Chapter 14
The Sea Noose
I was resting on my elbows, over Cian's chest. He was still sleeping. My body was lying up to his chest from between his open legs. When I first moved to my current position, one of his legs came up and hooked over my hip slightly. His lace covered crotch was pressed against my small stomach, and my bare chest was pressed against his. I lightly trailed a finger down his cheek, following the curve of his chin.
“Cian...” my voice was soft, it was barely a whisper. He didn't stir. I smiled softly. “Cian...” my whisper ghosted over his neck. Still, he didn't move. I moved my finger down his jaw, lightly skittering over his neck and over his collar bone. I watched my finger as it circled his nipple lightly. I glanced up when I felt his hips shift ever so slightly under me. I continued to circle his nipple, pinching it between my thumb and forefinger lightly. His hips moved again, this time there was a noticeable growing stiffness pressed against my stomach.
I smiled and slowly pushed myself up and off of him, gently pushing his leg off of my hip as I went. I quickly slid off the bed and softly padded into the bathroom. I crouched in front of the lower cabinets and quietly moved things around, looking for something. When I found it, I smiled. I peeked into the bedroom, making sure he was still asleep, before I slowly and quietly walked to the end of the bed and studied him.
His legs were spread eagle, the one that had been resting on my hip was crooked at the knee. His arms were above his head, his muscles stretching. His flat and hard stomach looked perfect. The lacy underwear was noticeably bulging in one certain area. Overall, he looked too sexy for his own good. I nodded and held up the camera I took from the bathroom and snapped the picture. The flash didn't even make him stir. I smiled and went back into the bathroom and set the camera on the counter. I grabbed the brush and brushed through my hair quickly, getting out any tangles that might have appeared in the night.
When I was satisfied with my hair, I went back into the bedroom, climbing in next to Cian. I used his chest as my pillow and wrapped an arm around his waist. He turned towards me, bringing an arm down and wrapping it around my back. His hips twisted, one leg coming back over to hook over my hip. I smiled an closed my eyes, basking in the feeling of being held so lovingly.
I opened my eyes and blinked. I wasn't snuggled against Cian, my head wasn't resting on his chest. I was snuggled against a pillow. My brow furrowed in confusion. I sat up and looked around the room. The bathroom door was open, but there was no sound coming from it. I bit my lip and got out of bed, quickly going over to my dresser and pulled out a loose, blank tank top. I slipped the tank top over my head as I softly padded down the hallway, looking into the kitchen and living room for Cian. I didn't see Vitas either.
A sharp stabbing pain filled my chest and I had to clench my hands into fists, my nails digging into my skin to keep from crying. I shook my head. He wouldn't just leave. He wouldn't. I took a deep breath and opened the back door. The white gate was open and my stomach jolted. I thought it was closed from the last time I went out. I ran my fingers through my hair and slowly walked towards the open gate, looking for any sign of Cian or Vitas.
There were indentations in the sand, but those were always there. I took another deep breath and started walking down the worn, stone path hidden within the golden grass. I closed my eyes and let my feel guide me down the path I've been down many times. My feet didn't falter when the stone changed to sand, my bare feet sinking within the sand. The sound of crashing waves became louder as I drew closer to the shore. The salty air was sweet, almost to the point of being bitter.
I opened my eyes when the sand I was walking on became damp. I was standing on the shore where the water would reach but the waves weren't quite reaching yet. I looked up at the sky, the clouds were light gray, covering the sun from view. I looked out to the ocean and stared at the horizon. The waves changed their pace constantly, but the horizon always stayed the same. It never changed. It might have envied the waves and how they could change, but I bet the waves envied the horizon for simply staying the same, never changing once in its place.
I looked down the beach, to my left and let my eyes travel the curves of the shore and up the sharp, jagged rocks at the distant end. I looked down the other side and my eyes traveled down the curves of the shore, no rocks in sight. I started walking down the never ending shore, staying on the damp sand.
I closed my eyes again, the curves of the shore ingrained within my mind and let my feet guide me once more. My arms wrapped around my waist loosely, the light ocean breeze causing small chills to run down my spin. The sound of a dog barking in the distance teased my ears. The barking sound was distorted, the crashing of the waves over powering them in small tidbits. I opened my eyes and looked down at my feet, watching how my steps were steady and measured. I looked up when I heard the dog barking again, though this time it was much clearer and more pronounced.
I saw Vitas running towards me, tail wagging behind him, his tongue lolling from his mouth. I smiled softly and crouch down when he got closer. His cold nose rubbed against my cheek, his tail thumping against the sand as he sat on his hind legs in front of me. I scratched his back, smiling when he rolled on his stomach, his back leg scratching against his stomach as I rubbed his belly. I looked up again when I heard a soft chuckle and met the warm eyes of Cian. He was wearing a pair of snug jeans, shirt and long, big, heavy jacket. I stopped petting Vitas.
He panted happily and trotted off down the shore, his tail wagging behind him. I stood slowly, brushing my hair behind my ear. Cian smiled at me and came closer, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling my body flush against his. His jacket was open and he wrapped up both up in it, our body heat melting together. I wrapped my arms around his chest, burying my face in his neck. He rubbed my lower back softly.
