Chapter Eleven

“Your highness just as you expected they came after Consort Jamie.”

Sebastian stood up and step down from his throne, “did you find out who the person that inform them of Jamie plan for this afternoon is?” Sebastian demanded to know his voice calm and cold. Showing no sign of panic even after hearing that Jamie had been taken.

The general came up and whispered the name of the person caught giving the information about Jamie plan. Sebastian show no emotion on his face after hearing the name of the person that betray him.

“Captured him right away and locked him up in the lowered dungeon cell, I will punish him later.”

The general nod his head and left, Nicholas entered the room right away. Sebastian picked up his sword and commanded his wolf to join him.

“You know where Jamie and Eli is?” Nicholas asked.

“No but my wolf do,” Sebastian answered as he stepped out of the throne room. Sebastian wolf pick up the secret scent that Jamie left behind right away. They were following the scent when Conor leapt down from the roof and landed right in front of Sebastian and Nicholas. Nicholas immediately draw out his sword and pointed it at the man.

“If you killed me you won't find them in time.”

“Nicholas put your sword away,” Sebastian commanded.

Nicholas reluctantly put away his sword. Then he flashed Conor a mean glared.

“I take it that you learned about Eli being taken Conor!”

Conor nod his head, “I wouldn't helped you in a million years Sebastian but I will helped Eli, if what I learned today is truth then Eli will be kill and I can't have that.”

“I don't care for your reason Conor, just take me to them!”

“Follow me.”

“Daddy were scared.”

Jamie put his arms around his two stepson and whispered to them that everything well be alright.

Eli watched the three with a smiled, “Jamie why aren't you scared?” he asked.

Jamie looked up at Eli before answering, “I'm not scared for the same reason your not Eli.”

Eli chuckled, “you want to place a bet on how long the king will be here to rescue us,” they were trying to make lit of the situation they were in.

Jamie laughed, “oh Eli.”

“You guy really are too relaxed.” a voice commented from the now opened door.

Eli and Jamie turned around and saw a man that looked no more older then Eli. The man step into the room and walked toward them, the closer the man got the bigger Eli eyes got, when the man stopped right in front of them. Eli gasped out “Ran.”

Ran gave Eli a cold smiled, “you remember me Eli?”

“How can I forget you, after all you are Conor beloved prince.”

“Its good for you to know that Conor is mine Eli.”

Eli crossed his arms in front of him, “what do you want with Jamie?”

“Don't worry I have no plan to kill him, I am only going to have him taken to Ander. But you on the other hand I will kill, having you alive is an eyesore.”

Jamie inches closer to Eli and whispered softly beside Eli ears, “who's he? Why does he want you dead? And who's Ander?”

Eli didn't get a chance to respond as a man came flying into the room with a arrow lounge in the middle of his forehead, dead right on the spot. Jamie instantly turned his stepsons away from the sight. Eli immediately put himself in front of Jamie.

Ran gasped and subconsciously took a step back, his arrogant attitude from a moment ago vanished the moment he saw Sebastian entered the room with a sword rested next to Conor throat. Nicolas came up from behind his king and place his own sword next to Conor throat. Sebastian hand his sword to Jefferey standing next to him. He walked into the room and walked right pass Ran going straight to Jamie and Eli, plus his two son.

“Your highness you sure took your time getting to us,” Jamie commented.

Sebastian smiled, he pulled Jamie in for a hugged and then bent down to do the same for his two sons. He stood up and turned to Eli, “Eli I'm glad that you are safe.” then he wrapped his arms around Eli and hugged him tight.

“Conor.” Ran uttered.

Conor gave Ran a weak smiled, “sorry my beloved but it looks like they caught me.”

Sebastian turned to Ran, “your father will hear about this, guard take him away.”

Ran spun around to face Sebastian his face show how furious he is, “you can't do anything to me and Conor, we did nothing wrong you have no proved then words from my men, my father will never believed their word over mind nor will he believed yours.” Rant Ran as he was dragged away.

