Chapter 9

Faith slowly came awake streching her body out. She ached from head to toe and couldn’t figure out why. She laid there with her eyes closed for a long moment. Suddenly it all came back to her in a tornado of thoughts and memories. They had fought the Changelings. Margret was dead and Sin’s house was nothing but a ash.
Then who’s bed am I in? She let her eyes flutter open, taking a few seconds for her eye sight to clear. The young girl that Sin had seemed to care a lot for was sitting in front of her on the bed with a big proud smile on her face. Zackery sat in a chair next to the bedside with a tray of food.
“Are you hungry, Faith?” Zackery asked. Faith turned to him with a weak smile.
“Starved.” She admitted. Pearl grabbed the bed tray and set it down in front of Faith while Zackery helped arrange pillows so she was propped up so she could eat. They all sat in silence as she scarfed the food down barely breathing in the process. They had just made her chicken noodle soup and a tuna fish sandwich, but she would had said it was the greatest thing she had ever tasted.
“I knew she would be hungry after sleeping for three days.” Pearl told Zackery, proud of herself. Zackery rolled his eyes at the young girl.
“You were right, your highness.” Pearl beamed. Zackery couldn’t stop the tilted of the corner of his mouth, but it quickly disappeared. He took the empty tray from in front of Faith.
“I slept that long?” Faith asked devastated.
“Yeah, the poison really took a toll of your body. It had to produce all the red blood cells all over again.”
“You were as good as dead. If it hadn’t been for Pearl’s healing you would have been done for.” Zackery added. The little girl blushed at the praise. Zackery ruffled her hair.
“Stop it, Zacky.” She whined.
“Don’t call me that unless you want to be tickled to death.” He growled at her putting his hands up in the form of claws. Pearl squealed and jumped off the bed. She smiled at him.
“Then don’t irriate me.” She shot back. Faith couldn’t help but laugh at the young witty girl. She was quick and Faith had a felling the girl had to deal with this men a lot. Zackery shot a wink at Faith while keeping his attention on Pearl.
“Why don’t you make yourself useful and take the dishes in the kitchen and wash them.” Pearl stuck her tongue at him, but did as he said. Zackery watched her go and didn’t turn to Faith until the door clicked shut.
“Who is she?” Zackery let a small smile grace his lips.
“She’s Sin’s adopted daughter.” Faith looked surprised. “Her parents were good aquantiances of Sin. They were on the run from some bad people and scared for their one year old daughter’s life. One evening Pearl’s mother came to Sin in tears. Her husband had sacrificed his life so his wife and daughter could escape. She told Sin to take Pearl. She begged him. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to out smart these people if she had a baby she had to keep safe. Sin told her no and was about to leave when the women grabbed his hand. She told him about Pearl’s powers and in the end Sin decided he would do it for the child. Sin had Margret raise her until she was seven years old and then sent her to a boarding school close to here. Pearl usually got to come visit him at the end of each month for a week.”
“So she’s a witch too.” Faith said in awe. She had convinced herself she was the only one. That her bloodline alone produced witches.
“Yeah but she’s not as powerful as you. She can only do a certain things. Where as you are capable of doing a lot.” Faith couldn’t believe it. She was thrilled to know there were more people like her.
“Where’s Sin?” She asked suddenly. Zackery looked away uncomfortably.
“He’s not here.”
“Where is he?” She asked slowly watching him closely.
“Well... he’s...” Pearl came back into the room at a jog and pounced on to the bed saving Zackery from answering.
“I’m so glad you’re up. I’ve never met anyone with powers similar to mine. We can also have girl talks and hang out together. I’m so excitied.” Zackery’s cell phone went off in his pocket. He got up and pulled it out. He shot a glance at Faith as he answered it, heading out of the room.
“Pearl, I wanted to thank you for saving my life. That was a very brave thing of you to do. I’m in your debt.”
“It was the least I could do since you put your life on the line with the Changelings. But I could use a good friend if you would be willing. I don’t have any of those except for Zackery, but he’s more like a brother.” Pearl looked almost upset. Faith gave her a friendly smile and lightly grabbed her hand.
“I would love to be your friend. When I was your age I didn’t have very many friend’s either. I still don’t have very many. I am different from everyone else, so they didn’t want to play with me.” She told Pearl trying to make her feel better and know she wasn’t alone.