“It's ok, Kassy. I didn't mean to be gone for so long.” his voice was rough and soft as he whispered in my ear. He pressed a soft kiss against my temple and help me tightly. I nodded and sniffled slightly.
“I know, it's just that I woke up... and you weren't there and I...” my voice cracked, my throat closing up painfully. He rubbed my back with both hands.
“Shh, I know, Kassy, I know. I should have left you a note or I should have woken you up before I left. It's all right. I'm here now.” I nodded into his neck and took deep breaths. He held me close and rubbed my back soothingly. When my breathing was back to normal I pulled back slightly and looked up into his warm, loving eyes. He smiled softly and kissed me gently.
“I know, Kassy, I know.” I gave him a small smile and rested my head back on his chest. He rested his head on top of mine and continued to hold me.
When Vitas decided that he wanted to come back to us, I kept my arm wrapped around his waist and he kept one of his over my shoulder as we made our way back home. Vitas bet us to the golden grass and disappeared. As Cian and I got to the gate, we saw him sitting patiently at the door, waiting for us. I was reluctant to let Cian go when we got into the house, but I knew I had to. He took off his jacket, hanging it up and pushed me towards the living room.
“Go get warmed up, Kassy. I'll be there in a minute. I'm just going to get some food for Vitas.” I nodded and curled up on the couch after adding another log to the fireplace. My legs were pulled up to my chest, my arms wrapped around my waist, when Cian came into the living room, carrying two bowls, one filled with food the other with water. He set the on the floor in front of the fireplace, where Vitas was lying contently and came over to the couch.
“Come on, Kassy.” he held out his hand and I hesitantly took it. He pulled me up, my body coming to stand flush against his and he smiled softly at me. “Let's get warm, shall we?” I nodded and let myself be gently pulled down the hall and into my bedroom once more. He softly closed the door behind us and pushed me up against it. His lips found mine, his hands on my hips, stroking my skin softly.
My eyes fluttered closed and my arms twined around his neck, one hand gently grasping his hair. He pressed himself against me, an involuntary gasp escaping my mouth when I felt his hardness press against my stomach. He took advantage of my gasp, deepening our kiss further. My stomach felt like liquid fire, my insides burning in pleasure. Cian moved one hand slowly under my shirt, lightly stroking my stomach. My stomach muscles quivered, but I didn't pull away. He moved his hand higher, cupping my breast gently, flicking his thumb over my nipple.
I gasped again, this time my hips bucking up against his of their own will. He pressed his hips more firmly against mine, holding me against the door and pressing his hardened member against my stomach. One of my legs moved up, hooking my thigh over his hip. He moaned softly, his member pressing against the more hidden parts of my body where nothing had been in years. I pulled back, my head thumping back against the door and took deep breaths. My eyes were tightly clenched shut, my cheeks flushed and my lips swollen from kissing.
“Kassy...” his voice was warm, soothing. “It's just me, Kassy. It's just me...” he kissed my cheek and didn't move his body away, letting me get used to the feeling of someone between my legs, with out the impending feeling of pain. I slowly opened my eyes and stared into his. He cupped my cheek gently and stared back.
“It's just me...” I leaned forward, hesitantly, and brushed my lips against his. He smiled and kissed me back slowly, his hand moving from my breast to rest on my hip once more. My arms around his neck loosened slightly, my body relaxing against the door. He pressed against me harder, one of his hands moving down to wrap underneath my ass. I wrapped my other leg around his waist as he pulled back, winding his other arm around my back tightly.
He carried me to the bed, lying me down in the middle and climbed on top of me, taking his shirt off, remaining in his snug jeans. He unwrapped my legs from my waist and pushed them apart gently. I tensed momentarily, relaxing when he leaned down and kissed me softly, his hands stroking my inner thighs.
“It's all right, Kassy. It's just me...” I nodded and took a deep breath, willing my body to relax once more. He smiled and kissed my cheek, leaning back and continued to stroke my thighs gently. I raised my hands above my head, my fingers tightening around my elbows. He stopped stroking my thigh and slowly moved his hands up, underneath my tank top, lifting it up as his hands went higher. I lifted my back and pulled my shirt off when his hands reached my breasts. He took my shirt from me and tossed it onto the floor, leaning down and lightly kissing my breasts as I rested my arms back above my head.
“It's ok, Kassy. It's just me... remember that, Kassy. It's just me.” he kissed my neck softly, his hands lightly trailing down my stomach to slid underneath the waistband of my cotton shorts. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
“It's just you...” his hands slid my cotton shorts off of my hips and down my legs, tossing them onto the floor near my shirt. He lightly bit my neck, his fingers then sliding underneath the waistband of my underwear. I stiffened slightly, my nails digging in to my arms. He stroked my hips gently.
“Shh, it's just me, Kassy, it's just me...” I took a deep breathing, my chest hitching, I nodded.
“It's just you...” I bit my lip hard.
