Chapter Ten
CHAPTER 10:
“We need to talk…” Ivalyn repeated her words, watching as Kiyoshi backed away from her. She let herself in and closed the door behind her. Kiyoshi felt trapped, just like when Luke had come to kidnap him. “I can see that you are frightened, Kiyoshi,” Ivalyn spoke as she walked closer towards the trembling Kiyoshi, “But I promise that I am not here to harm you in any way.” Kiyoshi was still tense, but he tried calming down. This immortal lady, he remembered her as one of the many who had surrounded him.
“Kiyoshi,” Ivalyn continued to speak, “I know what Luke did to you. We heard you; your screams echoed off the walls.” Kiyoshi didn’t bother wiping the tears that had started down his cheeks, “Kiyoshi I just want you to understand,” Ivalyn went on, “that Luke does, indeed, care for you. He did not mean to hurt you.” Not meant it? Kiyoshi was sure that this woman was making a huge mistake. Of course Luke meant to hurt him, right?
Ivalyn stepped closer to Kiyoshi, taking a glance at his wounded arm, “Rod, you and your big mouth. Kiyoshi how is your arm?” Kiyoshi didn’t answer. Ivalyn nodded her head, taking Kiyoshi’s arm into hers, “Don’t worry, I’ll fix it for you.” Kiyoshi stared wide-eyed as a special, warming feeling grew out all around his arm. The bandages fell off to reveal a healed arm. Kiyoshi took his arm and rubbed his fingers along where the scar once rested.
“How,” Kiyoshi gulped and blinked, “How did you? What in the…?”
“Though you’re mortal,” Ivalyn began, “my immortal powers are able to heal your wound. Luke could’ve done so, too, but I do not know why he left the wound on your arm. He’s troubled. That’s why you have to talk to him. Kiyoshi, you have to come with me and talk to him.”
“Huh, why should I,” Kiyoshi asked, “That man, Luke, he fucking raped me!”
“Kiyoshi,” Ivalyn’s voice was still so gentle sounding, “look at my arm.” Kiyoshi took a glance at Ivalyn’s arm and let out a surprised gasp.
“That tattoo,” Kiyoshi opened his shirt, “It’s an exact replica of my own.”
“Kiyoshi,” Ivalyn continued, “Just like you I, too, am a puppet, but Teo’s puppet. I had just met him a day or so before you and Luke had met. Just like what Luke had done to you, Teo went with me through the step process and he, too, had his way with me our first night.”
“Weren’t you scared?” Kiyoshi asked, his eyes widened by Ivalyn’s truthfulness.
“Yes, indeed I was,” Ivalyn smiled, “But I knew it was my destiny. Now, nothing can keep me and Teo apart. I love him,” Ivalyn paused; she placed her hand over her heart, “And he loves me too.” Kiyoshi’s tears hit the floor. He did not want to believe Ivalyn’s words, “Kiyoshi I know that Luke loves you,” Kiyoshi looked into Ivalyn’s dark brown eyes, “He loves you, Kiyoshi. Though he doesn’t show it, he does, for all immortals without the tattoo must learn to love their puppet. You are his, so it is you who must push some sense into him. He’ll listen to you, I’m sure of it.” Kiyoshi looked back down at the floor. He loosened himself from the wall, but he still was tired of this mess. Ivalyn had gone quiet for a brief second, but then she said something that surprised Kiyoshi once again, “Whenever you see Luke, your tattoo burns doesn’t it?” Kiyoshi’s head snapped up.
“Yeah…” Kiyoshi answered, his voice trailing off.
“Mine did, too,” Ivalyn answered, “at first, with Teo, but after a few times it’ll stop burning. It’ll still glow, but you’ll soon stop feeling it for you’ll be used to it. I’m sure you already are. When we met you, you didn’t wince from pain when Luke entered the room.” It grew quiet again. Kiyoshi couldn’t help but stare at Ivalyn’s sweet smile. She seemed so much softer, nicer then the other immortals within Luke’s group. Kiyoshi felt safe near her. He felt warm and welcome. Finally, after Ivalyn finishes speaking Kiyoshi spoke in a soft whisper.
“Take me to him,” Ivalyn’s smile grew three times wider.
