Chapter Thirteen

A/N- Sorry this one's so short, it's kinda just a filler chapter, so bear with me!
So is Tony and Andy's story not very popular? haha or maybe it's too much at the same time with WAP?
Thanks to my beta!
Quick edit thanks J42 for pointing that one out!

Chapter Thirteen

The sound of raised voices suddenly quieted and a slamming of a door echoed down the hallway and reached my ears. I felt really bad about informing Cody that way. He didn’t deserve it but I had to get Awan back. The confrontation had kinda put a damper on my mood.

Tony and I wandered through his modest apartment. Considering how rich he was he didn’t show it with the things he bought.

A few plants that hadn’t been there the last time I visited were dotted around the living room; Tony had never been a plant guy so I found this a little odd.

“Hey Tony, what’s with all the plants?”

“Oh, they’re Andy’s. He said that I should have some plants in here, they’d liven the place up a bit. He’s the one that looks after them though; you know how bad I am with these things.”

I smiled.

“Speaking of Andy, where is he?”

“He’s in the kitchen; he wanted to make sure everything was perfect.”

We rounded the corner and entered the large kitchen area; I was always amazed at the size - my living room would fit in there with room to spare. A small blonde was rushing around the kitchen, taking out food from the fridge and then placing it in the stainless steel oven. The aroma’s coming from there made my mouth water. Was that thyme I could smell?

“Hey Andy, José’s here.”

Andy stopped in the middle of checking some concoction in a pan and turned around to face us. He was slightly flushed from running about the place preparing food. His eyes lit up at the sight of us. Woah, he’s adorable.
He bustled over to us with a huge grin on his face and pulled me into a hug.

“José I’m so glad you could make it! I searched everywhere for a vegetarian recipe for you, I hope you like it!”

He released me from the hug and started bustling around the kitchen again. I stood there shell shocked. Where’d he get his energy from? I hadn’t even had the chance to get a word in edgeways.

“I bought some wine Andy; I hope it goes with the meal.”

“What type?” he asked, not looking up from the pot he was stirring.

“Jacob's Creek chardonnay, I hope that's ok.”

“Yeah, that’s great José! It should go well with the lasagne. It's nice of you to bring something.Shove it in the freezer so it’ll be chilled by the time dinner’s ready…Should be another twenty minutes.”

Tony grabbed the bottle off me and placed it in the large fridge freezer.

Half an hour later we were sat at the table eating the most delicious vegetarian lasagne I had ever tasted. I told Andy this as I broke off another piece of garlic bread.

Andy smiled and flushed a little at the compliment. Tony and Andy shared little glances and quick kisses throughout the meal, occasionally Tony would feed Andy some of the lasagne.

I smiled at their closeness. I’m glad they found each other - I just wished I had someone to love like that.
I helped clean up after the meal, much to Andy’s annoyance.

When everything was finished we chilled out for a while, sipping the white wine and watching some TV. Andy had been struggling to stay awake, yawning every few minutes and jolting awake. Eventually he dozed off, snuggled into Tony’s chest. I smiled at him.

“I’m gonna leave you guys in peace now.” I spoke as quietly as I could, not wanting to disturb Andy. He looked really worn out.

“I’ll show you out.” Tony started to move, causing Andy to groan and scrunch his nose up a little.

“No, don’t worry. Let him sleep, I’ll show myself out.”

I leant over Tony and popped a quick kiss on his cheek.

“Thanks for inviting me over and tell Andy I’ll have to have him cook more. He’s perfect for you Tone!”

He practically glowed with happiness and looked down at Andy, brushing away some of his blonde hair that’d fallen into his eyes.

“Yeah, he is,” he replied wistfully.

I grinned at him and walked to the front door and let myself out. I gingerly edged my way passed Awan’s apartment, not wanting another confrontation when I knew work was going to be pure hell with him around. Well he can do his worst; I’m so ready for him- the fucker!

I moseyed my way down the stairs and into the front lobby, I passed the doorman, Rob and nodded a greeting at him. I started to walk down the front steps when I noticed a vaguely familiar blonde head. It was Cody, his brown eyes slightly swollen and rimmed in red. He’d been crying obviously.

I hesitated, waging an internal battle. Should I talk to him or not? I felt really bad, he was in a foreign country, had come all the way from the States to find out that his boyfriend slept around with his work partner at the drop of a hat. I warily approached him, not wanting to get the shit beaten out of me by this distraught man.

“Hey…Cody right?”

He looked up in alarm, brown eyes widening but when they rested on my face they narrowed. He quickly wiped at his face with the palms of his hands and stood up; he was a couple of inches taller than me.

“Y…Yeah. I uh, I didn’t catch your name…uh…yeah…”

He trailed off, looking at the ground. I raised an eyebrow; well that certainly wasn’t what I expected. I thought he’d scream at me for stealing his man, maybe throw in a few punches for good measure.

“Yeah, I’m José. Look I’m really sorry about Awan,” he flinched at the mention of his name. “If I’d known he had a boyfriend I would have steered clear of him.”

Cody looked at me for a long time. Probably trying to see whether I was lying or not. After a few long minutes he sighed and looked away.

“Yeah, it’s not your fault. I mean I had an idea he’d probably do something like this but y’know I thought maybe he’d resist, I thought I meant more to him than that.”

He looked so distressed; I didn’t know what to do. I’m useless in situations like this; I just stand there like a doll, trying to figure out the right words to say. It’s doubly worse though because I’m the guy that Awan slept with.

“Look, you wanna go get a coffee or something?” I asked him, not sure what else to do. He looked at me for a little longer and smiled a small broken smile.

“Yeah, sure. That’d be nice.”
