Past and Present Love
"Get off me!" The words cut through the barren room, stirring the dust from it's fifty year slumber as it collected and gathered thickly onto the desks. On the very dusty bed, Ren found himself squirming, little else to do as his hands were bound above his head in an iron-shackle grip that the sun god before him had gripped him with. With his free hand, Phoenix trailed it under Ren's shirt, exploring every hollow of Ren's supple body, the other Seer reduced to little more than whimpering under his gentle touch.
"You said you'd come back to me. I've waited all these years." Phoenix cooed, nibbling on the lobe of Ren's ear. "I'll make you feel good, and welcome. I've really missed you." Enjoying the soft whimpers his actions were earning, Phoenix settled himself between Ren's legs, littering the paler boys neck with bites and kisses.
"Stop...please..." Ren felt himself becoming shamefully aroused under his assault.
"No, I won't stop. What's the name you go by now? I want to able to call it out in orgasm."
Saying nothing, Ren did all he could to stop from being aroused. His shirt was torn from his body, the gentle bite of the cold room teething his skin, warmed by the slick heat of the tanned god's tongue. "Stop...please stop."
"But you're so aroused!" He almost seemed innocent in his pout, his free hand gripping Ren's erection through his pants and applying pressure. "Feels good doesn't it? I can't wait too fill you inside me, it's been over fifty years, and your body is different, but I know it's still you, I saved myself all this time."
Ren would've laughed in any other situation. Fifty years without sex may have driven him to commit rape too. Still, as he felt his pants being pulled away, he put his legs to use, kicking and thrashing to escape. "Stop, stop, stop!" He growled as he felt his exposed erection being gripped, but what threatened him more was the feel of Phoenix's teeth hovering over Kyrios' bite. "Stop! Stop! I said, stop!" Phoenix's fangs were beginning to cover the bite, when Ren felt a deep heat gather in his chest, and release, a powerful shock wave left in it's wake that sent the ivory-haired man to the floor, collapsing into a cloud of dust.
"W-Why!?" Ren scrambled to his feet as Phoenix lay stunned. "Why are you rejecting me!?"
Ren darted for the door, no idea where he was, or where he was going, but he figured getting out of the room and away from Phoenix was the best option. He found his pathway all to quickly blocked by Phoenix's limber figure, and his hand smearing across his face as he was sent hurdling to the ground.
As he fell, Ren caught himself on his arms, rubbing his newly bruised cheek in his hands. His crimson eyes narrowed, tailing up to the taller man who's own ruby orbs were welling with tears. "I-I didn't mean to hit you. I'm sorry. But, I have to make you understand. You and I...we belong together."
"No!" Ren's hands gripped the mark on his neck. "I belong with Kyrios! The one I came here to protect! I love him, and he loves me!"
"No! No! No!" Phoenix's original calm collective was shattering into shards of rage and insanity that slashed at Ren's skin. "You and I love each other. You told me all those years ago that you loved me! You said you'd come back. It took you over fifty years to reincarnate, but I was fine with waiting! I waited for you, watched you from a distance for you to enter your Immortal Stage. And now, now you'll remember me, if you and I are together!" He knelt down, placing a soothing hand on Ren's cheek. "Just give it time, you'll remember, and then we can be happy together."
"That's not how-" Ren silenced himself, seeing Phoenix's recollected eyes quickly glazing back over with anger when he began to speak.
"I'll-I'll be fair. I'll wait for you too recover your memory before we have sex again. I can wait. I'll make you so happy, you'll see!" Phoenix smiled, placing a quick kiss on Ren's cheek before escaping the room. An audible click let Ren know that he was locked in, and not going anywhere.
With a sigh, and still nursing his cheek, Ren stripped the dusty covers from the bed, pleased to see that the sheets had been relatively untouched by the years of un-use. He lay down, his thoughts filled with Kyrios, and his past life. He felt like he had begun to remember something recently, bits and pieces that slowly filled his memory in deja-vu like flashes. One of which was his name in his past life. He felt like he could almost remember it, on the tip of his tongue, yet clinging to it desperately.
Something with an M, that's all he could really remember.
Kyrios loaded his magnum with a fresh cartridge, setting several on the loops of his belt for back up. He'd polished the silver weapon to make it shine in the light, something he'd found to be quite intimidating to lesser demons.
