Bahri vs. Brian
/“You know how Sara and I read the book? Well, male elves can give birth,” Tyler said looking at me carefully./
“How do you feel about it,” I asked. Tyler sighed and let go of my hands.
“I’m happy because I’ve always wanted children, but I’m also scared.”
“What are you afraid of,” I asked brushing away strands of hair away from his eyes. Tyler blushed and slid beside me on the bed.
“That I won’t be a good parent, that I’ll mess up in some way,” Tyler said softly. I grinned and gently caressed his cheek.
“But you’d be the perfect parent,” I said. Tyler gave me a small smile.
“You think,” he whispered staring into my eyes. I nodded my head before placing a soft kiss on his lips.
“What else did you learn,” I asked.
“Just those, elves are protective over their mates, though they tend to be the submissive ones. You know that like vampires, elves possess powers,” he asked.
“I never knew that,” I whispered. Tyler nodded before resting his head on my chest.
“Has anyone told you that you have a comfortable chest,” Tyler asked stifling a yawn.
“No,” I said chuckling. “I think you’re the first one to tell me that. Why don’t you take a nap, we have all weekend to ourselves.”
“Okay,” Tyler mumbled closing his eyes. I gently laid a kiss on his forehead and just held him until he was asleep.
A knock on the door startled me but I quickly hurried to answer it. Once the door revealed the person, I quickly regretted opening it.
“You’re his room mate too,” Brian said clearly annoyed. I lazily leaned against the door frame and just stared at him.
“Can you just go and get Tyler,” He asked angrily. I glanced at Tyler’s sleeping form inside before looking back at Brian.
“He’s busy right now. Also, he wanted me to tell you to leave him alone,” I stated. Brian stepped closer to me until he was millimeters from me.
“Why would he tell you to do that,” Brian snapped. I restrained from smacking him on the head but I stared coldly at him.
“Maybe because I haven’t given him a reason to hate him such as beating him up for a couple of years. It might be because I actually understand what he’s going through,” I said icily.
“I understand what he’s going through,” Brian snapped. I rolled my eyes but didn’t comment. “How is it that you just show up and he trusts you, but I’ve been here since the beginning and he still doesn’t trust me?”
“Well, let’s look at what you’ve done wrong,” I said in overly happy voice. “You don’t know him like a real friend would, you were clinging on to him when you did know him, then you started beating him up, and last you annoy him by following him around like a love sick puppy.”
Brian just stared at me dumbly when I finished my statement. Behind me, I could hear Tyler stirring in his sleep.
“Well, it was nice seeing you again and I hope to never experience it again,” I said closing the door before Brian could remark.
“Tyler,” I whispered. “Tyler, you have to wake up.”
“Mmmmm,” Tyler mumbled under the covers. Rolling my eyes, I pulled back the covers.
“Too bright,” Tyler moaned. I smiled and gently laid a kiss on his forehead.
“Brian came to visit. I think he likes you,” I said sitting down next to Tyler.
“You think,” Tyler muttered rubbing his eyes. “Why does he think I will forget how he treated me?”
“Good question; don’t know the answer.”
“Bahri…what was your home like,” Tyler asked hesitantly. I sighed and looked at the wall opposite him.
“It was nothing like how it is here. There were dead trees surrounding the palace and-”
“You lived in a palace,” Tyler exclaimed sitting up. I looked at his overly excited face and loved how his eyes shone with curiosity.
“No, I lived in a little cottage next to the palace,” I said sarcastically as I laid down. Tyler smiled and crawled over to me so that he could place his head on my chest.
“I think this is your permanent position,” I laughed as he snuggled close to me.
“Hey, you just happen to be comfy, that’s all,” Tyler pouted.
“I’m not complaining,” I stated pulling him closer, if possible. “My family did live in a palace, but you get tired of them pretty quick. My father ruled over our clan so we moved a lot.”
“Your Father was the ruler? That makes you-”
“A ruler’s son or prince,” I mumbled.
“You should be proud, Bahri.”
