Chapter 15
Chapter 15
I never actually did respond, but he wrapped an arm around my waist and we walked side by side through a few streets and ended up at a four story home. Logan walked up a few steps, opened the door, and invited me in. I followed him closely, feeling stupid for being scared earlier, but still grateful that I hadn't been alone.
"Do you want something to drink?" He asked.
I nodded and he poured me a glass of water. He walked me into the living room and I tentatively sat down next to him on the leather couch.
"You never did tell me why you moved here to Kingsdale? What's your story, Rave?" Logan asked, setting his glass down on the coffee table.
My tail had been securely wrapped around my leg, but I untangled it for a moment to hold onto it, a childish trait that I had never outgrown. I think Logan had noticed my nervousness of being in his home, but didn't comment on it.
"Well, it's a really long story..."
"I've got all night and so do you," He said with a brief smile.
I told Logan a short, but complete story of how I had gotten beat up and ended up in Kingsdale. He had stared at me the entire time in a very concerned way. Through the middle of me explaining my story, his hand settled behind me on the couch and I felt the tip of his fingers on my injured ear. It was almost healed and the fur on the tip was finally growing back. I had jumped slightly, but relaxed when his hand began...almost...petting me.
The action was calming and rather stimulating. When a strange, steady noise began deep in my chest, I knew I was in for hell.
"Raven! Oh my God! I got you to purr!" Logan said and started laughing hysterically.
I shook my head, pulling away from him," I was not!"
"Oh, yes you were. I know purring when I hear it and that was most definitely purring!" He said, slapping his hand on his knee and wrapping an arm around me again, "Oh geez, just stay here. It was cute."
I gaped at him for a moment and realized that he was hitting on me. It was own stupid fault for agreeing to go to his house. I had just been frightened, and now he was claiming that I had purred.
"It wasn't purring! I have never purred before in my life-"
"Well, then you wouldn't know what purring is then, would you? You are just like a regular cat getting pet-pets. The longer you do it, the louder it gets. You're especially prone to purring when you're being touched my someone else in one of your more feline areas, like your tail or ears...or when you're having sex. Don't tell me you're a virgin-"
"I'm not!" I argued, not believing I was even having this conversation.
"Well, then surely you've purred before. You may have not even known it," He said.
I frowned, but he only grinned and then his face brightened even more, "I just now realized why! You've never had sex with another cat before! That's why! Humans don't know the pressure places of a cat, like pressing the side of the ears and the slight pulling on the tail. That's why! You've never known pleasure until you have sex with another cat!"
"You're disguising," I remarked, throwing him a pukey look.
"Don't believe me?"
"I think you're full of shit," I said, leaning back against the couch.
"That and other things," He smarted back with a chuckle," Come on...I'll prove it to you."
"I'll pass," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Seriously. You don't know pleasure until you've been pleasured. You can't compare it to a simple release. Sure, that feels great momentarily, but haven't you ever felt like something was missing? The tingling in certain places that you would never have expected."
"Oh yeah, all the time," I said sarcastically, "While I was inside her, I once said 'scratch my ears'."
Logan laughed again, even slapping me lightly for support, “Oh, you're funny. Come on. Let me prove it to you."
"You? I don't think so. Get me a girl and we'll discuss it," I retorted.
He leaned over to all too sensually take a sip of his water, "Aw, am I that horrible?"
Logan's hand moved to my back and slowly made its way up to my ears. He leaned close to me and whispered, "Move away and you are a coward."
I scoffed, but felt the tingling sensation he had explained come to my ears.
"How about a deal? Let's see how long you can go without purring. If you cannot go for more than five minutes without purring, then...hmmm....I get a kiss!"
"No! Logan!"
I couldn’t believe this was the same guy I had met just a week earlier.
"Come on...and if you can go for more than five minutes, then I'll do your science homework for a week. How's that sound? Good bargain?"
