Into the Elder's chamber
As Veleska neared the room where Silvan and Serenity waited, she paused. Her brow raised and she cupped her hand behind her pointed ear. Was that the sound of giggles? It was. She stepped closer and heard more of the cute giggles. That was Serenity’s voice but what was making her do this?
“Silvan!”
Serenity chuckled and leaned up into the sweet kisses at her neck. Silvan only grinned and continued to nibble at the delicate skin. The two were petting each other some what heavily by now.
“Complaints my sweet?” Silvan pulled his lips just inches away from the sensitive nape of her neck. “I can stop.” He didn’t want to but he would.
“Better not stop. I’ll have to tickle you if you do.”
Serenity smirked. She leaned forward and pressed her neck closer to where she felt his breaths. She didn’t seem to mind her eyes being blinded by pain right now. Of course this was no ordinary distraction either and plus as long as she kept her eyes closed they did not hurt. Silvan’s torn shirt piece helped her out on that part a lot.
“As you wish.”
Silvan pressed his lips to her neck again and suckled there very gently. His right hand trailed up along her thigh and over her side to caress and feel her smooth curves. He was not aware of the silver eyes that watched behind him. Serenity was a bit distracted her self to notice or hear the priestess enter the room either. Veleska shook her head as she watched for a few moments longer. As entertaining as this was she really needed the two to join Sarai and the elder sisters now.
“Sire.”
She spoke up. Veleska stepped back just an inch or so. Silvan froze right then and there. Serenity gasped and her entire body flushed with red. They had been caught. Silvan pulled him self away from over the top of Serenity and very casually smoothed his clothing as he stood. He prided him self on being a very calm, cool and collective sort.
“Ah Veleska. I was wondering when you would return.” His voice verged on the hint of a squeak right now. He knew the priestess had saw more than he wanted so he tried to change the subject quickly.” Are the elder sisters ready to see us?”
Serenity remained silent. This was a rather hard situation to be caught in between. Veleska could See just how hard it was to. She ahemd and motioned with her head very deftly towards the tenting crotch area of her prince’s pants. Silvan blinked at first but quickly caught the meaning and stepped away to adjust him self.
“Uhh..yes. Well I assume they are ready to see us so why don’t you wait outside the room and I shall be out in a moment with Serenity.” Silvan peeked over his shoulder. “Alright?” This was hardly a request. She knew it too.
“Very well your highness.”
Veleska gave him a knowing smirk. She turned and made a very quick exit. Silvan sighed and he could not help but t chuckle. Serenity looked up when she herd this. The blind fold kept her from even attempting to open her eyes and see what was happening.
“What is it?”
“Tis nothing my love. It was just a humorous thought about the naughty thing you can convince me to do.” He walked over and pulled Serenity to her feet. “Not to mention the fact that a priestess caught us in such acts together. I am not complaining though. It is simply funny to think of that she did catch us.”
“Hey I didn’t make the first move. You did. SO you did the convincing.” Serenity chuckled. “But is it funny. I guess we were being a little naughty.”
“Aye but she is waiting for us.” He held her hand and kissed it lovingly. “I shall lead you my love.”
“You can guide me anywhere.”
Silvan smiled. Her complete trust in him made him want to re-embrace her in that naughty little kiss all over again. Serenity followed him through the door. Her world was completely dark right now. She had to depend on him. Veleska glanced at the two as they approached and nodded.
“Your eyes hurt you lady Serenity?” Veleska inquired.
“Yes. I can’t see. When I try and open them I only see fuzz and they hurt. It feels like hot coals are burning against them.”
Silvan cringed inwardly. He could not imagine what such a pain would feel like. Veleska hmmd and nodded. This sounded like what she had suspected all a long.
“I believe the elder sisters will be able to explain everything to you. Your mother has had a very long discussion with them already and now they are awaiting both of you. It is time to reveal what we can only speculate is happening.”
“Speculate?” Silvan voiced his concern quickly. “You do not know for sure what is happening?”
