~*STORY*~
Thom stood near the exit door, looking at his watch. It was 3:20 PM and they were still inside the Hobby House. He watched his friends as they scuttled from isle to isle like cockroaches. They were each carrying a mountain of pranking toys and didn't look like they were ready to leave yet.
He looked down at his own meager purchases and shook his head wryly, comparing then with the other three's armload. The 3-stooges had gone overboard with their excitement. He stood for another 10 minutes watching his friends until he couldn't take it anymore.
'I should have gone with Nathan,' he gave himself an imaginary whack on the head. Nathan had left 45 minutes ago to do some shopping of his own. He thought for a while and finally made a decision. He was going to check out the other shops outside. Now.
He looked for the nearest 3-stooges. Ah, There.
Thom approached Sven.
“I'm checking out the other shops. Meet you outside the cafe, 5:00 p.m., okay?” Thom curtly said.
“Sure, bro.”
Thom exited the store, leaving Sven to finish his shopping.

Thom was tired. He had been window shopping for an hour now. He Hadn't known it was exhausting business. He paused for a while to catch his breath, examining his surroundings at the same time. He was outside a household store. He also noticed a group of teenagers stood at a distance from him, checking him out. He narrowed his eyes. They looked familiar.
'Weren't they the ones at the cafe earlier?' He asked himself. He peered at them again.
'Wait a minute, they had been at the shoe store, too.'
Thom tried to observe them without giving himself away. One of the teenagers held a piece of paper and was pointing at it, then at Thom. The other teens were obviously giving Thom measured looks. A warning bell rang inside his head.
“This is creepy.” he muttered softly to himself.
Thom walked some more, passing a few shops. He peaked again. His eyes widened.
Ah shit. They where stalking him!
Thom quickened his pace, keenly aware that they were following.
“He's getting away!” One of the teens shouted as a few more kids joined the group.
Thom ran. He ran as fast as his legs could take him. They were chasing him, and some were crashing on the unsuspecting bystanders who were unfortunate enough to stand in their way. He saw Savyn at the other side of the street, her mouth hanging open as she recognized her own brother being chased by a crowd of teenagers. She was holding her cell phone and dialing with a frenzy.
“Help!” Thom yelled, waving his hands just as he turned a corner.
Thom looked for an escape route but all he saw was a fire hydrant. Concentrating his power at it, heightening the water's pressure.. The hydrant blew off its cap, spraying a fountain of water.
“I hope that serves as a distraction,” Thom fervently prayed as he quickly entered a large clothing shop. He was gambling that they would be distracted by the water and not see him come inside.
Thom carefully looked around, trying to find a place to hide. His eyes found Nathan, who was looking at some overcoats near the fitting rooms. He ran to Nathan, just in time to see some of the teens who had been chasing him enter the store.
“Hide me! They're after me!” He frantically told the surprised Nathan as he pointed at his pursuers, who had not yet seen him.
Thom's eyes were wild with fear. He looked from right to left, trying to find an escape when he saw that Nathan was not moving to help him. The stalkers were coming closer! He had to find somewhere to conceal himself!
The fitting rooms were currently full, but Thom was ready to crawl inside, not caring that someone was in there, changing garments. He dropped to his knees and was about to fit his head inside one of the small spaces just below the doors of the changing rooms.
The neighboring room opened and someone exited. An arm was suddenly around his waist, pulling him up and inside. A large body pressed him onto the wall, and someone whispered at him to be quiet. Thom's head was buried on a man's chest and he could smell a familiar scent. It was the same scent that haunted his dreams.
Thom could hear someone rattling the doors of the other rooms. He could also hear the hinges breaking and the shrieks of outrage as the doors were forced opened. Pandemonium had broken outside.
He was suddenly released and he opened his eyes. Nathan thrust a woman's coat into his free hand and and ordered him to wear it. He immediately dropped his shopping bag which had surprisingly survived his run for safety, and hurriedly complied as someone rattled the door of their fitting room.
Nathan quickly pushed Thom against the wall and placed his arms on both sides of Thom's head. He pressed his lips on Thom's just in time for the door to crash open. Nathan angled his head in such a way that it blocked the sight of Thom's face from the person watching them.
“Whooops!” A male voice said, obviously taken aback at the sight that greeted him. Then a second later shouted, ““The kid's not here.”
“Way to go, man!” Someone shouted at Nathan, while another whistled. Footsteps could be heard moving away from the pair in the fitting room..
Thom gave a shudder. That was close. He sighed into Nathan's mouth.
Nathan moved his mouth an inch away from Thom's, stopping the kiss. He rested his forehead on the boy's, their noses almost touching.
“Are you alright?” He gave Thom a penetrating look, and then his eyes suddenly shifted to the boy's mouth when Thom nodded.. His eyes darkened, now a wine red color.
Thom bit his lower lip, shyly returning back the look Nathan was giving him. He could feel the dragon's hot breath on his face. He gave a muffled squeak as Nathan's lips came crashing down on his again. His mind went somewhere else after that.
The pair were practically making out inside the ruined room. They didn't noticed that the commotion had stopped, or heard the voices of the security guards shouting at the offenders who were running away. They didn't see that a new set of eyes watched them intently, not until the watchers practically pulled them apart after a rather long wait.
Thom dazedly gazed at the faces of his sister and the 3-stooges as they were pulled apart. The 3-stooges had a grim look on while his sister had a strange gleam in her eye. He felt uneasy. He was sure they were going to bitch on him and Nathan. He bowed his head and waited for the scolding to come.
“Pay up boys! You owe me a 1,000 dollars each.”
Thom shook his head to clear the cobwebs. He wasn't too sure he heard right.
“Damn Nathan. Did you have to kiss him this soon! One more month should have won me the bet!”
“Noooo! Why do you have to always win, Savyn? Can't you give me a break?”
“Waaaaaa! I'm broke. I hate you Savyn!”
Thom looked up. Savyn was gloating at the 3-stooges, clutching a wad of hundred dollar bills. Nathan just looked amused at their byplay. Thom was relieved they were not angry. But what was really going on? Everything that happened this afternoon was one big question mark to Thom.
Nathan gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze, seeing the confusion and bewilderment on his face. Nathan was about to say something to Thom when a finger tapped his arm.
“Mr. Xiuh, you need to see this.” An elf hybrid told him, holding a piece of paper on her hand. It was the manager of the store and knew Nathan because he was a highly valued customer.
“We got this from one of the kids who were causing all this ruckus. You might want to come with me and question him.”
Nathan took the paper and looked at it. A growl emitted from his throat as he saw and read what was written on it. He folded the paper and put it inside his pocket. Then he pulled Savyn aside, giving her instructions in a low voice that made it impossible for anyone else to understand.
“Take care of him.” Nathan commanded the 3-stooges when he was finished with Savyn. The 3 men saluted and said their ayes, concern laced in their voices.
“Follow Savyn's orders, okay?” He told Thom lastly, his hands tenderly brushing a lock of hair away from Thom's face. “I promise to explain everything the next time we see each other.”
Giving one last bone melting look at the boy, he left with the manager.
