Chapter 16- Idora's Story
Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, but things have been tough... My computer had to be reformated, and I couldn't save all the data from it, so all my works in progress were gone.
And, I'm heading to wedding this weekend, followed by a trip to Las Vegas, (For those not living in the United States, or don't know where I'm talking about, find a map) so I won't be able to update for awhile... Enjoy while it lasts!
Chapter 16
Ayisa moved away quickly while Evia raised her bow. Her target was directly at Idora's heart. Idora did not move toward Ayisa as she moved away, nor did he flinch when he saw the bow aiming to kill. He simply rested his hand on Antros' sword. This action caused Evia to tighten the string.
"I'd rather not have to waste my time fighting you. Princess, your coming with me."
Ayisa shook her head numbly, but Evia was the one who spoke first. "There is no way I will let you take her. I promised Antros that I would protect her."
"How noble of you. But you see, I need the Princess. Where she goes, Antros is sure to follow." Idora said, withdrawing his blade. Evia let loose her arrow, which Idora blocked with the sword. She quickly placed another arrow ready to strike.
"Why do you hate Antros so much anyway?" Ayisa asked. At this Idora looked down, making a fist in his hand. His whole body was shaking with fury and rage and when he gazed back to them, Ayisa got the feeling that if looks could kill, she would have died seven times.
"Because... because of him they are gone... He killed them, and he will pay for it," Idora said, his fist shaking more rapidly then before. "It never would have happened, it never should have happened! But he had to go... he had to go and ruin it..."
Ayisa and Evia looked to Idora in complete amazement. Beneath the rage and hatred, there was a sense of bitter loss and sadness. Had it not been for the fact he was trying to kill his own brother, Antros, and capture Ayisa, Evia would have felt sorry for him. She didn't lower her weapon, but neither did she take advantage of the situation and fire it. The three stood, all seemingly silent.
"Antros deserted our family. He deserted me, his own brother, and our parents. They couldn't take the stress of losing him. They died when I was only an infant. But I never knew the truth... I never knew my brother was the cause of thier demise. And I was haunted by the memory of thier death for years. But then... then it happened..."

/Flashback/
Idora sat in the tall grass, gazing up to the sky through green eyes. He gazed up high, wondering and watching the red sky as the sun set. From far off, a call was heard. "Idora! Supper!!!" Idora ignored the voice for now. It was his foster mother, who he had lived with most of his life. He hardly remembered his own parents, and he overheard that they had died soon after he was born. It didn't matter really. Soon enough she could come and get him.
Idora didn't love his foster parents. Not truely anyway. He knew that they cared for him as a son, but he felt nothing in return for them. No matter what happened, he would never accept them. They were not his parents. Not really.
It was a different voice, one much deeper that got his attention. "Awaken" Was all it said, but Idora shot up and looked around, trying to find the source of it. It was apparent soon enough, that the voice came from a man, wearing a strange robe and hood. He walked over to Idora, who seemed frozen in place by a mixture of fear and excitement.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Idora's voice was shaky, and for a moment, he pondered on finding his foster parents and warning them of this strange person.
"They are gone... because of him." Idora looked puzzled. "Your brother, he is the cause of your misfortune."
"My... brother? I don't have a brother!"
"Do you know, what kills a person completely? Any man can die physically. It is inevitable. But to destroy the heart, and will of one to live... that is true death. Your parents were ill, very ill. And instead of comforting them, your older brother abandoned them. He rathered to leave them alone to die then try to care for them."
"No..." Idora said shakily. "No, that... can't be..."
"He left to persue his own dreams. And the loss of him destroyed your parents inside. They lost the will to live, even after you were born. They no longer felt like life was worth living. All because of your brother."
"No... it can't be..." But even as he spoke this, his hands curled into fists. "He... he left them? To die? Just like that!?"
"I can help you take vengence. I can help you find your brother and strike justice into his body."
Idora had a wild look in his eyes. He gazed into the hood of the man. "Help me... please..."
"Raise your right hand." Idora did as he was told. The man grabbed his hand and pressed his own on top of it. Searing hot pain shot throughout his body, concentrated on his hand. Soon, an inky black substance began to take form on the back of his hand. Idora cried out in anguish and grabbed his hand away, holding his wrist. He gazed at his hand fearfully and he felt the pain clouding his eyes. "Never show what is on your hand to anyone. When you awaken, you will know what to do."
Idora continued to watch as the man left, as his eyes changed from a green color to a crimsion red one. He heard the rushing of footsteps to him, and barely saw the outline of a man before passing out.

Ayisa and Evia stood in stunned silence as Idora finished his story. Idora gazed at them. "And now you know why he must die. That is crime. He killed our parents, and I will avenge them with his death." Idora began to walk to them, and Evia found her strength again, preparing to fire. "Ever since that day, my life changed. I was able to leave our forgotten little village and travel to find him. I won't rest until he dies at my hands."
Ayisa shuddered a bit then yelled. "Your wrong! Antros is nothing like that! He would never do that to his own parents!"
Idora stopped and gave her another death glare, which caused her to flinch a little. "Ignorant brat. You know nothing. Antros is a cold hartless person, and your too blind to see it."
Evia shook her head. "That's not true. What you think of Antros is just your own sick twisted version of what happened. You'll find any excuse to kill him, if it meant that you could sleep at night."
Idora's eyes radiated a feeling of pain. "Hmph... believe his lies all you want. I know the truth. I know what really happened." Idora rushed in, his sword at the ready. "And if you insist on defying me, then I'll force you to draw him out!"