“Yeah, she’s up you want to talk to her? Okay.” Zackery’s voice filled the room through the open door as he made his way back. He came to Faith holding out the phone to her. “It’s Sin.” Faith yanked the phone from him and started talking before she even got the phone to her ear.
“Why aren’t you here? How dare you leave me here. I don’t even know this vampire. I can’t believe you would be so selfish...” Faith sat there gaping and then she growled low in her throat. “He hung up on me. The bastard hung up on me. How dare he?” Zackery was trying not to laugh as he took the phone back. It rang again and he chuckled.
“It’s for you.” He said with laughter dancing in his bluish violet eyes. She made a face at him and took it back.
“Are you done?” Sin’s irritated voice asked on the other line. She huffed at him.
“Yes.”
“Good. I would have really hated to leave you there without an explaintion.” Faith glanced at Zackery and he nodded.
“Let’s give her some privacy Pearl.” He grabbed the little girl’s hand and led her out of the room.
“I left you there because you needed the rest and you’d be safe. I had things I had to do and I couldn’t wait for you to take three days to wake up.”
“But you...”
“I’ll hang up on you again.” She closed her mouth instantly. “I’m sorry, but I need you strong when we confront Hatred again.”
“I want to be with you though.” She hated herself for admitting that to him, but she couldn’t stop herself.
“I want to be with you too. But I can’t. We are on a lead as too were to find the pack, so be a good kitten and wait for me.” She could hear the smile in his voice. She was being serious and the stupid man was teasing her.
“I’m not a child, Sin.” She grumbled.
“No, you’re not. You are a gorgeous sexy woman, that has me walking around hard constantly.” Faith sat there speechless as his husky seductive voice washed over her nerves, making her shiver in anticipation.
“Oh.” She breathed and an image of him gloriously naked strutting around with a massive hard on because of her made her instantly wet.
“I want you even now as we speak.” He said in a thick voice bring out a slight Scottish accent. She swallowed hard.
“Then come get me.” He growled a deep feral sound and she had to stop herself from moaning.
“Don’t tempt me kitten. You may just get what you ask for. I’ll see you soon.” The line went dead. Faith let out a sound of irritation and threw the cell phone as hard as possible. In a blink of an eye, Zackery was grabbing the phone in mid air before it hit the wall.
“I know he can be an ass, but will you refrain from breaking stuff, especially MY stuff.” Pearl giggled from the doorway.
“I’m sorry, I just don’t know what is wrong with me. I get so mad when he’s around. He’s getting inside my skin and I can’t get him out.”
“You love him.” Zackery shot over his shoulder as he walked out of the room. “It’s to be expected.”
“I do not.” Faith’s voice followed him loudly through the door.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sin sat at the table surrounded by all his bothers, but Zackery. They had not been able to locate the where about of the Changelings. Sin was starting to get agitated. He knew they were somewhere near but he couldn’t understand how they could not find out where.
He wanted to know what was going on. The were wolves must have an inside person, there was no other way they could know where the covens were, but who was a whole different issue.
They had to find out who it was though, because he was not going to play this game anymore. He couldn’t afford to lose anymore of his clan. He was going to need as many as possible when he destroys the Changelings and he didn’t really want to go out and transform mortals into vampires. They would have to be trained and live hundreds of years to be strong enough for combat.
It was about two and a half hours until sunrise and they were all restless. Sin got up and moved to the desk at the back wall. He placed his hands down on the surface and closed his eyes, trying to clear his thoughts.
“My laird, it’s Angel. She wants to speak with you. She says she has valuable info on the Changelings whereabouts.” Hayden was by the door when Sin looked up.
“Send her in.” Sin made his way back to the table and sat down. Angel came strutting in with her wavy bleach blond hair down and in her flimsy clothes. She had a smug smile gracing her pouty red lips. Sauntering her way up to Sin’s side and leaned down to whisper in his ear making a point to brush her lips against it.
“I missed you, my laird. Could we speak in private?” She purred. He stiffened his back and turned to glare at her.
“My council needs to hear what you have to day so say it or leave.” She pouted, but went to take a seat at Zackery’s spot.
“I know where the Changelings are holding their meetings.” She stated.
“How do you know this?” Wulf demanded. She let a mocking smile touch her lips.
“Because I do. I was walking the swamp by the old abandon werehouse on the west side of town when I saw something out of the ordinary. I took flight and stayed in the shadows of the trees to watch. Several Changelings waded through the swamp and went inside. They were gathering for something so I decide the only way to find out was to find a way to get closer.” She took her time looking at each man carefully.
