The End

Abdel stood back, watching the ceremony. Leon was standing by the doorway, waiting for Kitten to enter, looking both excited and a bit regretful at the same time. Rami was up in the front of the room, waiting for Kitten to emerge, escorted by her father and handed over to Rami. And facing everyone was Mekiya, presiding over everything. The principle was understood, the significance and symbolism, though he didn’t understand what all the rush of emotions was for. He pointed a finger at the piano that had been conjured, starting the traditional music.

“Daddy..” Kitten blushed as she stepped out.

Her white gown flowed back, curving over her petite body. The sheer materials mixed in with the satins and diamond snow flakes danced over the back. Her veil came down covering yet showing a hint of her face through the material. It was a gown she had always liked. It was made by a designer she always liked. Magic just happened to conjure it for her. This designer, Annie Winthorpe Kensington, would probably be in disbelief if she knew where her designs were. But it would be a happy disbelief.

“Kitten..” Rami almost stumbled. She was beautiful. He wanted to go to her but he was told to stay put. “She..is..beautiful.”

Abdel watched as the two marched slowly towards Rami. He could see why Rami would want to go to her immediately. The change in her was quite remarkable. She seemed to have a certain glow about her, a radiant vibration that seemed to draw everyone in. She really was quite beautiful, he realized. ‘Wait, what am I thinking? I have no feelings for her, nor anyone for that matter,’ he thought. ‘I… do not feel emotions.’ But that was definitely something that he had felt.

Mekiya too, noticed the change in her. He smiled as she came closer. The two of them would make quite a happy couple, and he would be more than happy to welcome them together into the extended family, as it were.

“Beautiful, huh?” Calypso whispered in Abdel’s ear. “I am the goddess of love, beauty and compassion. I thought I would bring a special gift.”

“Kitten..” Felicia was there? “My baby girl.” The blonde woman stepped forward from the door.

“What?” Kitten gasped, turning slightly. Her arm tensed around her fathers. “M...mom?”

Rami looked up, nodding. This was indeed a special present. Leon could barely breathe. He saw his wife again, looking every bit as young and beautiful as Kitten.

“Felicia...” Leon choked back tears.

“I couldn’t miss my daughters wedding.” Tears welled in her eyes. “So here I am.”

“What do you think?” Calypso wrapped her arm around Abdel’s. “Think they like my gift?” She whispered softly.

“I know them to be happy, yet they cry,” Abdel said. “Do they cry for the loss they have felt, or knowing that this is but for a little while, and will have to suffer the loss again?” He had heard of tears of joy before, though still didn’t see how it was possible. It seemed more logical to think of it as being happy in the moment, but knowing that will have to go through the pain again that caused such tears.

Mekiya watched on, nodding at the reunion. It was as it should be in this moment. He waited, giving them their time to become reunited.

“She isn’t leaving. Here, in their world, she can live.” Calypso gently touched his cheek. “Feel as I feel. Feel as they feel.” She did have emotions like compassion and Joy to share. She understood them. “You can feel.”

“Mom...” Kitten gulped, slightly nervous. She had never met the woman except for when she was a baby. “You..”

“Shh.” Felicia sat down to the side. “We can talk after. Your groom awaits.”

“Felicia..” Leon smiled. His tears fell freely.

“Leon..he waits.” Felicia chuckled.

“Right..” Leon turned, even happier than before. “Rami awaits.”

“Kitten..” Rami stepped a little closer and extended his hand. “My love.”

Abdel felt their joy, their emotions at the reunion. He felt everything, coursing through him in a tidal wave of feelings, washing over him completely. He blinked, feeling a tear forming and running down his cheek. “I…” he paused, uncertain of what he was about to say and feeling. It was all so new to him.

Mekiya nodded as the two stepped forward, hand in hand. “We are gathered today to join this man and this woman under holy ties that bind; two hearts joining as one in a love that none shall take from them from now until the end of all time.”

“Watch..” Calypso snuggled in next to him. “It is a beautiful thing to witness.”

“My love.” Leon swept Felica up into his arms as he sat beside her.

“Leon.” Felicia chuckled and hugged him. “Shh..Their vows come.”

“Rami..” Kitten pulled her veil over so her face was revealed. “I love you.”

