Chapter 11
Jasper quickly grabbed hold of Lersson. The two Knights of HammerFall had their backs tightly pressed to the cold stone wall. He heard the guards patrol passed them.
Stormblade knew that they were aware of their arrival; since they had to kill the guards at the gate and gate towers in order to enter into Xasthur. That had been no easy task.
The silver haired warrior remained calm and stoic as he watched to make sure the patrol had moved on before making his way back out into the open. He only moved once he was sure that the way was clear.
Johan followed closely behind him. He was starting to understand from his own emotions that it was possible that the young warrior had feelings for him. It explained so much to Jasper that he didn't understand before about Johan's actions towards him.
He pushed those thoughts aside for now. He had to concentrate
on reaching the King before they were captured. He had to meet with the king alone and discuss the threat that threatened all the Western Kingdoms.
The silver haired warrior abruptly came to an halt as the figure darted out of the corner of the castle corridor. Deep blue eyes locked with each other. A smirk appeared on the long haired warrior's face.
"So you are the insects from HammerFall. I have been expecting you since Lauriporra's initial failure with the Wizard." The blonde warrior told the two of them.
Johan rashly charged forward with blade ready to strike down the golden haired warrior, "So you're the bastard that's behind all this!"
Jasper groaned mentally to himself. Johan's blade was easily defended by the golden haired warrior; long hair flowed behind him as he easily evaded the attack.
Johan landed hard on his face from having far to much momentum in his attack. The blade pressed against the throat of the novice warrior. The blade of the warrior had nicked the throat under the youth's chin.
"I was ordered to bring you to the King. But if you resist I suppose I have no other choice except to slaughter you." The more skilled warrior spoke.
Johan spat out as Jasper remained calmly holding onto the hilt of his sword, "As your prisoners no doubt! We won't surrender to a bastard like you!"
The blade cut a little deeper drawing more blood to trickle from the youth's neck; which silenced Johan.
Jasper inquired trying not to concern himself with anything but getting the chance to speak with the King, "Who are you, and how do we know you are not lying?"
He withdrew his well forged blade from under the chin of Johan. His golden headed bowed ever so slightly as he introduced himself, "I am Captain Kotipelli, one of the commanders of the army of Stratsovara. Is that enough weight for you, young Stormblade?"
"How do you know my name?" Jasper asked easily hiding his shock and still keeping the calm to his face.
Once more that smirk came to the lips of Kotipelli. Jasper was beginning to detest that smirk of the long haired warrior.