Eli looked up and caught Conor watching him, he turned away just as Nicholas shoved Conor out of the room and take him to the cell. Sebastian looked at Eli, “you could see him later if you want.”

Eli shook his head, “no there is no need for me to see that man I'm through with him long time ago.” then he walked out of the room leaving Jamie alone with the king and his two son.

Nicholas shoved Conor into the cell and locked it. “Don't think for a moment that I will let you off just because you decided to help the king locate his consort and Eli.” Spat Nicholas. Then he left.

Conor leaned against the cold wall, he shut his eyes and imaged of Sebastian hugging his Eli came rushing to him, his hand curled into a tight fist, until his fingernail cut deep into his skin, blood flow out and trail down his fist to the dirty floor, but he pay it no attention, his mind kept replaying the scene he just witness, he only agreed to come out and get caught because he had learned that Eli had been taken with Sebastian new consort. “Eli,” he whispered softly into the air.

After putting the two kids to sleep, Jamie quietly closed the door to their chamber. He turned and smiled at the two guard at the door before heading to his room. A guard that Sebastian order to accompany him quickly followed behind.

Jamie entered his room and closed the door behind him he smiled at Sebastian sitting on the comfy chairs by the fire place waiting for him,”Your highness.” he said.

“Jamie, I wanted to apologize for using you as baits to catch the person behind all these incident.”

“Its alright your highness, I heard everything from the king of Aislin. But how did you know that they will come after me once more?”

Sebastian pulled Jamie down to sit on his laps before answering. “It was too much of a coincidence that you started getting hurt every time you were alone and then that whole incident outside that day got me thinking that someone in my castle inform them of what goes on around here.

“That's why you gave me the fragrant bag?”

Sebastian nod his head, and once again he apologize to Jamie, “I'm really sorry for putting you in danger Jamie. ”

“Your highness there is no need for you to keep apologizing to me, I understand why you did it. But I do think that you owed your two son an explanation, they were scare out of their wits when we were taken.”

“I will make sure to do so.” say Sebastian.

“Your highness did you caught the person that betray you?”

Sebastian nod his head, “I did and I had that person punished for betraying me even though it sadden me to do so.”

Jamie could tell from the king voice that who ever betray him was someone closed to him, he wonder who it could be. As he was thinking this the king begin to place soft gently kisses along his throat distracting him from his thought. A soft moan escaped from his lips. He felt the king slid his hand down to between his thigh, he quickly pushed it away and stood up. “Your highness I haven't bath yet.”

Sebastian stood up and lifted Jamie into his arms, “we shall bath together.” Sebastian then carry Jamie to the bathroom.

Caelane sat down under the big oak tree and gazed up at the night sky, a firefly flew right pass his face his hand went up and caught it, trapping it in his hand. Slowly he unfold his hand and the firefly flutter away up into the sky toward the bright stars.

“Caelane I thought that you would be here,” Devin said as he walked toward his friend.

“I don't know how you know Devin.”

Devin laughed and sat down beside Caelane, “so did your father tell you the real reason your dad left you?”

Caelane nod his head, “my father did and he even went out of his way to explain even the smallest detail just in case I don't understand.”

Devin looked at Caelane, “how did you take it?"

Caelane turned to face his handsome friend, “amazingly pretty well then I thought, even my father was amazed that I wasn't crying and shouting out that he lie or made every thing up. Considering how I am known as a daddy boy.”

“You're mature a bit now Caelane and I am proud of you.”

“I'm not mature, just that I remembered something that my guardian angel say to me the day I found out my dad left me.”

“What did the King consort say to you back then?”

“My guardian angel say that I am lucky, even if my dad left me I still have my father who is alive and well and love me with all his heart. Unlike him when his dad left him he had no one that love him not even his father. He told me to cherished what I have in front of me now then to dwell on something that can't be changed.”

Devin put his arms around Caelane shoulder and pulled him up against him, Caelane cuddle up closer to Devin warmth, “lets thank Jamie tomorrow before we leave.”