“Beg pardon?” Ivalyn asked this, trying to keep from doing a victory dance.
“I’ll see him, okay,” Kiyoshi wiped his tears, then, standing tall in front of Ivalyn, “I’ll see him.” Ivalyn let a soft sigh escape her lips as she closed her eyes for a moment of gladness.
“Good to hear,” the window opened, then, letting a sharp gust of wind fly into the apartment. Ivalyn took hold of Kiyoshi; “Hold on tightly to me,” Kiyoshi did as told, wrapping his arms tightly around Ivalyn’s body, “Here we go.” Kiyoshi watched, once again, as he was flung out of his bedroom window. However, at least this time his neither eyes nor mouth were kept shut.
--
“Have you seen Ivalyn? Have you seen Ivalyn? God damn it has anyone seen Ivalyn,” Teo was growing frustrated. His puppet hadn’t been back all day and he was beginning to grow worried. Chen was sitting in a shadowed corner and the other immortals were just hanging around like they usually do.
“Sorry Teo,” Jewels answered while pushing back her purple curls, “But I don’t think any of us have seen her all day.” Teo let out a low growl. He felt like ripping out his hair, but then a door opened and Teo turned with widened eyes.
“Ivalyn,” Teo nearly fell over in anger at the sight of Luke, not Ivalyn, immerging from the doorway, “Luke, have you seen Ivalyn?”
“Ivalyn…” Luke repeated in a questionable state.
“Yeah,” Teo said, his arms widened on the sides, “She left this morning to do something and she hasn’t been back all day. Ugh, has anyone seen Ivalyn?”
“Don’t worry my puppet,” Ivalyn spoke from a shadowed secret doorway, “I’m here.” Teo let out an agitated growl. He turned towards his puppet, rushed over and gave her a hug.
“Where’ve you been all day,” Teo cried, “I was really starting to freak out!”
“He already made it there,” snickered a green-haired male immortal. The other immortals giggled with the man’s joke.
“Well,” Ivalyn smiled at her immortal group, but her eyes locked with Luke’s, “I had to go and do a small errand. I’m back now, though, and I brought somebody with me.” Ivalyn turned to the shadowed hallway. All immortals watched as Kiyoshi slowly came out from the darkness. He looked less nervous then before. Everyone’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. Luke’s expression was the most priceless of all. He couldn’t believe his eyes. Neither could Chen, who glared angrily from her sitting corner. Ivalyn motioned for Kiyoshi to come over to her. He did so. “He came to talk with you,” Ivalyn giggled, “Luke.” Luke’s whole body stiffened. He was very angry, yet he was sort of glad to see his puppet was back. Turning towards the entranceway to go to his bedroom chamber, Luke slowly began to head for it. Kiyoshi turned to Ivalyn, who only gestured for Kiyoshi to follow Luke. Kiyoshi was nervous, but he did so and silently followed Luke away from everyone else. Once the two left, Jewels let out a hysterical group of giggles, which startled the other immortal members.
“Wow,” Jewels shook her head at Ivalyn, her face was glowing, “I cannot believe that you went and actually brought the boy back! Ivalyn, I think you’re the bravest of us all.” Chen gave off an irritating grunt, then, and vanished from the room.
“Man,” spoke the green haired immortal again, “Luke’s going to kill you.”
“Gil’s right,” Teo turned to his puppet, bringing her into his arms, “Luke’s going to kill you, but he’ll have to get past me.”
“I don’t know,” Ivalyn whispered into Teo’s ear, “I see Luke thanking me, not killing me.”
“Fuck Ivalyn,” Teo didn’t even care about his language use, “I hope you’re right.”
--
Kiyoshi followed behind Luke in a swift manner. Though Luke was walking, it seemed as if he was just fast-walking and Kiyoshi had to keep up. But as they headed for Luke’s bedroom chamber, Kiyoshi stayed quiet. He didn’t want to say anything until they were both privately sealed within the bedroom.
