Chapter 16
Penny woke with a massive headache the next morning as James walked into her chambers slamming the door. “Ah! Oooh... What do you want!” Penny snapped.
“Still here I see, thought ya be on yer way by now,” James said moving around the room intentionally making a lot of noise and picking things up and placing then down forcefully. “So when ya leaving Miss Chous,” he said slamming the opened closet door closed. “Oh would you stop it!” Penny snapped holding her pounding head and turning away. “Oh I'm sorry...have a few too many drinks last night,” James said making more noise. Penny cringed with each loud bang James tried to make. “Tell me the history,” Penny said. “What?”James responded. “Tell me the damn history you claim to have with my brother!” Penny ordered. “None of your concern!” James snapped. Penny got up from the bed to dress. “Fine! Don't tell me! Even if it is my concern, considering apparently its part of my family problem. And I ain't leaving yet, I made a deal. I don't break deals,” Penny responded accusingly. “Well what do you intend to do for the next two days then!” James asked. “None of your concern.” Penny replied. “Now get out!” James left the room slamming the door shut behind him. “Fucker!” Penny shouted through the door. James stopped on the opposite side of the door, wanting to reply but stopped himself and walked away.
The whole rest of the day they did not speak to each other. Alice gave Penny some herbs for her headache and Penny and the sisters went out for a stroll. “So ladies, is there a place we want to go on our stroll,” Alice asked cheerfully. The sisters couldn't decide. “Well I guess its the usual then, let us go to the pier and check out what the sea brings for us today,” Alice said as the girls chuckled as they strolled down the way in the pretty dresses. Penny wasn't much interested in checking out the sailors that came in, she went off on her own a little further down the pier still in sight on the sisters, while the sisters stayed flirting with every handsome male specimen they saw. Penny just watched them from a distance half watching them half gathering her thoughts.
After staying in one place for a period of time Penny walked on. A ship was just pulling into the harbor and Penny had no more interest seeing the pathetic girls make fools of themselves flirting. The ship brought in a tall man just over six feet. The man was slender and had thick dark brown hair, similar to Penny's. He wore handsome attire. The man was with several other tall slender men. Penny took no notice and continued to walk on.
“Alright men here we have arrived at last. Lets go,” the young man said in an ordering tone.
