Elemental Super Heroes!

The sun had sunk deep into the sky, and the night of Flood’s and Bud’s handfasting was upon the entire group.

The ritual area was covered in red and white roses, purple lilies and Bud’s favorite flower, the orchid. On the Altar, a beautiful cherry wood table that was almost as tall as a podium, and flat on the top, and as big around as a small coffee table, so the entire group could stand around the circle. It was covered in a black cloth with silver moons of all phases on it, and on that was two stunning unburned white taper candles, and a small incense burner with lavender and rose burning on it, a willow wand was in the center. The altar had the normal things on it as well, the seashell to signify water, the incense burner signified air, the candles for fire, and the pentagram made of clay that was dried in the sun to signify earth.

Flood wore a long flowing renaissance style dress, with a pure white veil and a scarlet belt tied around her waist.

Bud wore black robes, hemmed with silver and red on the tip, he had his head uncovered.

Wind stood at the altar, wearing his silver cloak, and he took the rings from both Flood and Bud as they approached the altar, then he put the small rings on the willow wand and lay them on the altar.

The other Elementals sat around the altar, as Flame cast the circle around the whole of them.

Wind waited until she cast the circle and returned to his side. Flame was wearing her own silver robes this evening. Wind then set the candles ablaze and turned towards the audience of Elementals.

Wind spoke first, rasing his arms up, as if to call to the moon and the auidence.
“May the place of this rite be consecrated for the Gods. For we gather here in a ritual of love With two who would be wedded. Flood and Bud please come forward
and stand here before us, and before the gods of nature.”

Flood and Bud stepped forward, standing before both Flame and Wind, Bud standing in front of Flame, and Flood standing in front of Wind.

Flame then spoke.
“Be with us here, O beings of the Air With your clever fingers tie closely the bonds between these two.”

Wind could be smiling at the calling of his element.

Flame ignored him and continued.
“Be with us here, O beings of Fire Give their love and passion your own all-consuming ardor” And with that Flame smiled. “Be with us here, O beings of Water Give them the deepest of love and the richness of the body, of the soul and of the spirit.”

Flood smiled, keeping her solemn look. Flame continued to speak.

“Be with us here, O beings of Earth Let your strength and constancy Be theirs for so long as they desire to remain together”

From in the audience, the entire group heard “I’m here already!”

Ice turned around and smacked Earth before turning back around.

Flame shook her head and continued, “Be with all of us here, O being of Ice, lend us your powers and serenity. Be theirs for as long as they wish.”

Ice smiled, knowing that Flame was adding each of their elements to the ceremony.

“And be with them the Storm that drives us all, add to us your might and grace, be with them as long as they wish to be.”

Storm, sitting next to Earth, sat straighter.

“Be with our happy couple, O powers of darkness and Shadows, loan us your mystery and force, be with us as long as we wish...”

Shadow grinned. Flame didn’t stop talking.

“Join us here, powers of foliage, lend us your powers of greenery and leafage, may you remain with them through the years.”

Both twins, Bud and Leaf smiled. Flame continued.

“Be with our Handfasting today, O wondrous and golden powers of Gold, lend your shimmer and shine to the happy couple and be with them.”

Goldenna smiled too, as Flame drew the speech to a close.

“Blessed Goddess and Laughing God Give to these before you, we do ask your love and protection
Blessed Be.”

With that, everyone in the congergation spoke, in a voice that rang to the Goddess and God, “Blessed Be.”

Flame and Wind both held up the wand between them with the rings upon it.

Flame spoke again, closing her eyes softly.
“Place your right hands
over this wand and your rings
his hand over hers

Above you are the stars
below you are the stones
as time does pass
Remember
Like a star should our love be constant
Like a stone should your love be firm
Be close, but not too close
Posses one another, but be understanding
Have patience each with the other
For storms will come, but they will go quickly
Be free in the giving of affection and warmth
Make love often, and be sensuous with one another
Have no fear and let not the ways or words
of the unenlightened give you unease
For the Goddess and the God are with you,
Now and Always.”
With that, the entire group, Flame and Wind included, remained silent for the count of five, then, Flame spoke again.

“Is it your wish, Flood to become one with this man?”

Flood nodded, and spoke, “Aye.”

Flame smiled and spoke again, “Is it your wish, Bud to become one with this woman?”

Bud nodded and spoke, “Aye.”

Flame took in a deep breath and spoke yet again.
“Do any say nay?
Then, as the Goddess and the God and the Old Ones
Are witness to this rite
I now proclaim you husband and wife.”

Flame smiled and nodded, as Bud leaned over and lifted Flood’s veil and kissed her, dipping her a bit. Earth looked at Storm and whispered, “Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....” Storm th is time smacked Earth. Flame gave them the rings, and they put the rings on each others fingers.

Bud and Flood were dancing in the starlight ,and the candle light from the several lights that were on stands around the clearing.

Flame smiled and talked with Wind and Storm.

“That was wonderful.” Ice smiled at Shadow, “They did a good job.”

“Yes, they did...” Shadow said.

“I hope someone isn’t getting ideas.” Leaf came up behind Ice.

“I don’t know...I kind of like being free...” Ice smiled.

“What?”

“Time for cakes and wine!” Earth said.

((I know it’s short, but its sweet...and tender. It’s not what I normally come up with. (With Earth’s comments, then, yes.

Okay, here’s the deal... I now have what I call the ‘Elemental Super Hero Beta Fish.’ I don’t have all of them, but I have most of the Elementals. I have them sitting in a row, so I will explain them as they are set up.

Flame- Blood red and very sweet. Sits next to Ice, flares at Ice.

Ice- Pure white, very shy and intimidated, but tends to flare a lot. Loves to flare at Flame and Wind.

Wind- Light grey with light blue shimmering scales and tips of fines. Loves to eat, and ignores Ice, but flares all the time at Storm.

Storm- Light blue and yellow with shimmery scales. Flares at Storm, but ignores Leaf.

Leaf-Blue Green with more green tones, sweet and little, doesn’t flare a lot, but does sometimes.

Flood-Dark blue, flares at me, and nobody else.

I still need Earth, Goldenna and Shadow...er...and Bud.

As I was writing this, Ice flared at Flame, and Flame flared back.

These fish are beautiful and wonderful and easy to keep. I’ll keep you informed on my Elemental Super Hero Beta Fish!))