“Go on.” Sin growled, growing irritated with her.
“They know where each of you are residing and they are going to destroy your homes until they find the witch.”
“When is the next meeting?” She looked over at him with a sly smile.
“Two days from tonight. They’re making preperations to go after Rage’s house. The meeting is at seven o’ clock pm and then they go from there.”
“I want you to take up there now.”
“But I haven’t fed yet.” Sin rose and moved to her offering his wrist.
“Take what you need and let’s go.” She felt like she won a part of Sin refused to give to anyone but his brothers. “Leave us.” He snapped to his counsil. Angel stood holding his arm. As soon as the last man was out the door Angel was on him, sinking her fangs into his taunt neck. He grunted with the impact of her neck. He grunted from the impact of her weight thrown against his body.
He tried to push her off him, but with her arms tight bands and her teeth latched so deep into his flesh, he knew he couldn’t without ripping his own throat out. He hated himself for walking into this situation. He should have known Angel would take advantage of his offer. He felt his body grow heavy and she slowly pulled away. Licking the wound, she pulled away with a victourious smile on her sinful lips.
She sucked at his earlobe. He couldn’t fight her, his strength was gone. It would take him a good fifteen minutes before he could recouperate. She rubbed her body suggestively against him. Her hand straying down to the front of his pants.
“Your human could never do this with you my laird, so why do you want her so?”
“Because she’s not a slut!” He grounded out, trying to stop his body from reacting to her touch. He watched her face flush with anger. She was determined to prove her point. She squeezed his hard length through his pants and felt it twitch in acknowledgment. She purred in satisfaction.
“Well, your body still wants me.”
“You know it’s a natural reaction from a guy. You’ve been with enough of them.” She squeezed him unnessarily hard and he yelped.
“Why are you being so mean, my laird? You have never treated me with such disrespect before.” Sin willed his body to react, gaining all the energy he could.
He grabbed her by the throat and slammed her up against the closet wall. Her feet not even touching the ground. He pressed his hard body against her and growled.
“I’ve about had it with you. I’m done with you. I don’t even remember why I even wanted you, but I don’t anymore. So stop throwing yourself at me and leave Faith alone. Got it?” A grunt came from her enclosed throat and she tried to nod. She hadn’t expected him to recover so quickly. She had underestimated him.
He let her go and she crumbled to the floor, gasping for air. She knew he could have killed her with a flick of his wrist if he had wanted too. Angel wondered if she was making a grave mistake. She needed to watch her step from here on out.
“Let’s go.” He yanked her up and hauled her out of the room, dragging her into the night club. His brother’s were huddled by the door leading outside, when they saw him moving toward them with Angel stumbling behind him, they knew she had pushed him to anger. They didn’t care though, the women, no she was more like a girl, needed to be taught a lesson.
“Are we ready?” Hayden asked.
“Yes, so let’s fly.” Sin stumbled slightly and Wulf reached out to help him.
“Are you okay?” Sin nodded, glaring over at Angel. Wulf raised an eyebrow but didn’t say another word. Angel was smiling smugly, pulling away from Sin. She was the first out of the club with the men following in tow. They took flight, following her through the night.
The air was warm and humid. No moon filled sky tonight but stars littering the night. They flew over the city lights, then slowly the swamp came into view under them. It was pitch black and it wasn’t for their excellent night vision, they wouldn’t have been able to see anything. Afterr a couple of minutes, the abondom warehouse came into their line of vision. They formed a circle around it. No noise filled the swamp tonight. Just an eerie silence that seemed to make your skin crawl.
“What do you think?” Wulf asked softly.
“I’m surprised that the Changelings would choose this location. But it is the perfect spot considering how much the Changelings hate the swamp. We would have never thought about it. Damn, Hatred you son of a bitch, maybe you’re smarter than I thought.” Sin looked over at Angel for a long moment. She was listening intently to the discussion the brothers were having. “ Thank you for your help Angel, you can go now.”
“But…” She was cut off sharply.
“Do you dare to insult your Prince by arguing, wench?” Rage hissed floating toward her. He had always hated Angel since she first bewitched Sin into her bed. He’d been dying for an excuse to rip her undead heart straight out of her cold chest. She shrank away in fear and he smiled an evil smile of pure satisfaction. At least the slut wasn’t stupid, he thought. He started to draw his blade but Danger’s hand on his forearm stopped him.
