The Blood Of Three Kings

The moonlight shone down on her. Serenity nuzzled up on to the pad. Her blanket, which was actually both of their blanket, was curled around her five times. Silvan sighed as he found him self uncovered again. He couldn’t help but to chuckle.

“Love?” He looked at her. He grinned widely. She was absolutely beautiful. “Serenity.”

“Hmm?” Sleepy words escaped her. “What?”

“Can I have some of that blanket?”

“Huh?” She blinked. Serenity chuckling. “Oh. Well I guess. Only if you cuddle up to me though.”

“Well If I must.”

Silvan grinned and shifted back under covers. Serenity hugged up against him and sighed. Her cheek against his chest. Silvan wrapped his arms around her and grinned. He felt that he got the better end of this bargain. They both did really but any excuse to have her on top of him was a good excuse.

“So tell me where we are again?” Serenity peeked up at him. “It is a really beautiful forest.”

“This is Lyre forest. It is home to a race of elves called Shi. They only exist in this one forest. Outside of it no ones ever seen them.”

“Oh! I remember them. I dreamed once that we were riding here. We ran into a an all white haired girl. Her hair was whiter than mine and she had pale , pale skin. Her eyes were ice blue too.” Serenity kissed a small spot on his chest. “I was jealous in the dream because she was much prettier then my self.”

“My love, no one is as pretty as you. You are my shining gem.”Silvan lifted her chin so her eyes met his. “My angel. My heart. Need I say more?”

“No.” She smiled and leaned up kissing him. “You always know how to comfort me don’t you.”

“I’m only speaking the truth.” Silvan held her as close as he could. “You know I would speak nothing less to you.”

“I know love.”

Serenity slid to his side and leaned against him. She would have been perfectly content if it would not have been for a pair of eyes watching them through the darkness. She gasped rather loudly. Serenity almost crawled up into his shirt at the site of the eerie ice blue eyes on them. Silvan fell back with a grunt.

“Love what is the matter!” silvan was trying to pull her out from under his shirt. “Tell me what’s wrong!”

Serenity pointed to the woods where the several sets of eyes were still watching them. He could see how that might make one crawl up into another persons clothes.

“Oh.” Silvan pulled her to his side as best he could. Serenity was pretty much clinging to him right now. “Love it is okay. That is just some of the Shi people. They are guardians to this forest.”

“King silvan.” A whisper came from the woods. “Beware the changing of times. The unknown lurks.”

The eyes started to disappear. Silvan sat up quickly. The shi were known to be seers of sorts. Serenity peeked up at silvan worriedly.

“Silvan what’s wrong?”

“Hold on love.” Silvan looked to the fading eyes. “Wait! Please tell me more!” He pulled away from his wife and stumbled to a stand. “Please.”

Serenity was now officially worried. She couldn’t hear anything. Silvan looked at the last remaining pair of eyes. They stepped from the darkness to reveal the same female that Serenity described. Blue speckles, like ice, shimmered over her skin.

“Beware the days ahead.” Her whispered came from the mind. “Tread lightly and follow the path chaos has followed.”

She stepped back into the woods. What did she mean? Follow chaos? Follow the path of evil? Silvan looked utterly frustrated. Serenity slipped beside him. Her arm wrapped around his as she tried to get him to talk to her.

“Silvan? That’s the girl I saw. I don’t hear her speaking though. What’s wrong?”

“I don’t...know.” Silvan met her gaze with a worried look. “You see love. The Shi people are seers. They can warn of things to come if they so desire.” His hand stroked her cheek. “They saw fit tonight. She spoke to me in my mind. She said to beware the coming days and..to follow the path that chaos followed.” he shook his head..”And something about the unknown lurking.”

Serenity looked up at him. She could see why he was worried now. Silvan wrapped his arms around his love protectively again. He didn’t know what that warning meant but he would heed it. The Shi people rarely showed them selves. When they did it was always important. He was not the only one to get a warning though. Back at Lucian’s home, he was watching the fading form of a Shi leave his home.

“Daddy?” Kitten was shaking him just like Serenity had done Silvan.”Daddy talk to me.”

“Troubles come baby girl. We both knew this.”

