Justin’s heart was thundering as he gathered his jacket and followed Desimir out of the restaurant. He couldn’t believe that he was getting to go back to his place. Being the part time pessimist that he was he’d figured the night would end after dinner with a promise to call that would never be fulfilled.
On the drive over, his mind kept turning over the evening and all that he had learned about Desimir so far. His family sounded so nice and normal, not at all like he dealt with growing up. Part of him hoped that some day he would get to meet them, while the other part was more than a little frightened at the concept; however he knew that it was a long way off.
Before he realized it he was parking in the street and following Desimir up a set of stairs to his place, hands linked.
“My office is the first floor, one of these days I’ll show it to you. It’s much nicer looking in the day time anyway.” Desimir commented as he opened the door to his apartment, flipping the lights on before he stepped back to allow Justin to pass him. “This is home, for now, not much to look at, but it works.”
Gently Desimir placed his hands on Justin’s shoulders, turning him around to face him, the joking and laughter of earlier gone. “Thank you very much for going to dinner with me, I really enjoyed myself this evening,” The words were whispered, the caramel hues intense with emotion.
Justin didn’t seem to be able to form any words, his entire being focused on Desimir. Slowly he licked his lips, every fiber of his being crying out for him to close the small distance between them and brush a kiss over the lips he’d been fantasizing over all evening. Yet something held him back, breath catching in anticipation.
For Justin the moment seemed to stretch on for an eternity when in reality it was only a few seconds before he felt Desimir’s hands slipping beneath his jacket, sliding it past his shoulders and off so it could be hung up on the coat rack next to the door.
“Here, let me take that.” With those words the spell was broken and Justin found himself wishing that he’d taken that step forward so he could find out exactly how soft those lips were. “Come on, I’ll give you the abbreviated tour then we can get our drinks.”
Wordlessly, Justin nodded and followed Desimir as he led him around the apartment, pointing out various things.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Desimir’s fingers tapped a steady nervous tattoo on the steering wheel as he drove the familiar route back to his building. He hadn’t had a guy over to his apartment in ages and was feeling slightly anxious about it.
He let his mind drift back to dinner when they had been talking over their main courses. Justin had been so free sharing information about his past, about his writing, and ideas in general. It felt good to get out and simply sit, talking with someone who he shared many interests with.
Desimir hadn’t gotten out much since Cole had left, not wanting to expose himself to the pain and heartbreak again. Not that he’d be celibate, there had been a few short relationships, all purely physical. He hadn’t wanted to let someone get close.
Soon they had arrived and he had Justin’s hand in his, tugging him up the stairs towards his apartment. Once they had gotten up the stairs, he opened the door, turned on the lights and allowed Justin to enter the apartment first, explaining how the building was set up.
“This is home, for now, not much to look at, but it works.” He commented, standing behind Justin as the other looked about the place, most of which could be seen from the main hall.
Unable to help himself, he turned Justin around, needing to see his face, “Thank you very much for going to dinner with me, I really enjoyed myself this evening,” Desimir whispered softly, unable to tear his gaze away from the clear blue eyes focused on him.
He could feel the tension in the air, and was desperately trying to behave himself, not wanting to make any sudden moves on the author. This one he wanted to take slowly, not wanting to rush anything or possibly ruin anything.
The urge to kiss the gorgeous man in front of him was hard to resist, even more so when said man decided to lick his lips. Desimir bit back a groan, and tried to distract himself by pushing Justin’s jacket off his shoulders, yet all that did was inflame him even more since hands were running over that lightly muscled frame. Plus the movement got him closer to the lips he longed to cover with his own.
“Here, let me take that,” Desimir offered, cursing the promise that he made to behave as he turned and hung the jacket up, “Come on, I’ll give you the abbreviated tour then we can get our drinks.”
Desimir led Justin further in to the apartment, pointing out the obvious, “Down there is the bathroom and my bedroom. Here’s the dining room and kitchen, and the living room is over…”
His words were cut off when Justin grabbed him by the hand, spinning him around abruptly. Desimir opened his mouth again to ask what Justin was doing when he felt lips press against his. Any struggle stopped as he relaxed under the pressure, hands sliding up Justin’s arms to pull him close.
Eyes fluttered shut as he lost himself in sensations, the feel of that silk shirt under his fingers, the smoothness of the lips that moved sensuously along his, the way that Justin seemed to fit perfectly against him.
Moaning softly, he parted his lips, tongue dancing along the seam of Justin’s lips, seeking entrance. Feeling the author’s body melt against his, he tightened his arms, even as his tongue delved inwards, exploring the moist depths. A moment or two passed, Desimir lost track of time, before he pulled away slowly.
It took a moment for him to focus on Justin’s face, a hand rising to rake through his hair slowly. To him, Justin had never looked better; there was a slight flush on his face, lips swollen from the kiss and his eyes cloudy with passion.
The hand moved from his hair to brush along Justin’s cheek, “Wow, that came out of nowhere.”
A half smile touched Justin’s face, “You talk too much.”

A/N: Okay, a couple things here guys:
1) Thank you so much for the flood of reviews, they were such an inspiration to keep writing. Thank you - especially those that come back and review over and over!
2) I\'m afraid that for now this story is going to be placed on hold indefinatly. I am a member of the US Army Reserves, and I have been activated. I will be going to Cuba shortly for a unknown length of time. It is highly unlikely that I will be able to write/post a story of this nature while using government computers! I will continue it when I do return though, and I just want to thank everyone for their support while I was writing the story. Feel free to leave comments, cause I will be checking them until I go and you can always email me at ApolloImperium@aol.com.
Until I return,
Apollo
