Hoping for Changes
ch.11
“I’m going to kill you!” A soldier shouted as he was being held back by a handful of his comrades, keeping him from attacking the man half his size that was egging him on.
Lei just gave him a mocking smirk, “You kill me? I want to see you try. You might be bigger than me but in reality you’re nothing but a big bitch.” He himself was being held by Sare and another handful of soldiers that were having their own trouble containing the small black-haired beauty from jumping the solider he was insulting. Lei and Sare have only been at the camp one night. At first everyone was intrigued by the men that their prince and general brought back with them. They all knew they were special and that sparked their curiosity even more. Most of the men have never seen such beauty before, not even in a woman. Sare and Lei were so beautiful and intriguing that the soldiers wanted to admire them and get close to them. However, as much as they wanted to get near and admire Lei in the beginning, by morning, those feelings quickly shifted into wanting to break that pretty little neck of his. “Lei! Please!” Sare exclaimed holding onto Lei tightly. “Stop this! Please stop fighting!”Aiden and Mason emerged from the tent they had been having a private meeting, “What the hell is going on here?” the prince asked himself out loud at the scene before him.
Lei stopped struggling against those that were holding him, but he didn’t stay quiet, “Did you think I was soft and sweet you idiot? Do yourself a favor and keep your worthless self from my sight…or is that too complicated for your fat filled head to comprehend?” Those words just made the soldier try harder in his attempt to attack Lei.“That slave is just too much trouble. I say you just let Renalds jump him.” Mason said to Aiden as they approached the group.
“Everyone, stop this!”Aiden’s voice roared. The whole commotion stopped as soon as the soldiers saw their prince. Renalds, the insulted soldier, stopped his attempts to get to Lei but he was still very visibly furious. “Your highness, I apologize to tell you this but your guest is completely out of line!” “As if he is going to do anything about it.” Lei rolled his eyes, not caring at all that Aiden was before them. Lei’s disrespect just infuriated the soldiers more but they were prevented from doing anything about it at the moment. When he felt the people that were holding him loosen their grips, Lei shoved them away and he went to the tent that was provided for him and Sare. Sare looked at Aiden, hoping that Lei’s actions were not going to get his friend into any trouble, “I am so sorry.” Aiden couldn’t help but smile every time he came across Sare , no matter the whatever situation. “It is alright…he is just taking a while to adjust.” Sare smiled back at Aiden, relieved that there wasn’t going to be punishments towards Lei because of his behavior. The blond then turned to Renalds and looked at him with pleading eyes. “I am so sorry that Lei insulted you the way he did. Please don’t hold this against him.” The soldier just looked down at Sare still fuming over what had just occurred before sighing, “Just try to keep him in line.” He couldn’t lash out at Sare. Sare smiled at him and bowed in a grateful gesture. “Your friend can’t be insulting my men blondie,” Mason spoke up. He wasn’t as tolerant about this whole situation as the rest of the soldiers were. Of course they did not want to offend their prince since Sare and Lei were his guests, Mason understood that, but he was not going to allow such disrespect. “Next time, he deals with me if he doesn’t keep himself in check.” He warned before walking away.Sare looked down at the ground nervously. He really, REALLY hoped that Lei and Mason never crossed paths like this. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up at Aiden, “It’s going to be alright. We will just try our best to keep them away from each other.” The prince smiled knowing very well what was worrying Sare. It worried him too. Lei and Mason’s personalities are such that they should never interact with each other.