"Why are you getting ready?" Jun emerged from the inner deck of the ferry. "We don't even know where to look." Jun's clothing was slightly ragged and his hair was everything short of messy. Kyrios would have teased the other hunter about the very likely chance he and the boss had just had comfort sex, but he decided to leave it for another day. Another day when Ren could join him in laughing.
"I know where he is."
"What!? How?"
His azure eyes stained with crimson. "Dunno. Just do." A faint tugging was trying to pull him to Ren, he could just follow the tug and he'd find him, he was sure of it. "So, how's the boss?"
"He's still rattled." Jun took a seat next to Kyrios, patting the broad shouldered hunter on the back. "But, it's better that he found out only twenty percent of our forces were at headquarters at the time. Dunno if that's good or bad though. If they'd all been there..."
"Then those demons wouldn't have had a chance." Kyrios seethed further.
Staring up at the moon, Jun let a soft sigh escape his lips. "So, um...tell me about Ren." Their eyes met. "Y'know. Like what's he like? How'd he get the great player, Kyrios to finally tie the knot, so to speak."
Too the question, Kyrios didn't have a definite answer. "Well...I was just kind of drawn to him at first. He was cute. He has a smartass mouth, but I loved that. Plus, it's always fun to shut that smartass mouth up with a hard fuckin'. He's considerate, and extremely delicate...but...none of that was what really drew me too him. I dunno. It's weird, I never really thought about it."
A soft laughter spilled from the others throat, forcing a growl from Kyrios'. "Relax, big guy. I'm not laughing at you. Just laughing at how cute you are confused."
A soft alarm rang in Kyrios' head at the word cute. "Jun...are you...?"
"No! No offense big guy, but you're not my type. You're sexy as hell, but Ren must be a saint to put up with you. The demon in me is what liked you, and it's gone now." A soft blush crept along his features. "To be honest, I kinda think Ren's cute..." Crimson eyes narrowing into a glare elicited more laughter from Jun. "I love teasing you! Anyways, I wanna help get him back. Even if you don't trust me..."
Kyrios extended his hand to Jun, who took it in a firm shake. "I trust you. And...thanks..."
Wrapped in the warm blanket that Phoenix had so courteously provided, Ren found himself disturbingly entranced by the man's white-haired beauty, psychotic tendencies or not. He continually denied it, but Ren found himself having brief flashes of the tanned Seer beneath him, squirming, begging, Ren's teeth buried into his neck. Phoenix would reminisce on old times from behind the door, telling Ren of all the things that "he" would do to him to make him scream.
The stories, the images, were disturbingly arousing.
"Kyrios, Kyrios, Kyrios..." He continued his mantra. He wasn't attracted to Phoenix, rather attracted to Phoenix on anything other than a physical level. No more so than when one ogles a handsome man across the bar, but doesn't approach. His heart was with Kyrios, but the heart of the Seer his body currently inhabited had belonged to Phoenix, and it was trying to remind him just how obedient and gorgeous Phoenix was.
The door opened again, Phoenix entering with a bag of fast food, Ren pondering where Phoenix had gone to get burgers. "I brought you something to eat..."
"Great, we can have a pic-nic and you can let me the hell out of here!" He was no longer in any mood to humor the red-eyed beauty, despite how adorably cute he looked as he crept into the room, timid as a small child.
"Please...Ren..."
"Shut up! Stop talking to me like we're a couple that's going through a rough patch!" He found his anger spur into a violent tempest, though he wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was the fact that Phoenix was starting to affect him, and he wanted to get away. "Do you have any idea how many people you killed just to get me!? All those people...!!!" He let a growl escape his lips as he watched Phoenix retreat, the stronger man seeming to be on the verge of tears. Ren wouldn't relent, maybe if he could piss Phoenix off enough, he'd give up and let him go.
Or kill him, either way, Ren would be satisfied in getting away.
"Ren...Ren...I...I'm sorry that happened but..."
"You're sorry!? Fuck you! You didn't break a fucking glass, you killed people. Understand!? Killed! People!" Just a little more, just a little more to break the white haired Seer. "I don't love you Phoenix, and I never will. Let's get one thing straight. I hate you!"