Snow began to fall around them. And a child’s giggle was heard. In fact, they found they were not inside anymore. They were surrounded by soft snowy fields. Wolves with black and white fur came up to watch. Animals of all sorts landed. Fenrir giggled, sliding down between Calypso and Abdel.

“Looks like the gods decided to attend our wedding.” Rami leaned forward, kissing her before the you may kiss part was even said.

“Should anyone feel just reason these two should not be joined, speak now and be smited in two, or forever hold your peace. And what I join together, shall no one rend apart,” Mekiya said. He glanced around, knowing no one would object. “And by the powers of me being me, I pronounce these two now one; heart and soul.” He glanced at the still kissing couple. “And that being a bit redundant shall not be repeated.”

“Thank you,” Abdel whispered, glancing at Calypso. He knew that there was no way to fully thank the goddess for what she had shared with him.

“I don’t know...Married at almost fifteen. You let do this.” Felicia shook her head.

“I..the gods..wanted it too.” Leon ahemd.

“I’ll just have to stick around..for..oh, forever..and make sure you help raise our grand kids right, as well.” Felicia smiled. She told him she was staying in her own way.

“Beautiful.” Calypso sighed. “And you’re very welcome.” She leaned up, kissing him softly. “You can thank me later too,” She smirked,” In private.”

“Aroooo.” Fenrir howled. The other wolves were soon joining him. “Aroooo.”

They were singing their song for the couple.

“I… in private?” Abdel blinked at that, feeling a warm rush flow through him at her kiss, and seeing her differently as he glanced at her again, knowing and understanding what she meant. He suddenly felt light headed, and his body was reacting in other ways as well, in other places. He blinked again, turning back to glance at the couple. He wasn’t certain if it was appropriate for a Jin and servant to be having that sort of reaction to a Goddess even if it was something that she had caused.

“And let us not forget that they wanted it as well,” Mekiya said, appearing behind Leon and Felicia. “Look at that, they’re still kissing. Try and tell me otherwise when they’re going on like that.” He chuckled lightly.

“I don’t think they will be stopping for a while...” Felicia looked up. “Thank you..for letting Calypso come and get me.”

“She’s really staying?” Leon was literally trembling as he held her. “With me..with..Kitten?”

“I go see Momma now.” Fenrir clapped and all were returned to the green grassy fields. “Bye!”

He wasn’t there but his voice echoed. He was truly a powerful little boy. Rami and Kitten were still kissing and Calypso was leading Abdel off. She had a large smile on her face as they were fading off.

“Well, I think it would be more fitting that she joined you here, given that the two of you won’t be joining her in the afterlife,” Mekiya said. “Unless this is not what you wish?” He arched a brow, glancing at them, knowing the answer already. He patted them on the shoulder. “I’ll leave the two of you alone. You have a bit of catching up to do. And it’s really not fair that the two of you be kept out of enjoying each other’s company, is it?” He nodded to the departing Abdel and Calypso.

“Again, Thank you.” Felicia held Leon against her. “I’m afraid he is crying too much to say this. But I know his answer.” Leon was nuzzled into her chest whilst he cried. “And Kitten is being carried off by Rami..but I am sure they thank you too.”

“There is no need to thank me,” Mekiya said. “Thanks unspoken is still heard.” He smiled and nodded to the two before fading out. “Living the gift of life that has been given is thanks in itself as well.”

“Mother..” Kitten was just now getting to really talk with her. “I..you..”

“It’s okay, Kitten.” Felicia touched her cheek. “I know you do not know me so well but..you do in your own way. You know me here.” Felicia touched Kitten’s chest, just over the heart. “I am your mother and I have always loved you. I always have watched over you.”

“I am glad..you’re here.” The three days after her wedding had been so full of emotion. Kitten was over whelmed but she would welcome it any day. “But..now..we have to end the problem. The Kithkin are gone but Aziz and the others still think they can come between us.”

“And when you get back here, we can have all the time in the world to visit. I understand..believe me. This is something you must do. I will wait here..and be with you in spirit, my darling.”

“All the time and then some,” Abdel said, nodding to the two.

“Sorry to interrupt, but it is time, love,” Rami said. “Everyone else is gathered in the main hall. We think Aziz might be preparing to go into hiding someplace, and should he escape, we might not find him again.”

