Chapter 13

Trust

After he walked me to class school didn’t seem like it could end quick enough. People seemed to be acting different to me. Not like how they did before I became friends with Kate I noticed, but different like they didn’t know how to treat me.

Amy and Britney both seemed to not know rather they wanted to kiss up to me or give me an evil eye. I knew that I wasn’t supposed to like being the Queen Bee and was supposed to try to stop the whole popular thing, but part of me was sad that people not really kissing up to me anymore, they where kissing up to Stephenie.

I had to put a stop to this. I had to get this little honey bee who wanted to be queen to understand that I was not going to let her. I didn’t want this school to be like it was when Kate was alive. I wanted peace. I was tired of having people walk on other people like it was ok.

By the time lunch time had come I knew what I had to do. Tell Stephenie she needed to stop in front of the whole junior class. I just hoped that she wouldn’t try to attack me for it.

Walking into the café I waited for everyone eyes to come onto me and I saw that soon they were but not like how I had hoped they had before when I was the new Kate and I hated that.

I walked over to Stephenie and Mindy only to see that Britney as well as Amy where sitting at our table as well. My eyes stared at them and I felt angry for some reason. I don’t know if it was because I knew that if Kate was here she would grab the two girls by their perfect hair or because I knew that Stephenie had done this.

She had only done this because she didn’t respect me like she did Kate and I hated her for it. I wanted respect.

My eyes looked at Mindy and I saw she looked nervous, like she could read my mind and knew just how angry I was.

“Hello.” I said and saw all their eyes fall on me.

“Hey Minnie.” Britney and Amy said at once smiling.

“Amy-Britney, would you please leave me and my bees alone for a moment?” I asked and folded my arms.

Both of their eyes looked at Stephenie as if to get her ok and this only made me even angrier. She shook her head and they got up walking away from the table but made sure to stay close enough so they could see all of us close enough.

“What do you think you are doing?” I asked Stephenie.

“I think I am trying to get our little group a fourth.” She smiled.

“Who said we needed a fourth?” I asked feeling as if I just wanted to hit that smile off of her face.

“I did, you know since I’m the-well you know.” Her voice seemed smug.

“No I don’t Step.” I said the same way Kate did when she just wanted her to say something rude.

Stephenie hated it when Kate called her Step, for she knew just what Kate was trying to say.

‘You are just like the Steps I walk on.’

“Minnie why don’t you just sit down before you say something you will regret.” She told me softly as if she was ready to attack me, but was trying to be nice. “I would hate to say I am looking for two new bees instead of one.”

“Stephenie Minnie, why don’t we talk about all of this later when we are all alone?” Mindy asked trying to get us to stop, I knew. I didn’t even turn her way as I hit Stephenie right in the nose and heard everyone in the café cheer.

“Come on Minnie.” I heard Mindy begging now. I looked at her trying to shake the day dream from my head.

“Okay, later.” I grinned and sat down looking at a now smiling Mindy who was now handing me something to drink.

“Yes later.” Steph said then moved her hand in the air for her two new followers to come over.

When Britney and Amy came over I wanted to roll my eyes at them, but didn’t because I knew Mindy wanted us to play nice so I was.

I drank some of my drink and tried my hardest not to yell at the three girls across from me. Mindy seemed not to really like this either, but she was going to wait until me and Steph, as well as her where alone I knew just by the way her eyes looked.

After a few minutes of hearing them talk about how much they loved Steph knew hair style, their eyes went on to a girl who walked into the café with really bad fizzy hair and big glasses that made her eyes look like they were coming out of her head.

“Look its Anne.” I heard Amy’s voice above everyone else in the café yell. “Did you get those cloths from the trash?”

Everyone laughed at this and I looked at Mindy only to see she was biting her bottom lip shaking her head. Steph was laughing just like Britney.

“No I think she got it from Jena!” Britney added laughing.

I froze as I heard everyone else in the café begin to laugh at the poor girl who eyes where now being filled with tears. She just walked out of the café.