Caelane nod his head in agreement. The two of them fell asleep watching the stars together.

Leon and Theron found the boy the next morning sleeping under the big oak tree, Caelane was sleeping on the green grass with his head rested on Devin lap. From where they were standing Theron and Leon can't help but think that the two boys look like a pair of lovers. They walked over to the boys and try to wake them up.

“Wake up you two you need to get ready to leave.” Leon said as he shakes the two awakes.

Devin was the first to opened his eyes, he rubbed the sleep off his eyes and smiled at Theron, “good morning.” he uttered with a yawn. Then he tried to get up but something heavy on his lap stopped him. Devin looked down and laughed, opps he forgot that Caelane was sleeping on his laps.

“Devin can you wake him up?” Leon asked the boy.

Devin nod his head and gently shook Caelane awake, “wake up Caelane its time for us to leave.”

Caelane slowly opened his eyes, he sat up and rubbed the sleep off his eyes before stretching his arms and leg. When done he turned and gave his father a morning kissed like every morning. Then he turned to Devin, "good morning Devin." He said with a big sunny smiled.

Leon clapped his hand together, “Alright you two get up and get to your room, make sure to take a nice long bath first before you started packing your bag,” Leon commanded gently to the two. The two boys quickly stood up and ran to their room.

“Leon aren't you getting ready to leave yourself?”

“I had already pack my bags last night, I will leave as soon as I see my son leave safely,” answer Leon.

“How about you Theron, are you ready to leave?”

Theron smiled at the man, “I was ready to leave the day I was told that I will marry you.”

Leon didn't know what to say, so he chose to remain silent. Lucky for him Theron understood him.

“How about you help me pack my bag?” Theron suggested.

Leon nod his head, “I would be more then happy too.” then the two of them went off to Theron chamber to pack Theron clothes.

Jamie woke up next to the king still naked from last night the king lay still beside him, With his arms around his waist. He gazed at the king sleeping face, suddenly a strange feeling of dejavu came over him, this is strange this is the first time that he seen the king sleeping face but why does he gets the feeling that he had seen the king sleeping face before.

Sebastian woke up and his eyes met Jamie,who eyes was gazing at his face. He smiled at the boy, “you should have woken me up if you are awake Jamie,” Sebastian said with a smiled.

“If I woke you up then I wouldn't get to looked at your sleeping face your highness,” Jamie admitted.

Sebastian pulled the boy up against him, “that's the second time I heard you say that, if you really want to watch me sleep I would be more then happy to let you to.”

“Your highness when did I say that?”

“When we met ten years ago.” reply Sebastian, not giving the boy anymore hint then that.

Jamie sighed out, “you are really making it difficult for me to remembered your highness, can't you just give me a bit more hint then, just that I met you ten years ago.” complain Jamie.

Sebastian chuckled, “just like I said before boy you need to remember it yourself, its not that you can't remember, if you try hard enough they will come back to you in no time.” he reassured the boy. Then he rolled on top of the boy and captured the boy lips with his mouth.

Nicholas pulled his brother in for a long hugged, “I wished that I could go with you.” he whispered beside his brother ears.

Devin pried his brother away, “I will be find Nicholas, I promised you that.”

“I trust that you remember how to defend yourself from those that wish you harms?” Ask Nicholas.

"Yes I remember," Devin said.

"Alright--- oh I almost forgot, here these are for you and Caelane put them on before you enter Sythia.”

Devin take the pendent necklace and walked over to Caelane, Caelane was saying his good-by to his father and he was waiting for Jamie, his guardian angel to come see him off.

Leon gave his son three small pouch and told him to used it when he find himself in troubled. Caelane thank his father for it and said that he will only used it in an emergency. Devin came up from behind and put the pendent on for Caelane it rested nicely against his chest. Caelane looked up and thank Devin.

“Caelane” Jamie called as he came around the corner and make his way toward the boy.

Caelane was so happy to see his guardian angel came to see him off, he completely forgot all about his father and Devin, he ran over to Jamie and throw his arms around his guardian angel and hugged him tight.

