Chapter Fifteen:

There was smudges of dirt on his nose and forehead. Eli would most likely, no definitely make him take another bath before the end of the day. Jamie stood up and try to wipe the smudge away with the sleeve of his shirt, when a hand came up and tap him gently on the shoulder, startling him. he turned to see Alan laughing at him.

“You sure get scared easily Jamie,” Alan commented. Still laughing.

“I'm sorry if I seems that way to you, Alan, but it can't be help, after all I have been targeted so many times by the king enemies that I.....”

“No need to explain it to me I heard about what happened to you from that jerk Demetrius.”

“Oh, is Demetrius still giving you a hard time Alan?”

Alan nod his head with a sighed, “the man is even worst then before I swear that the man hold some personal grudge against me.”

“What make you think that?” Ask Jamie as he dust the dirt of his clothes.

“Well how else am I suppose to explain his behavior toward me?”

Jamie smiled, “I think that he's just trying to hide the true that he likes you, I don't think that Demetrius would allow a man that he hates to be near him.”

“What make you think that he even likes me? The man been nothing but hostile toward me.”

“Its just a feeling I got when I see him watching you, when you ignore him. He watches you with this look in his eyes, it the same looks that the king gives me when ever he sees me. I don't think that Demetrius himself is aware that he is looking at you in that way. Then again I might be wrong since I am knew to these things after all." Jamie explained.

Eli spotted Jamie at that moment and came walking toward the two of them with a frown on his face, “Jamie why am I not surprise to find you here, really how many of those flowers are you planting to plant boy? I know you love your father, but do you really need to plant that much of his favorite flowers in the royal garden?”

Alan laughed and Jamie giggles, “sorry Eli, I promise, this is the last time that I'll be here.”

Eli shakes his head at Jamie and turned to Alan, “Alan, I ran into Demetrius, he was looking for you, he looks worried.”

“Humph, I doubt that he is worried about me at all, he is properly worried that I might commit some evil crime and run away while he wasn't looking.” Alan commented before heading inside the castle.

Jamie went back to his room and bath. When he got out of the bath Eli had already brought in his noon meal. He sat down and about to eat his noon meal when Eli returned to join him. Eli sat down across from Jamie.

Jamie looked up from his food and straight at Eli, “oh, Eli, before I forgot yesterday the King said that we will be accompany him to the country of Siren for Theron wedding, I'm really excited to returned to my country after being away for so long even if its just for a week.” Jamie said with excitement, written all over his face.

“Jamie, tell me where do you want to go? And who do you want to visit? When you return to Siren.” he asked with a smiled.

“The first place I want to go is definitely my home in the mountain and as for who I want to visit that will be the towns people that took care of me.” Answer Jamie.

Eli let out a chuckles, “I knew it, some how I knew that you would give me an answer like that.”

“I'm I that obvious?” Jamie asked before he start eating.

Eli nods his head and start eating as well. The rest of their meal time was spend talking about what they should bring along when they leave for Siren.

Conor on both his knees in front of Sebastian hold his head up high and glared at the man in front of him daring the man to do his worst. Sebastian smirk at the man before descending the stairs toward the man before him, when he reached Conor he stared straight into Conor eyes.

“Tell me, Conor, what should I do with you? Should I have you beheaded and hang your head in the middle of the city for all to see or should I killed you in the same manner you killed my first love.”

“Do as you wish after all I am now your prisoner I don't have a right to choose do I?” Conor answer dryly.

"Then as you wish I will have you executed tomorrow morning and have your head hang out for all to see.” Sebastian said with a cold smiled. He summoned the guards by the door, "Guards take him back to the dungeon and guard him well tomorrow he will be executed, if he escaped both of your head will be chopped of instead of his understood.”

“Yes your highness,” the guard answer quickly, they took Conor by the arms and dragged Conor back to the dungeon.

That night a person with a mask break into the dungeon and helped Conor escaped.

“Who are you? And why are you helping me?” Conor asked as soon as they were far away from the castle.

“You don't need to know who I am, all you have to know is that I was order to help you escaped, now go before the guard wakes up from the drugged,” the man in the mask said.

“ Who was it that order you to save me?” ask Conor.

The man in mask took out a letter and hand it to Conor, "I was told to give you this letter if you asked me that question." Conor took the letters from the man and read it, damn it its in code he will have to decipher it, He kind of already have an idea as to who it might be that order for him to be rescue. If he is right then he really should walked right back to the castle and let them excuted him, for he did not want to be in the man debts.

Conor glared at the mask man, “this letter you gave me already give me a clue as to who gave you the order to rescue me, I am going to go straight to him and thank him personally,” Conor gritted out before he spin around and walked away. Mad that the man acted with out thinking once again.

The guard was shaking in fear, A cold smirk came on Sebastian face as he walked toward them. The guard tremble with more fear when they saw their King stretch out his hand and a sword appeared in his hands, they thought that they were going to die. The door to the throne room opened at that precise moment and Jamie enter the room with a happy smile on his face, but when he sees what the King was about to do his happy smile turned upside down.