“Is she going to cry in the restroom?” Steph asked. “How very!”

I got up out of my set and walked out of the café not trying to yell at them. I knew by now they were way to busy laughing to see me even go. I think Mindy would have saw me if her head had not been in her hands.

As soon as I got out of the café I walked into the hallway and went right to my locker. I wanted nothing more than to stand up and finally say something to all of these people who thought they could just walk over people.

But I couldn’t I was as weak as I was before Kate had died.

The rest of my school day passed by in a daze and I didn’t know what I was going to do once I got out of this car with Mindy and Amy. I was so mad that Mindy had said she would take her home since for whatever reason she had not taken her own beat up car.

Beat up or not I would have taken my car if I had one, by the time she had dropped Amy off and was about to drop me off it had been almost a half hour.

“We’ll talk later, ok.” She told me as I got out of her car.

“Okay, later.” I yelled and heard her car pull away as I walked up the walkway.

I put the key in my door to open it and when I did open it I saw Krad sitting on my sofa eyes looking like he had been angry. I stared at him not sure if I was seeing things right or not.

“Minnie is that you?” My mom voice came from in the kitchen.

“Yes.” I yelled and then softly asked. “What are you doing here?”

I saw my mom walk out of the kitchen and she walked right to me with a frown.

“Minnie, what took you so long? Having a guest and not being here when they are, that’s not nice.” I shook my head not understanding my mom really being ok with me and Krad. “He’s a nice boy too Minnie.”

I saw Krad put a smile on his face.

“We’ll be leaving now, right?” Krad said getting up and heading out of the front door.

He was being so rude, I was surprise my mom wasn’t saying anything about it. Then again she may just be happy that it seemed like I was ok from all that had happened, that she was even going to let me go out with someone like Krad.

I looked at where he had been sitting then back at my mom. “Yeah, we’re going out mom.”

“That’s so nice.” She said then I heard a bell ring. My mom eyes went big.

I turned to head out the door.

“You’re leaving right now?” She asked looking at me and back at the kitchen.

“Yes, he’s waiting.”

“Yes, right. Tell him it was nice meeting him and talking to him.” My mom told me and ran to the kitchen.

I laughed at her. She was always trying to cook.

Walking out of the door then closing it as well as locking it. I walked to him and saw that he was on a car. I didn’t know if it was his or not, but noticed it looked very nice.

“Diamond, how have you been?”

I looked up through my eye lashes and wanted to roll my eyes at him for whatever reason. Krad was staring at me now, very demanding and I wasn’t too sure but it looked like he was upset.

He walked over to me from the car he was on and when he moved the car shook. I noticed how he was now towering over me with those long handsome legs of his and there was something in his hands I saw. It was a diamond, but it didn’t look like one of those pretty diamonds that people see on the TV.

No this diamond was one that couldn’t hold any real value. This made me wonder why he had it and I hoped he wasn’t going to give it to me.

“A diamond in the rough.” He said staring at the diamond with care, then closing his hand around the diamond. “But with the right person every diamond will shine.”

When he opened his hand I saw that the diamond looked beautiful. It was perfectly cut and shined the way only diamonds that cost way more then I would ever see would. Now I partly wished he would give it to me, even if I knew I could never keep it.

He then closed his hand again and when he opened it his hand the diamond was gone.

“How did you do that?” I asked with a smile.

I didn’t care how he did that little magic trick all I wanted was for him to kiss me and help me forget all about my problems from early today, but it seemed he wasn’t going to kiss me.

“Let’s get out of here.” He said and pulled me down the walkway onto the side walk.

We walked for a few moments before I finally worked up the nerve to say something to him.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked as we walked. I was tired of the salience and just wanted him to say what was wrong.

“We’re not going fast enough for me.” He said and stopped walking then looked at me.

“I don’t know what you mean.”

I hoped he didn’t mean as far as us having sex, because even if I did love him I was not ready. I wanted to wait.

His eyes stared into mine. He looked as if he was holding something back. I wasn’t sure what he was holding back, but whatever it was he was angry because of it.