“Right, be proud of the same person who didn’t want me to find you? The same person who believes that mates are just our “pets”,” I snapped angrily.
“Please don’t be like that,” Tyler whispered turning to look at me. I sighed but tried to calm down.
“My father and I had different opinions about mates and other things, so I ran. Karsh, my brother, said he would protect me but he lied. He turned everyone against me while I’ve been gone and has taken my father’s role as leader.”
“What do you think of mates,” Tyler asked. I watched his eyes change from sky blue to a solid gray.
“They should be treated as equals, probably more. If you love someone, then show them not treat them like a pet.”
“So you would go against tradition for me,” Tyler asked sitting up. I got up and wrapped my arms around him.
“I would give everything I could for you,” I whispered into his ear. “You are more than that stupid tradition.”
“B-but you were born with those traditions,” Tyler stammered as I licked my way down his neck.
“I also decide what I believe in,” I mumbled before continuing my journey down his neck. Tyler moaned and threw his head back.
“Bahri,” Tyler moaned. I smiled and moved away from Tyler causing him to whine.
“Tyler, I can’t go any further without losing control,” I stated. Tyler blushed and scooted back a little.
“Let’s go see what Niki’s up to,” he said grinning. I rolled my eyes but got up and headed towards the door.
“Didn’t you say you hated parties planned by her,” I asked as Tyler got up and walked over to me. He shrugged his shoulders and opened the door.
“I do but she’s my only family member left,” He stated with a far away look. I quickly pulled him outside the room and started walking.
“You weren’t close to your family at all, were you,” he asked catching up with me. I looked away from him as I thought about it.
“There wasn’t anything similar or close about us. My mother was the humorous one, Karsh was the temper-mental, and my sister was the artist. I never really knew my father since he was so busy being a ruler.”
“Wait, you have a sister,” Tyler asked stopping for a minute. I glanced over at him but nodded.
“Nelanie wasn’t much of a people-person but she could draw so well. She could make masterpieces when she was 5. We got along pretty well only because Nelanie doesn’t speak much English.”
“What about Karsh? How was your relationship with him?”
“Karsh never liked to do anything that I did. If I listened to music, he would make sure his music was nothing like it. When my father got me a wolf, Karsh went into this phase of hating wolves.”
“Your father got you a wolf? Are you joking,” Tyler asked staring at me as I shook my head. “Karsh doesn’t sound that bad.”
“Ah, but you don’t know him. He’s a powerful vampire that loves to show just how powerful he is,” I stated grimly.
“Aren’t you powerful,” Tyler asked slowly. I smiled at him and pulled him a little closer.
“I’m more powerful than my brother because his mate died. Vampire mates help with flying, magic, and other things. So basically, yes.”
“Help in what way?”
“Support, mostly, and inspiration. With flying, a mate is a distraction from the pain wings cause.”
“You’ve never seemed like you were in pain when your wings were out.”
“That’s because I wasn’t trying to fly. Vlad won’t let me fly unless you’re there with me.”
“I’m glad he doesn’t,” Tyler said. “What movie do you want to watch tonight?”
“Whatever you want,” I said half-heartedly. Tyler watched me carefully before stopping in front of, what I guessed was, Niki’s door.
Tyler knocked on the door and took a step away from me. I was about to comment when the door opened. Niki stepped outside and grabbed Tyler in a bear hug.
“Ty, so glad you could come. Sara told me you’d come for a movie to watch. Nice to see you again Bahri,” Niki said looking at me carefully. “
“Lovely to see you too, Niki. Tyler was telling me how much closer you two are than me and my siblings.”
“We aren’t close, just understanding. Tyler, the movies are on the table inside,” Niki said without looking at him.
“Okay,” Tyler said slowly looking from Niki to me. He sighed and walked into Niki’s dorm.
“What is it you want to tell me,” I asked. Niki took a step towards me and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Don’t mess with him. He’s already suffered enough as it is.”
“I already know about his father. He told me,” I stated. Niki looked at me carefully before looking away.