“Alright..” Kitten pulled away from her mother. “Lets go..”

“And you..behave without me here.” Leon scooped Felicia up into his arms. “When I get back, We will reunite again and again.” He chuckled, carrying her towards the main hall.

“Leon!” Felicia laughed and hugged him.

“I’m with you.” Calypso whispered. “I think I want to go.”

“As you desire,” Abdel said, smiling. “I would enjoy that very much.”

Rami blinked. The Goddess of Love and Compassion was coming as well? That didn’t seem quite like what he thought of her.

“Are you heading out, or all you going to stand here lolly gagging?” Mekiya asked. “I thought you didn’t want anyone else treating you like property, and if you let him get away, then he most assuredly will return, and others might try as well.”

“We’re going.” Kitten smirked. “You’re just jealous that you don’t have someone to snuggle.”

“Well, he might..She just isn’t here.” Felicia smiled and pulled away. “Go..and hurry back. I will have a very large dinner waiting.”

“I’m just going to help.” Calypso winked. “Can’t have my chosen getting hurt..” She walked way with Kitten. This was her way of saying that she was taking Abdel after this was all done. “Well..come on.”

“Is she serious?” Rami asked. “Just like that, you are now hers?”

Abdel gave Rami ‘that look,’ saying that as Mekiya hadn’t protested or complained, and he certainly wasn’t going to, then, yes, she was serious. “Perhaps it is as it was intended all along. Many things in life start out as something other than what they are meant to be.”

“Has he always been that cryptic?” Leon asked. “I know he was a bit before, but now that I know what he is, just seems a bit more than what I seemed to have noticed.”

“Always.” Kitten nodded. “ Ever since I’ve known him anyways.”

“Come on now.” Calypso clapped her hands. “Shall we all go..’dance’ with this Sultan?” She giggled.

“Indeed, we shall,” Abdel replied.

“Hurry and get that packed, you fools. I do not wish to be here all day waiting on the likes of you. I have other matters to attend to at once.” Aziz shook his head. He hadn’t heard back from Imad, and had learned that they had ‘mysteriously disappeared.’ That didn’t bode to well with him.

“Father..where are we going?” Bruhier nodded to a few of the slave girls. “And what do you think happened to Imad?”

“Sire..” A couple of men came out with the carriage. “Your coach. It is ready.”

Aziz nodded to the footmen. “I think that it is best not to stand and think, but to make good our escape,” he said, turning to Bruhier. “Think, boy! What do you suppose happened! They have disappeared. Only one think is capable of that, and that would imply that they would be after us next. Do you think she would forgive you for trying to take her?”

“No...she wouldn’t.” Kitten appeared before them. “In fact, I think she would be rather angry and upset.” Smiling, she crossed arms over her chest. That cute Harem outfit showed off her figure. “I thought I would come tell you the good news my self. I am married. And..A god presided over my wedding.”

“Is that this Aziz fellow?” Calypso popped in beside Kitten. “He doesn’t look very intellectual.”

“He isn’t..and that is his son..Bruhier.” Kitten glared. “Oops..no horses. How are you leaving now?” Their horses were vanished. “Care to answer that, Rami? My love? Or..maybe you..daddy?”

“Or how about...you..Mekiya?” Calypso smirked. “Or maybe..Abdel..wants to answer that.”

“Oh...crap.” Bruhier backed away.

“So, come after me at last,” Aziz said. “I knew that it would come to this soon, just wasn’t expecting it so soon.”

“It is not soon enough,” Abdel said. “You shall pay for the crimes you have committed.”

“Son, there comes a time when every man must face up to his mistakes,” Aziz said. “Today would be that day for you.” He smiled, pulling out a glass orb and tossing it down at his feet, vanishing in the mist that surrounded him. He disliked leaving his son behind, but better his son than him. Even if he did only buy himself a little time.

“Father!” Bruhier turned, looking at the girls. “I..I was willing to change for you, Kitten. I..Was going to be your prince. You were going to be my princess. I would have had no other.”

“I know..and because I believe you..I’m not here to kill you. But..You will be changing the way this kingdom is run.” Kitten shook her head, sighing. “I am not going to lower my self to your father’s standards by killing you.”