“Your highness please tell me? What did these two guards do? For you to want to kill them?” Jamie asked as he walked toward the King.

Sebastian cold smirked turned into a gently smiled, "I have to keep my word and cut off their heads for letting Conor escaped.” he answered Jamie.

“Your highness I am sure that they did their best to guard Conor, as you ordered them too after all they are your loyal subject.”

“A King must keep his words, I all ready warned them that if the prisoner escaped that I will have their heads instead.”

“Yes your highness its true that a King must kept his words, but a good King also needs to know if the punishment fits the crime, try putting your self in their shoes your highness, then you will see that its not easy being a prisoner guard, they constantly put their own life at risked to served you, so please your highness spare them their life and give them a softer punishment.” Jamie pleaded.

Sebastian turned to face the two guards, “since consort Jamie had pleaded with me to spare your life, I will take both your right arms instead as punishment for failing me.”

The guards nodded their head with full understanding, they were grateful that their live was spare. Now they are able to returned home to their family, they pulled out their sword and swiftly cut off their right arms for their King. They stood up and turned to their consort, “thank you for pleading for our lives consort Jamie. Now we are able to returned to our husband and children”

The guards bow to their King and left the room leaving a trail of blood behind as they make their way to see the royal doctor.

As soon as the guard left Jamie turned his attention back to the King, “your highness was it really necessary for that, couldn't you just give them twenty lashes as punishment.” Jamie commented.

Sebastian answered, “no.” he took Jamie hand and returned to his throne and sat down, he sets Jamie on his laps and silently pet his wolf.

The news that Conor had escaped did not the least bit surprised him. After all it was part of his plan. To catch the tiger you have to let the cub goes. Now all he have to do is wait for the bait to led him to his prey. Before he move in for the big kill. Lawrence entered the throne room and report to his King.

Jamie completely forgot the reason why he came to see the King. Only later that night did he suddenly remember why he went to see the king. But by then it was to late the King is already asleep, well he will just have to wait till tomorrow.

A week after that day Sebastian left the country of Zhanthia to attend his brother wedding in the country of Siren, sitting in the fine furnished carriage beside him is his consort, Jamie, across from him is his consort, Eli, and his two boys.

“I still cannot believed that the carriage is actually flying,” Jamie made that comment as he looked out the carriage small glass window.

Eli laughed and Sebastian smiled, he was glad that the boy is enjoying himself. Jamie turned away from the window and smiled at Sebastian. Suddenly he remember the King said that he had a surprised for him once they arrive in Siren.

“Your highness, tell me, what is this surprise you said you have for me when we get to Siren?” Jamie asked with excitement.

“If I tell you now it won't be a surprise Jamie,” Sebastian answered with a grin.

Jamie leaned back against the carriage seat, he turned his head around and gaze up at the king, you are right your highness it wouldn't be a surprise if you told me before hand.”

Sebastian leaned down until his lips is just inches away from Jamie, “I'm glad that you understand Jamie,” he whispered softly before kissing the boy on the lips.

Eli turned away and he was glad that the little prince is asleep, if they weren't then they would be answering question right now.

Jamie turned bright red after the King kisses him, he heard, Eli, soft laughed and he quickly buried his face in the King warm chest. He couldn't believe that the King would kiss him in front of Eli. Sebastian gently stroke Jamie hairs, Jamie removed his face from the King chest and glance up at the King, he smiled.

The sun was shining brightly in the sky when Jamie step out of the carriage and took the King hands, he gasped out loud when he saw his home, the home he thought he would never see again, he removed his hand from the King and ran all the way up to his little cottage, he flung the door opened and step inside. Every thing is where he left it that day the only things missing is the weaving machine he has the king delivered to him.

“You like the surprise?” Sebastian asked from where he's standing.

Jamie walked over to the King side, he stood on tip toe and kissed the King on the lips, he pulled away “I love it, I love it very much.” he exclaimed.

“I'm glad to hear that Jamie, because we will be staying here in your little cottage until the weddings over.” Sebastian said with a grin.

Jamie immediately wrapped his arms around the King, “thank you so much your highness you don't know how much this mean to me.” Jamie said between tears of joy.

Sebastian put his arms around the boy and hugged the boy as well, seeing how happy the boy is make him happy as well. Eli enter the cottage with the two boys by his side, “this is your home, Jamie, it looks so cozy, you must really love it here?” Eli commented. He meant every word of what he said.


Jamie pulled himself away from the King embrace, “yes I love it here, Eli, and I'm sure that you and the boys will love it here as well.”

The two boys ran up to Jamie, “daddy, we want to see the waterfall, we never seen one before,”

“We shall go but not now boys we have to get settle in first after all we are staying here for a whole week.” said Jamie.