“I getting tried of having to wait for you, I want you now.” He began and I opened my mouth to ask him what he meant, but he put his finger on my lips. “I want all of you and I can’t have all of you until a few things are done. I know you’ll be worth the wait, but you are like the greatest of all temptations and highest of all sins.”

“Thanks.” I looked at him confused beyond belief. What on earth was he talking about?

He shook his head pulling me close to him and then kissed me lightly on the lips only to pull away.

“I wanted to see you.” He smiled making me happy that he seemed to returning to the guy I loved. “What are you doing to me love?”

I just kept quiet waiting for him to finish. I wasn’t going to say anything until he stopped. Then I would tell him to just come see me when he was ok.

“When I think about you it makes me want to-I love you so much. You don’t know how long I-I love you Minnie.”

I stared at him my anger with him no long there. I was happy with what he had just said to me; even if it wasn’t the best way some could say they love you. I love him for saying it and I loved that he loved me.

“I love you to.” I said to him.

He pulled me so close to him as he kissed me. I felt good inside finally. I felt like I was on the stars and I was never going to come down. He soon pulled away from me and I knew I must look goofy to him with my face all red by now.

“I hate it when you have to be in school.”

“I hate it to.” I told him smiling. Then I bit my lip wishing I was inside biting his lips and licking them to. I felt him shiver against me and this made me smile. “How was your day?”

“Bad, until I led eyes on you.”

“You are silly.” I told him hugging him.

We soon began to walk more down the walkway until we reached the park in which we had first meet. I smiled remembering how he had looked so handsome under the star light.

“This is where we meant.” I said to him. I looked at him and saw that he was just staring out in space. I shook my head and walked ahead of him and set down on the same bench I always set on when I was walking my dog.

I looked up and saw that he was now walking over to me. His eyes were glowing red. I shook my head at that. No it must be the light I told myself.

“You know what you know a lot about me, but I don’t know anything about you.” I told him with a smirk.

He looked puzzled almost as if he was thinking if he should tell me or not. This made me wonder if I wasn’t the only person in his life to really know who he is. Almost as if he had a huge wall, with wolves, as well as a storm in front of his heart blocking anyone from entering.

“Sure what the fuck am I waiting for?” He laughed as he grabbed my hand. “What do you want to know my love?”

I knew I had to be blushing right now. He loved me, plain old me.

“Do you have any brothers or sisters?” I asked knowing this question was an easy one.

Krad looked like he was ready to laugh. “No, but I had a best friend who was like my brother.”

“Had?”

“He died.”

“I’m sorry.” I sadly said rubbing my thumb over his hand.

“Don’t worry about it, I don’t.” He said that as if he was being honest and I wanted to believe him, but really didn’t. He couldn’t have been ok with his friend dyeing.

“What was his name?” I asked.

“Rain.”

I looked hardly at him. That was a weird name.

He must have noticed my face because he started laughing a real laugh. I loved the sound of his laugh.

“Yeah I know. His mother was really into water-I guess-even his little sister name was weird, but kind of cute, Aquamarine.” He laughed again making me even happier. “We used to call her Aqua. She used to always try to follow us around. She was only a year younger than me and him, but she was still his little sister. She was like a sister to me as well.”

“Where is she?” I questioned even though he had just said she was like a sister to him I still found myself becoming jealous.

“She died just like him.” He then closed his eyes looking away from me.

I pulled his arm around me and leaned into him wanting him to know I was here for him.

“How did they die?”

“They were killed.” He hesitant and I hugged him to me.

“That must have been hard.” I told him.

“I got over it.”

“You know you have me right?” I asked him looking up at him and saw that his eyes where looking into mine with an emotion I was not able to read. Then he smirked.

“I know my diamond in the rough. You’re all I have in world and I’ll never give that up.”

A/N: Okay I know that some of these chaps feel like they may be short/not whole, but that’s because I have cut things out. I am trying to make them still flow right, but yeah that’s why you may get that feel. I want to publish this one day.