“Which makes her the better person.” Calypso spoke. “But as for your father..Mekiya ..wil not let him travel far.”

The two stood unworried about Aziz’s little disappearing act. They knew Mekiya would not let it last.

“So...soon. It will happen. And your father will go down.” Rami stood behind Kitten now. “And you are lucky that she is not letting me kill you.”

“I...I..”Bruhier backed away. “I am not him.”

“I hope you prove that.” Kitten replied. “If not..I will come after you, personally.”

“And I don’t think you would like that,” Abdel said, glancing at Bruhier. “You might wind up joining your father. Or worse. Perhaps maybe even wind up as a bird in a cage, as you sought to do to Kitten.”

“Now that sounds like a wonderful idea,” Mekiya said, appearing. “I could use a nice, caged bird in the gardens.” He smiled. “And I have something of interest. Seems someone has managed to conjure a teleportation spell. Though, I don’t think it is taking him where he intended it to go.”

“Aw, too bad.” Kitten smiled at everyone. “I think he will behave. And if he doesn’t...Well..”

“We get to cage the bird.” Calypso hmd. “And as the goddess of love, compassion and all of that...I think I will make only ONE girl out there for you. And..oops..I won’t tell where she is.”

“My father will come back if I take control.” Bruhier decided it best not to run.

“Then we will catch him here instead of where ever he is.” Kitten answered.

“Either way...that means YOU have to change.” Rami pulled Kitten against him. “And if you ever think about my Kitten again, in a wrong way, I will not hesitate to kill you.”

“Oh, I don’t think that will be necessary,” Mekiya said. “We are forgiving, after all. Se, we just break every bone in his body. And after he heals, do it again and again.” He smiled at Bruhier. “Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?”

Abdel smiled inside. He knew that Mekiya wouldn’t do that, though as long as he didn’t know otherwise, it would keep the young Prince quite scared.

“I...” Bruhier panted. “I will.”

“Good..now, I have a mother to go home and get to know. And..my husband. Have to work on grand kids for my father.”

“Oh, sounds promising.” Rami picked her up into his arms. “We can take a small rain check on catching Aziz, right?”

“I think he is quite..detained.” Calypso turned and smiled at Abdel. “And I...have a little meeting to attend with my Abdel.”

“I would have to concur with that assessment,” Abdel said. “I do not think we have anything to worry about from him for well, until Mekiya releases his transportation spell.” He held is hand out to Calypso. “Have everything quite in hand.”

“Yes, there are lost times to make up for,” Mekiya said. “Off with you all, you have other things to attend to at the moment.” He waved them off, turning back to Bruhier. “And do not forget, I shall be watching you, always.”

“Mom.” Kitten smiled, coming into the room. “Oh wow..it smells great.”

“Hey. Is it over so soon?” Felicia peeked out. “I have dinner almost done.”

“It smells good.” Rami came in with Leon. “It smells really good.”

“Just because you haven’t had any really home cooking in...um..well a lot of years.” Kitten grinned. “But that will all change.”

“Oh, it will definitely change,” Leon said. “And it tastes as good as it smells; I can assure you of that.” He walked over, wrapping his arms around Felicia and kissing her. “I’ve missed your cooking, among other things.” He glanced around. “Is it just the four of us, or is Abdel and Calypso joining us?”

“I haven’t seen them.” Felicia hmd. “I think they are enjoying each other’s company right now.”

“Who’d have thought. Abdel is with a goddess. Go Abdel.” Kitten chuckled.

“Go Abdel?” Rami blinked.

“Modern day thing, love.” Kitten hugged him. “You will understand.”

“Well, I don’t know much about Goddess and Jin relationships, but I think that they make quite the couple, considering. The Goddess of love and compassion, a Jin that’s never known love… who would have thought that it would happen like that? Though, as Abdel said, things always happen as they were meant to be. And speaking of meant to be, isn’t it about time to eat? I’m famished.”

“Lets eat.” Felicia smiled. “First one in doesn’t have to set the table. And NO magic to help if you lose.”

“Oh, um..Me!” Kitten moved past her father and Rami. “I’m first!”

Maybe, just maybe things were going to be okay. Rami had a family again and Kitten had found what she always wanted. She found real love. Leon? He found his wife again.