Science was one of my harder subjects...oh my God. Am I agreeing to this? Apparently I had never disagreed, because he began rubbing both his fingers, one inside and one outside of my left ear. It did feel good, but I wasn't going to tell him that. He just grinned while he stroked me. His fingers got a little rougher when I didn't immediately respond. It became more like a massage than pet-pets. Suddenly his right hand left my head and slowly went down my back. I jumped up.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"You'll see," Was his response.
His hand tickled its way down my spine and ended just where my tail began. He grabbed the part of my tail that was attached to my back and just pulled gently on it and slowly made his way down my long appendage. He trailed the dark orange tabby patterns on my tail and wound it around his finger. I could still feel his other hand on my ears, rubbing them evenly. It was taking a lot of willpower not to purr, but I couldn't help it anymore. It just felt so good.
It started out slow and eventually ended up sounding like a full fledged motor. He leaned closer to me and pressed one of his thumbs against my cheek, where my whiskers were. He smiled gently and met my lips in an eager kiss.
I had meant to break away, to fight him, but he was right, it was pleasure. My skin had prickled at his slightest touch and when his lips meant mine, I heard him groan. He had put his arms around me, pulling me closer on the small leather couch. One hand pulled gently on my tail and the other wound itself in my hair. A few seconds later I heard a nearly identical low vibrating issuing from his own chest.
It had shocked me at first, hearing Logan's own purr and mine mixed together. Kind of like a little band. I felt his hands move to my shirt and he pushed a hand up and it collided with my warm skin.
"Logan," I warned, reminding him of our little deal.
"Listen to us," He whispered and I could still hear the humming of our purring, “Made you purr!"
He rolled off me and I was left in a mixture of pleasure and shock. The low rumble could still be heard from him, but I stopped the moment his hands left me.
"Ha Ha! Made you purr!" He said again, happily.
"Good for you," I grumbled, getting up from the couch and heading towards the door.
Instead of stopping me, like I had expected, he threw a jacket my way, “ Better wear it. It's cold outside tonight."
I had wanted to throw it into the fireplace across the hall, but decided that might be a little rude. So, I took it and waited, expecting him to follow me out the door anyway.
"Waiting for me, are you?"
"Well, I figured you'd follow me, anyway," I explained.
"Alright. Well, let's get you home then. We'll see what else I can get you to do on the way," He joked.
I turned around and gave him a hard look. We made it out of the house and it was, indeed, cold outside. I was grateful for his warm coat.
"You've got some soft fur," He remarked after a while of walking in the dark.
"Shut up, Logan," I replied in a huff.
"I had been wondering for a while about that ear of yours. It looked pretty bad a week ago, but it looks better now. Must have been pretty painful," He remarked, ignoring my last comment.
I sighed and could see my breath being expelled into the cool, evening breeze. We approached my house soon and stood on the front steps.
"What? Do you think I'm going to invite you in?" I asked, turning around to face him.
"Well, no, but I do want my jacket back," He said with a smile.
I wrinkled up my nose in displeasure and pulled my arms out of his coat, “Here."
I pushed the jacket towards him and he snickered, while walking down the steps back towards his house, “I can't wait to tell everyone about our little rendezvous tonight."
I was just getting ready to put the key in the door, but I faltered, looking back towards the road, “Logan?"
"Huh?" He asked from the end of our driveway.
"You're not really going to tell people, are you?"
I was concerned and I didn't want others to know what had really happened. I'd never hear the end of it - never. Logan shifted his weight on one leg and stared at me for a moment.
"Rave, it really wouldn't be that big of a deal even if I did."
I took a step down the concrete steps towards him and placed my hand on my chest, "Well, it matters to me, okay? Please don't tell people. I don't want that sort of reputation. I was just...frightened."
He snickered," Oh, okay. Just frightened-"
"Logan! I'm serious. Don't tell anyone, okay?"
His usually happy go lucky smile turned serious for a brief moment, “Okay. I didn't think it meant that much to you. I won't tell anybody."
"Thank you."
Those were the last words exchanged that eventful evening. I slid into my house to find it dark, with all the occupants asleep. I went up the few flights of stairs before falling into my bed, fast asleep.
I never actually did respond, but he wrapped an arm around my waist and we walked side by side through a few streets and ended up at a four story home.