“But to have a Shi come?” Kitten’s eyes showed fear.”They never leave Lyre.”

“I know baby.”

The screams of Kaire broke him from his more serious trance of worry. Kitten jumped nearly out of her skin. Kaire pulled and yanked on the chains holding her.

“Let me up!! Lucian you Wretch! I’ll Kill you if I get out of these chains! How dare you put an inhibitor on me!”

She was cursing him ninety ways to nothing right now. Lucian places his hands over kittens ears and sighed. He knew she wouldn’t be happy when she woke up. Kitten blinked and looked up. It was a good ten minutes before he finally uncovered her ears.

“Why don’t you go pick some fresh herbs for our dinner. Before she gets her wind back.” Lucian spoke suggestively. He’d rather not have kitten hear the next line of words that were sure to escape kaire. “Okay?”

“On my way.” Kitten ran off with a small basket. “I’ll be back later.”

“Alright.”

The door shut. It was almost immediately after that Kaire started again.

“Lucian! You Let me go!”

Lucian had no idea that so many words of profanity existed. He sat down in his comfy arm chair and sighed. He would have to wait for the fit of words to stop coming from Kaire’s room before he went in there. At this rate that could take a while.

“Beware the unknown. The unknown lurks.”

Tamin heard this warning. Kristian awoke to the ghostly apparition of the female Shi. His wife was snuggled soundly in his arms.

“Tamin?”

Veleska came as quickly as she could. The Goddess Avatar had that same look of worry over her face. Tamin looked at her. His features had gone pale and almost white. She was Sure that he saw the Shi Elf as well. A scream erupted from Kristian and Sarai’s room.

“S..stop! What do you mean!” Sarai sat up quickly. “Kristian?”

Her husbands figure sat quietly and fully awake in the bed beside her.

“You saw..her?”

“Yes.” Kristian looked at her. “Beware the time of change.”

Veleska and Tamin rushed to the bedroom. The four adults each held a single peace of the same warning. Back in the forest Silvan sat on the sleeping pads. Serenity was once again clinging to her husband. Silvan wrapped the blanket around her and leaned back against a tree.

“Do you think others know?” Serenity looked up at him. “About..them?”

“I believe so my love. Try and rest. I will keep watch.”

“I want to stay up with you.” Serenity shook her head. “I can do it.”

“You need rest. Your body cares for more then just you now.” He looked to her. “The twins need you to be healthy and rested.” Silvan brushed a finger over her cheek. “Please love?”

“This is no fair.” Serenity sighed and rested her cheek against his chest. “I knew you’d pull that baby card on me.”

“Yes and you know I’m right. Now rest.”

Silvan let his hand slide over her arm. His fingers traced the outline of the armband which Veleska gave her. Things would come to a very dangerous happening very soon. He just hoped that they could handle this together.

“Lucian what do you mean!”

Kaire was clmed but just as difficult. Lucian had to explain things to her now as well. Kitten came running into the house panting. Her features went as white as the Ghostly image of the Shi female they all saw.

“Daddy I saw ..a...A...I heard. She warned me too!”

“I know Kitten.” Lucian looked up at her. Even kaire had to notice the frightened look on Kittens face.”I think we all know.”

“We all?”

Both Kitten and Kaire spoke up. Lucian nodded to them.

“I think all that needs to know has heard her warning. The times of change are at hand. We must all prepare for the worst has yet to come.”

A/N: Hi again! Here is an update and I hope you all like it. I had some slight difficulties tieing in all the characters into one..considering they are spread all over . I think i did a good job at my attempts.

It also looks like things are about to get much more serious for everyone in Corinthia. The unknown lurks. I can't tell you much more as it would ruin the plot but I think it is worth hanging around to see. this is just one of those annoying little mysteries people will have to deal with unti its time to reveal it in the chapters.

For those also reading this. Yes Serenity is pregnant with twins. She is only a few months along though. I don't plan to rush her pregnancy for stories sake. I think it would ruin the integrity and plot of the given story thus far if I tried to rush such a thing.

Lastly I want to thank you all for sticking with me. And I love and appreciate the Reviews. Keep them coming. I want to know what everyone thinks. Also I'd like ideas on what you think might happen. I don't want ot be giving my plot away unknowingly after all.