“You have to protect him. Mom told me what he is and that he needed protection,” Niki said slowly. I glanced into the dorm and back at her.
“Why are you telling me this,” I asked.
“Because for once Tyler is happy,” She whispered. “He doesn’t worry about Michael or trusting someone.”
“That’s what I want for him, to forget. You understand me, right?”
“What do we understand,” Tyler asked as he came back with a hand full of DVD’s.
“Nothing, we were just waiting for you,” Niki said smiling. I nodded in agreement as Tyler looked at us suspiciously.
“Okay, we’ll see you later Niki,” Tyler said giving Niki a hug. Niki hugged him back and then gave me a hug.
“What movies did you choose,” I asked as we headed back to the dorm.
“Just a couple of movies,” Tyler said absently. I sighed and moved closer to him.
“I’ll tell you if you tell me what you and Niki were talking about.”
“Nothing really,” I said looking straight ahead. Tyler sighed heavily and stopped walking.
“Why can’t you tell me,” He asked quietly. I glanced over at him and stopped walking as well.
“All we talked about was protecting you and forgetting your past. Niki told me that your mother knew what you are,” I whispered.
“Why didn’t you want to tell me,” Tyler asked looking into my eyes with intensity.
“I-I don’t know,” I whispered. Tyler looked at me carefully before smiling.
He looked around the hall to see if anyone was coming. When he saw that no one else was here, he gently pressed his lips against mine.
Moaning, I nipped his bottom lip as my hands found their way to his waist. Tyler’s tongue timidly slipped past my lips as his legs wrapped around me.
Growling, I pushed him back against the wall causing him to drop the DVDs. He moaned as I started to nip my way down his neck.
“Bahri, someone might… mmmmm… see us,” Tyler moaned. I groaned but took a step away from Tyler. Tyler took a few shaky breaths as he touched his lips.
“Did I hurt you,” I asked looking at him carefully. He simply shook his head and started to pick up the DVDs.
“Are you guys planning a sleepover or something,” a familiar voice asked. Tyler and I both looked up to see Brian’s smug face.
“Just leave us alone,” Tyler stated. Brian came closer to us as I stood up.
“You’re friend told me you didn’t want to see me again,” Brian said smirking at me.
“Is that true,” Tyler asked me with a small smile. I just nodded looking at Brain. “Well, he’s telling the truth: I never want to see you again.”
“Wait, what,” Brian shouted, looking form Tyler to me and back again.
“He said that I was right,” I stated moving closer to Tyler.
“I wasn’t talking to you, Darkalley ass,” Brian snapped. Tyler held my back as I tried to lunge at him.
“What did you just call me,” I asked slowly as my teeth started to grow. Tyler urgently tugged my arm.
“Leave him, Bahri. He’s not worth it,” he whispered. I glared at Brian but turned around and started to walk away.
“You Darkalley Bats are such wimps,” Brian called. I turned around and before Tyler could stop me, I punched Brian and broke his nose.
“Bahri,” Tyler yelled. I took one last look at Brian before walking over to Tyler.
“I told you to leave him alone,” Tyler whispered glancing back at Brian. I looked away from Tyler and didn’t answer.
“Bahri, please don’t hurt anyone else,” Tyler asked stopping me.
“I won’t, but he provoked me. Am I not allowed to react to that,” I asked. Tyler blushed and looked away.
“Let’s talk about this later,” Tyler suggested as we reached our dorm.
I agreed as we entered the room. I wrapped my arms around Tyler and picked him up. He laughed as I placed him on the bed.
“Which movie,” I asked. Tyler shrugged and played with the bed sheets. I rolled my eyes but picked a random movie (A/N: You guys can choose the movie).
As the movie started, I moved behind Tyler and let him rest his head on my chest. Halfway through the movie, Tyler fell asleep. I quietly turned off the movie and snuggled up with Tyler…
A/N: Hope you guys ejoyed it!!
“How do you feel about it,” I asked. Tyler sighed and let go of my hands.
