack to the stage. She gave me a grin before following her boyfriend.
Brice took a seat at the table pulling me onto his lap. I wrapped my arm around his shoulder and slipped his cap off his head so that I could run my fingers through his hair. I know he loves that. The little moan of satisfaction that escaped from his lips brought me so much pleasure. I remember thinking to myself as the band started their next song that I was the luckiest girl in the world.
------------------------
The next day at school, I divided the flyers between the six of us. All of the band members, myself and Brice. We wanted to make sure that every single one was handed out before the end of the day. Because this is a suck ass town, and Grin was like the only band around, we knew there would be no problems getting a packed house.
I think people, especially the girls, were finally getting used to the fact that Lucas and Clarissa were a couple. I mean it only too two months. They had a rough go at the beginning, jealous teenage girls could be evil. Clarissa stood her ground, and that intimidated a lot of them. I couldn't be more happy for them.
Things between Brice and I were better than great. My parents love him, and his mother adores me. I know I'm young, and all these feelings I feel are new. But I know in my heart that I love him. I think I always have. From the moment he showed my his secret place and told me I was beautiful, my heart belonged to him. I just knew. I have heard people say that when you are in love, you just know......... well I just know. I didn't think it would be this easy. So perfect, so flawless, but it is, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