He regretted the words. Phoenix's seemingly bipolar behavior rebounded, intense sadness becoming a moment of unbridled fury. The bag of burgers was tossed across the room, and Ren pinned to the bed, the sheet he wore torn from his body. "I've been trying...to be so nice to you!" His nimble fingers clasped brown roots, yanking Ren's head aside and exposing the expanse of pale neck. "But no more, your past life always did like it forceful. You're mine...mine!"
"No, no!" Ren squirmed, but it was a futile struggle as Phoenix's teeth sank into his neck, covering the mark Kyrios put on his neck. "Stop, please stop!" It was so different from Kyrios' marking, he didn't feel hot, he didn't feel like electricity was tickling his skin, and he didn't feel like was close to orgasm. Nevertheless, Phoenix cleaned the blood from his mark with a few quick licks.
"You'll mark me soon enough, but for now, you're mine."
Tears pooled and blended with the blood trickling from his neck and stained the sheets of the bed. Ren sobbed, feeling like the dirtiest being in the world.
Kyrios wandered into the old town, abandon fifty years prior and having not seen human occupation since. Still, this was where the attraction was leading him, and his Seer eyes scanned the area for any malicious presence. None, not unless dust could take shape and attack. The town held an old "western" appearance, with it's creeky saloon doors moving to and fro, as they likely had so many years ago when drunkards would storm it's insides looking for another drink. The town seemed to only lack a cliched tumble weed skating across the empty street on a whistling wind.
From his spot at Kyrios' back, Jun stepped forward, black plated magnum gleaming in the ivory moonlight. "You're...sure he's here?"
"Yeah, Phoenix too." Kyrios's own magnum was drawn, a click adding emphasis to his sturdy posture. "Jun, you go on ahead to find Ren. He should be in that central building."
"What about you?"
"Phoenix knows we're here. He'll come to me first. He likely won't even notice you. So hurry!"
"But last time...Phoenix..." Kyrios's glare cut through Jun, silencing whatever words were to follow. "Alright, but be careful."
Choked sobs hitching his breath, clinging to the sheet as though it offered some sort of comfort. Phoenix continually tried to console him, but was knocked away each time. "You bastard!" Ren screamed, clenching the crimson wound on his neck. "You had, you had no fucking right!" He felt horrible, like his stomach twisted in knots, and that Kyrios would never look at him the same again. Still, the bite seemed to stir something, memories, though whether they were his or not, Ren was unsure.
"It's okay..." Phoenix soothed. "This is for the best." His hand reached out to touch Ren, but he only flinched and yanked himself away. His eyes were almost comforting, but they all to quickly narrowed into a glare, staring outside of the window, as though seeing something miles away. "Looks like we have company...." He placed a soft kiss on Ren, who flinched away. "Just wait for me..." He cooed, before disappearing into a blaze of cerulean embers.
Kyrios waited, Jun having long since vanished in pursuit of Ren. His wait wasn't long, azure flames pooling at the ground, materializing into a tan being that scattered the blue fire asunder. "Phoenix..." His mouth twisted to a confident grin, his magnum already at aim with Phoenix. "Glad you could make it! Let's get this party started!"
Laughter spilled from Phoenix's throat. "You seem to fail in remembering our last encounter. No matter. A few smacks should remind you, all too well...." Formalities were over, Phoenix hurled his body forward, lunging for a swift strike.
Azure eyes flashed crimson, Kyrios seeing a ghost like image spring from Phoenix's body, punching at him. Using the flash-image as an indicator of Phoenix's movement, Kyrios dodged, planting his feet firmly into the ground and thrusting himself backwards, putting a few good feet between himself and the other Seer.
"I see. You read my movements....my mate seems to have imparted his power to you."
"Your mate? Get bent, asshole!" Angered at the tanned one's claim to his lover, Kyrios released a hailstorm of bullets from his magnum, sending lead raining in Phoenix direction. Phoenix made quick movements through the intense gun fire, storming a quick pursuit toward Kyrios.
"You won't take him away from me! You won't take him like you did him like you did before, Kyrios!" Thrown aback by the sudden declaration, Kyrios was too startled to move as Jun's fist connected with is jaw, throwing him to the dusty ground. "You...you...you took him from me once already..." Tears splashed against the ground, slipping from Phoenix's scarlet eyes. "Bastard...bastard! How many times will you hurt me before you're satisfied!?"