Angel took a look around one last time, then fled quickly into the night. Rage muttered something under his breath that sounded suspiously like ‘dumb bitch’ and sheathed his blade. He turned his attention back to Sin, who raised an eyebrow at him. He just gave his Prince a rugged smile and shrugged his shoulders.
“What do you have planned?” Danger asked. Sin thought about it for a long moment.
“I think we will have won this battle.” A smile slow spread across his lips. “Danger and Rage I want you two to keep out here and I want a report whenever something weird happens. Hayden, Gabriel, and Talon I want you guys to prepare for battle. We need weapons, as many vampires as you can round up and stratigies. Wulf and I are going to prepare Faith for her confirtation,”
“Maybe we should try to capture Hatred instead of throwing Faith into the middle of the chaos. Last time didn’t turn out to well.” Wulf advised, that made Sin pause. There was a long silence where everyone waited for their Prince to come to a decision.
“You’re right, but we may not be able to capture him and this may be our only chance to get him.” Wulf nodded in understanding, but didn’t say anything else.
“He’s going to be well guarded.” Hayden said softly next to Rage.
“I agree. Let me talk to Zackery and see what we can do. He may be able to come up with some new contraption that could help us.”
“Very well my laird.” Hayden turned to scan the warehouse.
“For now, my brothers we shall rest. Go feed and do what you need to do to prepare.”

Faith was sitting on the black leather pose couch when Zackery came through the front door. She turned to look at him and noticed his cheeks were slightly flushed. He had a shit-eating grin on his face that clearly stated that he was well satisfied.
She was furious with him. He got to go out and she had to stay in his bachelor pad twitching her thumps in boredom. She rose to her feet and was going to go back to the bedroom when was suddenly next to her.
“Where are you running off too?” She glared at him.
“The bedroom.” She snapped, yanking her arm away from him. He gave her a gorgeous smile and pushed his hand through his dirty blond hair, the streaks of auburn catching her eye as he raised an eyebrow at her. She hated him even more for being so charmingly handsome.
“Would you like company?” He jaw dropped in stunned awe. “Yeah, all the girls give me that reaction.” The arrogance rolling off him was tangible. She snapped her mouth closed anger flashing in her stormy hazel eyes.
“You’re a conceited womanizer and no I don’t want your company pig.” He stepped forward backing her against the wall next to the couch. She packed up to press her back flush against the flat surface.
She realized he was trying to intimidate her. She squared her shoulders and tilted her chin at an angle of defiance. She would not show him any fear. She made eye contact with him and held it. He was inches away from her face and looking mighty content with himself.
Well, she was going to wipe that look clean off his face if it killed chest and raised a slim eyebrow at him in inquire. He moved his head to the side slightly in interest. He knew that whatever came out of this women’s mouth was going to be worth hearing.
She was extremely witty, having the best comebacks that were as sharp as a knife. He knew why Sin was so hung up on her. She was perfect for his Prince. She would keep Sin in line and out of trouble. Maybe even bring his ego down a few notches.
“You think your God’s gift to women. Well, you have another thing coming to you Mr. Egotistical cow.”
“Cow?” He said in surprise. Well, that was a first. She ignored him and continued with her rant.
“You are not. I don’t find you the least bit attractive, but extremely annoying. You act like a five year old boy that likes to bully young girls around so he can feel good about himself. So you need to take a step back and get out of my space or I’m going to knee you so hard in the balls you’ll be walking around soprano for a month, you choice. But I warn you, make it quick because my patience is running thin.” He couldn’t help, but laugh out loud.
“You have a tongue like a whip, women.” He moved away from her, sitting in his black leather recliner. “But it’s not me that you have to worry about, it’s Sin. So run along and do what you do.” He dismissed her without another word. She was irrated but thankful. Her body was growing weary from being up all night hoping Sin would come back and rescue her from this fool he called a ‘brother’.
She left the room heading for the bedroom that she was occupying. She shut the door gently behind her and made her way over to the dresser. A radio sat on top. She switched the on switch and found a good station.
“Now we have a new single by Star Lucuna. This single has been on high demand since she released it and if I say so myself this women puts a spell on you with just her beautiful voice. Here’s in love with a ghost.” Faith decided this song fit her life at the exact moment. She found herself humming along at first as she brushed her hair out.
