I wake up a little late the next morning, and after changing clothes, I walk out to find Nick walking to the door with a suitcase. “Uh, what’s going on?” I ask him, not really wanting to see him leave.
He looks at me with a small smile. “I’ll be back in a week, don’t worry. I just have to go home for awhile… My grandpa died…”
“Oh… I’m so sorry, Nick.” I look down, now feeling very upset, but he holds my chin up.
“It’s not really that big a deal; I just have to be there.” He opens the door and walks outside, calling out to Takeru and I, “see you next week.”
Then he leaves… for a whole week…

The first day alone with Takeru isn’t so bad at first. He pretty much stays in his room studying, so I just watch television in the living room. At dinner, we order a pizza, and I’m shocked to see him eat pretty much half of it on his own. Man, that guy can eat! Then later on, we go to bed. So exciting… not.
The second day with Takeru started out the same, but then I had to go to work. Things were really slow until… I saw Lucas walk up. Oh my god, why is he here again? “Hello there, Nana,” he says with a grin.
“What do you want?”
“I’m just waiting for Millie to get off.”
“Huh? Millie??” I look at her and she just smiles back. “You’re dating him?”
“Well, why not?” is her response. “He seems like a nice guy.”
B-but he’s just using you to stalk me! I so want to say this to her, but I can’t. It’ll only give me away. “Hi, Nana!” Eep! Crissy runs up to me, pushing Lucas out of her way. “We have so much catching up to do, sis!”
“Yeah, I know… and meet Lucas there, by the way…”
She turns and looks at him. “Hello there, Lucas.”
“Pleasure to meet you, miss,” Lucas replies with a smile. I just want him out of here.
“So, Millie,” Crissy starts, getting my co-worker’s attention, “can I borrow Nana for a bit?”
“Sure, go ahead.”
“Thank you!” and with that, she promptly snatches me away, dragging me to a table and sitting down. “Now tell me!” she whispers, “What’s the deal with that guy? Mom says that you all showed up last night.”
“It’s because of that Lucas guy. I don’t think he’s gonna give up. He’s trying to convince Nick and Takeru that I’m a girl and get me kicked out,” I tell her.
“Why does he care?”
“Because he wants to move in…”
“Ohh… well, that’s not good.” Crissy looks over at him then, looking as though she‘s deep in thought. “Hmm…” I just sit there, wishing that he would just leave me alone. If he keeps this up, I’ll surely break in no time. I can’t let that happen though, but what can I do?

The next day starts out really boring, so Takeru and I decide to rent a movie. Just picking a movie out is entertaining enough though. I never thought I would argue so much with a guy about what to watch, and he ends up winning, or else I have to admit to being scared. The movie he picks out is kind of old, and meant for the VCR. I gloomily sit in the passenger side seat as Takeru drove us home. I am already freaking out, though. I don’t do well with scary movies of any kind.
Once home, I pop the popcorn and go out to the living room, and Takeru hits the play button. I get comfy as it plays through old previews, and then my roommate does something I’m not happy about at all. He turns off the light. We’re sitting on the couch, him munching on popcorn and laughing a little at the wacko gadgets the guy made. My favorite thing about the whole movie is the little furry guy named Gizmo. He’s really cute, but as the movie goes on, I get more and more freaked out. The lights being off just add to scariness of it all.
After the movie, I try to find sleep, but I can’t. I just can’t get those things out of my mind! It was so scary! And gross! And… aaahhh!!!
Eventually, I finally do fall asleep… with my light on.
In the morning, it starts out as the same routine once again. Hopefully Nick will be home in three days. I go to the kitchen for some… lunch, I guess, and Takeru comes out of his room. “Hey, Alec, I won’t be home tonight.”
“You won’t?” I look at him in shock. So, I’m gonna be home alone tonight?
“No, sorry. But, I called up a friend of mine. He wouldn’t mind taking you on a date to take your mind off things, if you want to go.” He? “Just give him a call if you want. I’ll be back by early morning,” and he walks out.

So I’m supposed to go on a date with a guy… as a guy…? Huuuuh??
I pace a little in the kitchen, thinking. I don’t really wanna do this, but I don’t wanna be home alone in case those things show up. I really don’t wanna do this, but the scariness… Waaaaaahhhhh!!!!