The boy pouted their lips and Jamie smiled at them, he bend down and whispered beside their ears that they could go to the small waterfall with him later today to catch fish for dinner tonight. The boy stop pouting and run off to play outside.

Sebastian walked over to Jamie, “I will be back before dinner time I have to let the King of Siren know that we have arrived.”

Jamie nod his head and Sebastian left. Eli walked up to Jamie, “all right lets clean this place up.”

Theron was more then happy to see his brother, he give his brother a hugged then turn to his soon to be husband the King of Siren, "I told you that he will be here Leon.”

Leon nod his head, “your highness King of Zhanthia may I asked you, if you have heard any thing in regard to my young son Caelane.”

"Before I arrived here Jamie received a letter from him and Devin, the two of them are fine they are trying their hardest to rid themselves of the cursed.”

Hearing this Leon allow him self to feel relief, he thank god that his son Caelane is well. He pray every night and day for his son safety. Thank you for letting me know that my sons is alright.”

“Don't thank me, thank Jamie he was the one who made me promise to tell you, I would have told you even if you didn't asked.”

Leon smiled, "I will surly thank your consort.”

Sebastian pick up the glass of wine in front of him, he brought it to his lips, "make sure that you thank Jamie properly he care for that boy like his own little brother and if you don't I will surly make you pay," Sebasatian warned, then he drink the wine in his hand.

"Have the King of Nary arrive yet with your son Kade?” Sebastian asked as he set his glass back down on the table.

“No, not yet,” both Leon and Theron replied.

Sebastian stood up from his chair, “I am afraid that I have to take my leave now, I promise Jamie that I would returned in time for dinner. Let me know once the King of Nary arrive, he and I have things to settle with each other.”

"Yes, of course," Leon replied as he stood up as well.

Theron went over to his brother and give him a good-by hugged, “bring Jamie and Eli here plus the boy as well, I would like to see them.”

Sebastian nod his head. He give his brother a peck on the forehead and left.

Nicholas and Jeffery arrived in the country of Aislin and they immediately went to see Jeffery father, Jeffery father was sitting in the court yard having tea with Jeffery consort.

“Father I have returned,” he announced out loud.

Jeffery father set his tea cup down, “I see that you have returned Jeffery but why did you have to bring him here with you as well.” Jeffrey father pointed to Nicholas standing by Jeffery side.

Nicholas step forward and give the man a fake smiled, "I came here with a letter from my King, a letter that he address to you specifically.” Nicholas said as he hand the man his kings letter.

Jeffery father took the letter from Nicholas with a scowled on his face.

"Jeffery aren't you going to greet me, I am your consort after all." Jeffery consort commented with a smirk on his face.

"Forgive me, I didn't see you there for a moment I thought that you were some low class servant entertaining my father." Jeffery remarked with a smirk of his own.

Jeffery consort face turned red with anger and humiliation. Jeffery father look up from the letter. He looked from Jeffery to Nicholas. Jeffery father raise his hand to strike Nicholas but Jeffery stop him before he could strike Nicholas by gripping his father wrist tightly.

“If you lay a hand on him I will kill you, father!”

“I won't accept it, there is no way I will let you take him as a consort, when you have a lovely consort already,” bark the old man.

Nicholas eyes widen at the word consort, what give that man that idea, there is no way he is going to become Jeffery consort, he hates the man.

Jeffery give his father a smug smiled, “ father you are no longer King, I am, and you better get that through your head, for you have no right to stop me. That is, if you want me to keep your secret, wait its no longer a secret, since the King of Zhanthia himself knew about it as well.” Jeffery shakes his head with a cruel smiled, when he sees the shocked looks in his father eyes, “do you really think that I don't know about it?”

“Even if your father agree I won't I am your consort,” Jeffery consort stated interrupting the two.

Jeffery went over to his consort and whispered beside his consort ears, “you have no right to stop me from marrying Nicholas, don't think that I don't know about your affair behind my back. Do you know what we do to an unfaithful consort in this country, we burned them alive.”

Jeffery step away and turned to his father, “oh yes father, before I forgot Janus is home, the king of Zhanthia had returned him to you good as new untouched. Now if you would excuse me I have some explaining to do.

Jeffery grabbed Nicholas hand and led him out of the court yard. Once they were far away enough, Nicholas took his hand back and frown at Jeffery, “tell me Jeffery what was all that about?”

“The King of Zhanthia have reinstated our engagement we will be marry next month.”

Nicholas was shock and speechless this is the first time he heard about this, damn his King to hell how dare he went ahead and did something like this with out consulting him first. Nicholas vow to give his King an earful when he returned to Zhanthia.

“You're mad aren't you?” Jeffery asked softly.

“Yes I am mad, mad beyond words, there is no word out there that could express how mad I am at you and the King,” snap Nicholas, and in a fit of rage and anger he punch Jeffery hard in the stomach and angrily storm off.”
