Chapter 11
Robin was beside herself the whole week over her kiss with Kevin. She had been trying to ignore him and stay away from him, but he seemed to be every where she looked, like at the library where she was now.
Right when she was about to leave Marcus walked in and looked in her direction and quickly left, he had been doing that a lot lately. She knew that he knew Kevin kissed her, but she could not tell him that she kissed him back and liked the kiss. She liked it more then she should have, considering the fact that she was in love with Marcus, but at one time she liked Kevin too until he turned on her and now he was being so nice to her. What was she suppose to do? Marcus was so sweet and nice and sexy, but on the other hand Kevin was available whenever she needed him and he was finally being his self and she liked that about him.
“Hey stranger,” Kevin said from behind her, “We have to talk sometime or another.”
“Not now.” Robin looked at him and quickly looked away. She knew that she needed to talk to Kevin, but she also needed to talk to Marcus and she needed to do that now. “Kevin we can talk later, but right now I need to leave,” she walked out the library and straight to Marcus’ apartment. She knocked on the door, but no one answered.
Once at her dorm she noticed him sitting in front of her door. He looked up and stood. She walked to him and before she could say anything, he kissed her pulling her into his arms. Everything she had to tell him was forgotten for the moment all that mattered was how Marcus was making her feel and before she could reciprocate the kiss he pulled away. Then he smiled at her, “That is a kiss Robin.”
“I’m sorry Marcus, but I was planning on telling you. I just didn’t know how to tell you that I kissed him back,” She opened her door and let him in before closing it behind her.
Marcus looked at her then quickly looked away trying to hide the jealousy he felt from hearing her words. At first he thought that Kevin kissed her and she pushed him away, but now he knew that she kissed him too. “So, what now?”
She walked to him and put her arms around his waist. “Now I say that I am sorry and hope that you will forgive me. I don’t know what else to say.”
He looked at her and took her hands off from around him. “Is that all that happened?”
“Yea that’s all.” She wanted to touch him, but didn’t want to be pushed away again, “Um lets take a walk so we can talk some more.”
Robin told him about her feelings as they walked although she knew Marcus didn’t like what he was hearing he listened anyway. She explained that deep down she did have feelings for Kevin, which was crazy on her part. Marcus listened, but still did not touch her and moved her hand when she tried to hold his. “So are we breaking up?”
“No we aren’t breaking up. I just need some time right now. To think about what you said. I know you love me Robin, but what a crazy way to show that love by kissing someone else,” he tried to catch his emotions and calm down when other people started to stop and listen. “Look I need to get out of here,” he walked off leaving Robin by herself.

Marcus didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t go to his apartment because it reminded him of Robin. He loved her and she hurt him over some dumb guy that was playing her. “Kevin,” he said to his self. Kevin was who he needed to see. It was his fault that him and Robin were having problems. He knew she loved him, but it still hurt to know that she kissed someone else. He couldn’t do anything about that now, but he could beat the shit out of Kevin.
Marcus saw Kevin later that day hanging with some boys. He noticed him look at him and smile, but that smile quickly changed when he saw Marcus’ frown.
“We need to talk now.” Marcus said and pulled Kevin out of the group.
“Man what the hell is wrong with you,” Kevin noticed Marcus looking pretty angry and he just knew Robin did not tell him about the kiss she was too scared for that.
“You’re my problem. You have one more word to say to Robin and your ass is mines.”
“Robin is my friend and she wants to see me, then I will see her. That has nothing to do with you.”
“Shut the fuck up Kevin. That has everything to do with me.” He could not believe that Kevin was actually standing her talking smack with him about his girl friend.
“If Robin loved you she would have not kissed me,” Kevin knew that would get Marcus to thinking, “She is so hot and she was all over me in her room. I just responded to what she was doing.”
Marcus lost his cool and punched Kevin straight in the mouth. Kevin bagged up and was about to come after him, but Marcus beat him to it and punched him again knocking him to the ground.
“Talk shit now.”
“Man what the fuck is wrong with you?” Kevin said as he got up off the ground. He was about to charge again, but thought about it this time and stood still.
“You are my problem.” He went up to him and grabbed his shirt, “Just leave Robin alone,” He threw him down, turned around and walked right into Robin.
“What did you do Marcus?” She looked at Kevin then back at Marcus.
“He was saying some things about you and I was just defending you and myself. He ain’t nothing, but a creep. He tricked you.”
“What?” She didn’t understand there was no way Kevin could have played her for a fool again. She could not go through that again. It hurt like hell the first time for her, but this time it will hurt for Kevin.
“He is lying Robin. He is just mad that you broke up with him for me. I was jus….”
“I didn’t break up with Marcus. In fact I was on my way to his place to get him to see things better. Why would you think I wanted you?” She looked at Kevin, who looked terrible with blood all over his shirt.
“The kiss. You kissed me.” Kevin tried to walk up to her, but stopped when Marcus looked at him.
“I didn’t kiss you, you kissed me.”
“Man fuck this shit.” Kevin turned around and walked off towards his dorm.
Marcus looked at Robin then turned to walk to his apartment.
“Wait!” She ran to catch up with him. “I’m sorry. I really am and if you need time that is what I am going to give you. Just please don’t shut me out.”
“Just give me some time,’ he looked at her as she turned around back towards her dorm, “I promise I’ll call!” He yelled after her before running into his building.

Kevin was beyond mad and he planned to get back at both of them. No one said no to him and got away with it. Marcus and Robin had entered a game where there was no turning back. “You might have got the first hit in Marcus, but believe me I will get the last.”
