Chapter 11

Yaoi_lover: You'd probably end up being right, since I think I made it a little too obvious.

Cobraqueen: Yes someone did :D

Avernion: He had a reason. Maybe more than one. ;)

ON WITH THE CHAPTER!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damien froze when Angel pressed his lips against his, eyes going wide. He was at a loss of what to do. He’d never been kissed by another man before, and he didn’t know why Angel was doing it.

When he tried pulling back, however, Angel bit down harshly. Hard enough to draw blood.

Angel pulled back, licking his lips for excess blood, and wiping his hand across his chin.

“What the hell was that?” Hector asked, not sure whether to laugh at or hit Damien. Maybe both.

“What have you two been doing?” Haley was confused. It wasn’t everyday she saw two men kissing. Not that she minded, of course, but it was a little odd.

“Definitely not what you think,” Damien defended himself, putting his sleeve up to his lip, trying to stop the blood flow, which was already slowing down quickly.

“You okay?” Haley asked, grabbing a towel, and handing it to him.

Soon the only thing left behind were Angel’s teeth marks on his lip, which didn’t seem to heal up like they were supposed to.

“What’d you do?” Damien ran his tongue over the bite over and over again. It was sore, and tasted metallic, and it was something he hadn’t felt in the longest time.

Can you understand me? A voice said from out of nowhere.

Damien stared at Angel, his hand going to his head, a small throb starting for a few seconds, before leaving.

“What’d the hell did you do?” Damien asked again, getting looks from Hector and Haley.

You’re going to have to speak to me like this, I can’t understand a word your saying.

The voice came again, and Damien finally understood, to an extent.

You did this? Damien thought at Angel, and was surprised to see the merman nod.

Only way I could think of.

“Are you alright?” Hector asked, putting a hand on Damien’s shoulder, though only to have it shrugged off.

When Hector asked what was going on, Damien explained what Angel had done. The big man let out a large breath.

“Now we don’t have to worry about the kid no more.” He said, running a large hand threw his messy hair. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the kid, he just didn’t like having to use him. Besides, in his mind, Damien was a little more reliable.

I’m tired, it sounded like a whine, and Damien shook his head.

Is this what you bit me for? He asked, letting out a tired chuckle when he saw the guilty look flash across Angel’s face.

Like I said, it was the only thing I could think of. Besides, it’s not the only reason… Angel was quiet after that, not saying what else for.

But you can’t understand me when I talk out loud? Damien was confused. He’d never spoken to someone through mindlinks before. He didn’t even know it was possible until Kevin came along, and even then, he was skeptical. It had always been theory and myth.

I don’t know how to explain it. Never really thought about it. Angel replied, making Damien think of something else, but before he got ask, Angel told him something else. I want to sleep…’

“I’m going to go take Angel, and let him get some sleep. Don’t tell John or Vic about this yet, okay?” Damien said, and the other two nodded, though they weren’t sure why.

“Where’s he going to stay?” Haley asked, thinking that she could run him some food later.

“My room I guess. I have to get some extra blankets first though,” Damien thought of what he was going to do. He’d probably end up on the floor while Angel took the bed.

“I’ll bring you some later, let him get some sleep now.” Haley motioned for him to go to his room, and Damien obliged , feeling Angel grab onto his sleeve again, and following behind.

We’re we going? Angel asked, looking around the hallway, though it was same as all the others.

My room. You’re tired, right?

Can I sleep outside? Damien stopped in his tracks, and looked back at Angel, who had a desperate look on his face.

Why? If Angel didn’t have a good reason, Damien was going to be annoyed.

Because I don’t feel good. Sunlight helps. It suddenly made sense to Damien now. Angel was looking so pale, even after eating, and though it wasn’t long enough to make him better, Angel seemed to be getting even worse.

There’s a deck you can lay on for a while. It’s just somewhere to take a break for the others. Not many people out there right now. Damien wasn’t sure if he should let Angel out, but he decided to trust the merman. Besides, it’s not like he could get away from him, if Angel decided to make a run for it.

Damien turned them around, and began to walk towards the deck, Angel still following behind. Eventually they got outside, and Angel let out a huge breath.

Much better… Angel had only been standing outside for a few seconds, and already he had a content look on his face.

If you want to sleep, go lay on those chairs. Angel followed the way of Damien’s fingers, and saw a couple lounging chairs.

Angel began to walk over, but noticed Damien stay where he was.

Come with me… Angel pleaded, and Damien couldn’t help but be dragged in by the face that Angel was giving him.

Why do you keep wanting to be around me? Damien couldn’t really think of another way to put it. Angel looked thoughtful.

Because, you’re like me. You’re one of us.