“It’s a bit more complicated than that your highness.” Veleska lead them down the same hall and corridor that she had taken Sarai. “We are fairly sure this IS what is happening but we are not all knowing. The truth of the matter is, unless you are an all seeing god or goddess, that none can know exactly what is going on. That is, I am afraid, the fact of this situation.”
“I see.” Silvan let a grunt of slight dis-approval out. “If that is all you can offer than it will have to do.”
“Silvan.” Serenity squeezed his tensed hand a little. “A speculation is better than nothing. They are probably right but don’t wish to say That this is definitely what is happening. You trusted them before. There is no need t not trust them now.”
Veleska stayed silent and listened to the two talk. Serenity was a calming piece to Silvan’s puzzle despite her own worries about her self. She would make a very good queen if the prince decided to marry her. She was sure he would but it was not polite or proper to assume such things.
“Here we are.” Veleska had brought them down through the great hall and past the statue of the past king. She smiled and started to push open the doors. “Just remember to let your self be open to them. They can help you if you let them in.”
“Alright Veleska.” Silvan nodded to her. ”Thank you for all your help so far. I am certain that thing would have gotten the better of us had it been allowed to stay.”
“It was my duty and my pleasure highness. I shall be waiting outside for you.”
Veleska closed the doors behind them as Silvan lead Serenity in. She sighed to her self though. Just seeing Silvan like that with Serenity had spurred a momentary spark of a thought in her head. She never had anyone like that to feel so close to. Being a priestess was fulfilling enough but than there were thins liked that which made her mind wonder at the possibilities. It made her spirit vulnerable to the outside world. That was a dangerous thing too. A priestess’s power lie in her strength of spirit and heart. If she doubted her self or her convictions than she weakened her defenses.
“No. I will not falter.”
Veleska stepped away from the door and took a deep breath. She could not let her self fall like that. Her eyes sought the comfort of a familiar statue. The goddess Serenity was knelt down in prayer to the heavens above. Yes, she could find her strength here. She could rekindle her heart in the goddess’s light.
“I can not fail.” Veleska knelt down before the statue and bowed her head. “I need your guidance. If fate has chosen me to help them I need to be strong. I know the consequences if I stumble in my path. I also know the reward of serving you and your whims. Have you let me think this way? Is this truly the legend unfolding?”
The statues face remained serene and peaceful. The always closed eyes of the six winged goddess looked down upon her sisters. They were closed to indicate that she did not need to see to really See them. That was what Veleska was told. She always suspected it might be something more however.
“You will show us the way my goddess.” Veleska whispered. “I will not crumble to pieces. I will stand strong against the changing winds of time, what ever path that may lead me to. I am your loyal servant now and for always.” She tried to calm her mind, but This waiting! It was insufferable! Veleska looked up from her prayers to the doors. She knew what was being said but gods it was taking forever. She panted and looked to the statue.
“I need air.”
She stumbled to her feet. She could feel the walls closing in on her. Veleska couldn’t explain what happening to her right now. She moved swiftly away from the statues protective watch and towards the temple doors. Air! Yes, that was all she needed. Some fresh air would do her some good.
‘No!’ Her heart screamed for her to stop. It bid her stay inside the walls of sanctuary.’Yes! Air! Go!’ Her mind pushed her gut feelings away. Veleska gasped for breath as she pushed the temple doors open. She breathed slowly and heavily.
“Just a little walk.” She whispered. “I won’t stray from the temple grounds.”
‘No!, no! You fool!’ Her heart pounded. Her spirit was fighting an unknown force that invaded her mind. ‘Yes! Yesss go!’ Her feet stumbled. Veleska couldn’t stop the confrontation with in her self. She ran as fast as she could. She had to think! She needed more space.
“Stop! Please stop!”
She unknowingly left the temple grounds. Her feet carried her to the top of a small hill that over looked the Corinthian village. When her thoughts started to settle she sighed and slumped to the ground. What was happening to her?
“What?”
Veleska felt a cold start to creep around her. It made her skin tingle. It made her mind race. She gasped. Two Eyes of Jade faced her. The surrounding shadow engulfed her body into its self. Veleska tried to scream but it was too late. She was a victim of the shadow. Her moment of weakness let his mental abilities in and convince her to come outside the protection of the temple walls.