Jamie returned the boy hugged,” promise me that you will returned safe and sound and when you do I will tell you a big secret.”

Caelane pulled away and looked up at his guardian angel, "can't you just tell me now?”

Jamie let out a soft laugh, “no I can't are else you won't try your best to get better and returned to me and your father.” then he pulled out a silver wing bracelet and put it around Caelane wrist. “This is my most precious item, it belong to my father, it was his most treasured item he cherished it with all his heart and when he pass away this was the only thing that kept me going. I want you to have it.”

Caelane gave Jamie a big bright smiled, “I promise that I will cherished it forever.”

Nicholas was standing behind the two waiting to interrupt the two, when he saw Jamie pull out the bracelet and put it around Caelane wrist. He recognized it right away as the bracelet he gave to Jeffery as a token of his love for the man back then, he thought that the man would have thrown it away, never had he thought that the man would hang on to it. Nicholas quickly clear his mind and pushed his thought aside.

“Caelane its time to leave, Devin is waiting.”

Caelane gave his guardian angel one last hugged then ran off to his horse. Devin pulled Caelane up and seated him in front of him on the horse. There where only one horse that could fly them to Sythia, leaving Caelane and Devin no other choice then to shared one horse together, the two didn't mind it one bit.

Jamie watched as the horse flew up in the air and carry his half-brother away, he put his hand together and pray that the two boy will be safe.

Mean while in the throne room, Sebastian sat on his throne and listen to Lawrence report.

“Your highness, just as you had guessed they had tried to get the Nary king to turned against you, but was unsuccessful as the Nary king is as stubborn as you when it come to breaking the promise our ancestor made. Plus he had no interest in involving his country in our conflict. He said so himself."

Sebastian just nod his head, "what about the favored my brother Theron asked of me, I do hope that you got an answered for me regarding that matter."

“Yes your highness, the Nary king had agree to bring the boy with him to the country of Siren, for his father wedding.”

Nicholas entered the throne room and bow to his king, “sorry for the interruption your highness but Alan father is here.” he reported.

“Sent him in and Nicholas find Demetrius and have him brought Alan here.”

“Yes your highness I will see to it right away,” Nicholas bow and then left to do as he was ordered to.

"Lawrence about that secret mission I gave you, I want you to report to me twice a day instead of once a week. Do you understood?”

“Yes your highness.”

“Your dismissed.”

Lawrence bow and left.

Half an hour later, Alan and his father stood before Sebastian with Demetrius and Nicholas on each side.

Alan father bow to the king before speaking up, "Your highness my son Alan is not who you think he is, he had never taken one stepped out of the shadow forest, until four days ago. But I think I know who the person you had mistaken him for is.”

Alan turned to looked at his father, "father you know who this Arian guy is?”

"I think I do," his father replied.

“Would you mind explaining what you mean?” Sebastian asked the old man.

“If my guess is right Arian is Alan older twin brother my husband took him with him when we separated.”

“Where does your ex-husband reside after he left you?” ask Sebastian

“He reside in the country of Siren with his second husband, the last I heard of them was that they had pass away and that Alan older brother had disappeared.”

Demetrius, Nicholas could not believed what they were hearing, but the one that was shocked by all of this was none other then Alan, his feeling was in chaos. His father didn't even dare to looked him in the eyes as he was telling the king all of this.

Alan both hand went to cover his ears he refused to listen farther, he took a step back, tears filled his eyes, all this time he was led to believed that he was an only child and that his dad had pass away. They were all lies, lies that his father made up. With tears streaming down the side of his face Alan fled the throne room.

“Demetrius you are responsible for Alan, go after him!”

Demetrius bow to his king and left to do as he was commanded.

Jamie wiped the dirt off his two stepson hands with a frown on his face. Then he gave them a long lectured about playing in the dirt. He looked up from his tasked and saw a man that looked like his dad ran out into the court yard, a moment later he saw Demetrius came running after the man. He wonder what was going on?