"What the fuck are you talking about!?" Kyrios grabbed a spare clip from his belt, reloaded his gun, and fired again at Phoenix, who dodged as before. Futile as it was, it was a decent distraction while Kyrios climbed back to his otherwise shaky feet. "Are you insane!?"
"You don't even remember?" Phoenix laughed. "How typical. Let me remind you then..."
As Ren ran through the streets, Jun pulling him along as they escaped from the manor, the blond courteously having given Ren his jacket to tie around his waist, he found himself flooded by memories. Faint ones, brief flashes of a life that wasn't his. They'd been coming to him ever since he'd met Phoenix, but now they were less a tiny dripping of water, and now a deluge that consumed Ren. How he looked in his previous life, who he loved, and what his name had been. He had to see Kyrios, he had to apologize. For so many things. He couldn't let the one he had at one time loved, Phoenix, tell Kyrios, the one he loved now.
He and Jun approached Kyrios, the two engaged in a rather nasty fist fight, blow for blow, knocking each around and spitting the blood from their mouths.
"Stop!" Ren broke from Jun's grasp, running forward as Phoenix moved for a powerful strike. Ren pushed himself before Kyrios, taking the blunt of the attack himself.
"Ren!?" Kyrios and Phoenix seemed synchronized with their cry.
Still standing, though a bit of blood rather crudely spit from his mouth, Ren turned, wrapping his arms around Kyrios. "Sorry...I'm so sorry..."
Phoenix's heart dropped as Ren and Kyrios embraced.
"What're you sorry for? Idiot..." Kyrios pet Ren's brown locks.
Ren shook his head, turning from Kyrios' grasp. "Phoenix. I do remember. I remember that I...I loved you. It's in the past now. You can't make me feel what a past life felt. I'm sorry...but this is the way it has to be....
"I-I can't accept that." Blue fire engulfed Phoenix's body. "I-I won't give up, Ren. I love you too much too..."
A sigh escaping his lips, Ren continued. "That's fine. But don't kill anyone else for my sake. If you do Phoenix..." Gathering his courage, Ren growled. "...If you kill anyone else, I'll kill you."
Nodding, the azure flames scattered, Phoenix gone from the presence of the three. Jun released a held breath, dropping to the ground in relief at the surprisingly well-handled situation.
"Kyrios...." Ren turned, trying to hold back the tears to be strong. "I'm sorry. But...I need to tell you this..." He needed to be honest with Kyrios, who looked on confused. So many things to apologize for. In this life, the mark that was now dirtied on his neck. The mark he hoped Kyrios would replace. But in his past life, his past life had been so awful to Kyrios. He had to tell him, he had to be honest, otherwise it could only be worse in the future. His breath shaky, his eyes watered, and his body all but paralyzed, he allowed the words to push past his lips.
"In my past life...my name...was Mathias...the same Mathias...who raped you..."

A/N I was setting up for that end all chapter, I wonder if anyone caught it. Kinda dropped subtle hints here and there, y'know. This chapter was relatively smutless, sorry about that, especially after the last chapter was smutless too. It was kinda short too, despite how much effort I put into it! I'll try to get some action next chapter. Some character trivia now! I initially wanted Phoenix to be plain evil, but I decided that might be boring. So, I prompted to make him crazy! Kinda make him all sweet and loving at one moment, and flying off the handle the next. Gotta give him a break though, he had ALOT of unresolved sexual tension (it'd make anyone crazy)
Thank you time! Thanks of course to all who read, enjoyed, and rated. Special thanks to my reviewers KatFO, BennyPeace, and LadyRyann for their feedback. On to the preview!
Preview: Struggling with the revelation of who Ren is, Kyrios finds himself distancing himself from Ren. Ren reflects on Mathias' abuse of Kyrios, and tries desperately to apologize. Furthermore, the mark on his neck is no longer Kyrios', so why won't the hunter renew it?
"You said you'd come back to me. I've waited all these years." Phoenix cooed, nibbling on the lobe of Ren's ear. "I'll make you feel good, and welcome. I've really missed you." "Your mate?