Soon the two had made it to the bedroom. Luke placed his hand on the golden doorknob, and then turned it and the door creaked open. Luke headed in, but soon turned to face Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi paused in his walk and watched as Luke motioned for Kiyoshi to go in first. Swallowing a huge clump in his throat, Kiyoshi entered the room. Behind Kiyoshi, Luke shut the door and just stood by it. The two men stood facing each other after two days of both feeling a stinging pain. Neither knew where to begin, but Kiyoshi remembered Ivalyn’s soft words, so he spoke first:
“Um,” Kiyoshi’s voice was so low and shaky, but Luke could hear him just fine, “Ivalyn told me that we, we should…” Kiyoshi let out a soft moan. This was harder then he expected it would be, “That we should talk.”
“So talk,” Luke whispered back, only his voice was harsher sounding. This made Kiyoshi’s body shake ever harder.
“I,” Kiyoshi began, his voice trembling, “I want to ask a question. Why,” Kiyoshi’s hands have formed into fists, “Why did you, why did you hurt, hurt me?” Luke felt his body stiffen once again. Kiyoshi was telling the truth. He wasn’t just following what Ivalyn thought would be best. Luke stayed silent, thinking of what to say.
“I don’t know,” Luke finally spat out, moving past Kiyoshi and over to his mirror. He glanced in it; glanced at Kiyoshi’s back in the mirror.
“Don’t know,” Kiyoshi shivered, “That’s not an answer. There has to be a reason why you hurt me.” Kiyoshi felt himself growing braver, “Ivalyn, she healed my arm, as you can see. Told me that you could’ve healed it all along, but you never did.” Wind blew through the window, making a ghostly howl. Luke kept staring into the mirror, still unsure of what to say, “Why,” Kiyoshi then asked, making Luke lift his head, “Why did you not heal my arm? Why did you rape me?”
“I didn’t rape you,” Luke suddenly spoke, turning to face Kiyoshi’s back, but soon Kiyoshi turned to face him, “I did what I had to do. You’re my puppet.” Kiyoshi let his tears fall. Crying in front of these immortals no longer bothered him.
“I,” Kiyoshi began to cry loudly, “I hate you.” Luke’s face stayed looking the same, but inside, for some reason Luke felt hurt, “I hate you,” Kiyoshi cried again. Then, before Luke had a chance to blink Kiyoshi was racing towards him, hitting him on the chest, “I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!” Kiyoshi kept repeating his words as he pounded Luke’s chest. Luke kept still, but before Luke knew it he was feeling a burning on his chest. This kid was actually hurting him. Luke grabbed the boy’s arms, then, making Kiyoshi gasp in terror. The twos’ eyes locked, their faces were so close to one another, they could feel one another’s breath finding its way onto their skin. Kiyoshi stared deeply into Luke’s dark eyes. They looked sad, empty; lonely. As Luke looked into Kiyoshi’s blue, watery eyes, he saw the same thing; loneliness. Letting a little whine escape his lips, Kiyoshi let off a few sniffs as Luke held him close, “I hate you…” Kiyoshi whispered, his voice sounding so tired. Luke licked his lips, and then moved his face closer to Kiyoshi’s.
“I hate you, too,” whispered Luke. Then, something magical happened. Without thinking anything of it, Luke gently placed his wet lips over Kiyoshi’s. He could taste the salty tears that Kiyoshi had cried. Kiyoshi was surprised by the gentleness of the soft kiss, so, as his tears fell from his cheeks, Kiyoshi deepened the kiss, opening his mouth to allow Luke to enter. Luke entered his sweet tongue into Kiyoshi’s small mouth, happily excepting the offer. Soon, the kiss broke, leaving the two men gasping deeply. The two men stared at one another, then, feeling something neither of them has ever felt before. The two men moved their lips towards each other’s again, but not before each whispering one very interesting word:
“Destiny…”
--
Chen let the silky red robe slip from her body. She moved over to the silky bed, and laid on it. Chen was completely nude and smiled as a shadowy figure came into view. The figure let off a very familiar hackling laugh before saying:
“Chen, you look as beautiful as you did last time,” the shadow moved into the light; his dark eyes didn’t glow near as much as his silvery hair, “Are you ready?” Chen slowly began to rub her breast, and then she moved her hands down between her thighs.
“I’m always ready for you,” Chen then said sexily, “My dear Master Ra.”