Faith couldn’t help but let the words flow over her and into her heart. It’s exactly how she felt whenever Sin was around her. She felt addicted to him. It scared her so much yet excitied her. She wanted him so much that it hurt before she knew what she was doing she was singing along.
She lifted the brush to her mouth, using it as if it was her microphone and swayed her hips in time to the music. She felt the heat of her power rising in her body. Her feelings intensifying with each beat of the song. She closed her eyes letting the music caress her.

Sin had heard Faith’s angelic voice from the hall as he closed the front door of Zackery’s house. When he made his way toward the bedroom door and opened it he was not prepared for the sight that greeted him. His jaw dropped in a stunned silence.
Faith was surrounded by a light red energy. Her black hair was down in silky curls, blowing around her oval face. She was putting her soul into the lyrics as each word left her mouth Sin’s soul connected with her in yearning. He wanted this women with more that his heart. He wanted her with his whole being. He needed to have her.

Faith felt her feet no longer touch the floor. She knew that she was invoking a strong power within herself, but couldn’t bring herself to stop. The energy flowing through her had all her nerves ultra sensitive. It felt so good, she was giddy from the power of it.

Sin watched not daring to move a muscle in fear of being discovered. He was drawn so taunt. He wanted to touch her so bad. He wanted to touch her so bad. He could tell that Faith was enjoying herself. Her cheeks were flushed with pleasure so intense that it was crashing into his body in a soft demand to be fondled. God help him, but he had to have her… tonight.

Faith let herself fall on to the bed on her back. Her whole body was pounding with the need to be touched. She withered suggestively on the bed as her hands ran over her breast down her stomach to her thighs. Slowly they moved back up her body, running along the inside of her thighs. Lightly she brushed against the junction between her legs back up her stomach to her breast.
Her right hand rested there as her left one continued upwards to the side of her face to bury in her hair. Her body was alive with heat, arching as if some invisible lover took a nipple into his mouth, suckling softly. She was so wet she was dripping.

Sin was in so much trouble. His eyes intense with lust and desire as he watched Faith fondle herself in the most sexiest way. The ache between his legs hurt so bad that he was forced to rearranging his dick inside his pants to get more comfortable even though it was not much relief.
Her needed to be inside her to cure the pain. His body was screaming for relief of the tension. He wanted to be the one to touch her, taste her, make love to her all night long. He needed to get her out of his blood. She was poison that spread through his body until he was on fire. He was convinced that to cure himself he needed to have her one time, then he’d be himself. Or at least he hopped.

Fatih fell limp on the bed her power slowly fading away. She stared at the ceiling wishing that she had Sin here. Deep down inside she wanted to be with him. She couldn’t hide it from herself anymore.
She heard something move, outside the room. She propped herself up expecting to see Pearl, but instead there stood six and a half feet of pure seduction. Her heart stopped in her chest and her jaw dropped at the sight of Sin. A light flush slowly spread across her cheeks. He stared at her with dark intense blue eyes, his muscles tense and he was obviously aroused.
He slowly entered her room and a shiver of anticipation slide over her body. He looked like an ancient God in all his male glory as he sauntered toward her slowly. She moved further up the bed until she was pressed against the headboard.
“Sin.” Faith breathed out as Pearl screamed it through the small place. Her tiny feet sounded through the hall as she ran into the room at full speed bursting through the door throwing herself into Sin’s strong arms. A feeling of disappointment went through her as she looked away from Sin’s intense gaze. She wanted him to drag her into his arms and hold her tight just as he was doing to Pearl. She was actually jealous of the young girl. What was coming over her? She had never reacted like this. She was ashamed of herself.
Sin spun around to catch the leaping girl securely in his strong arms. Pearl wrapped her tiny arms around his neck as she hugged him furiously. He kissed the top of Pearl head as he caught Faith’s eyes over the top. He mouthed the word ‘later’ then left with the young girl in his arms.
She watched after him stunned for a couple of mintues. Her heart was still pounding uncontrollably. He would have kissed her right then and there. The fierce look on his face told her so. If Pearl hadn’t came rushing in the room there was no telling what would have happened between them. She didn’t know if she should be relieved or upset. She didn’t know if is she was quite ready to go down that road with him. All she knew though was she had been craving his kiss since the last time he had taken her in his arms.
She slid off the bed and straightened her clothes. Embarrasment washed over her for a brief moment. Sin had been watching her practically molest herself on the bed. She couldn’t believe herself. She had been overwhelmed with such an overcoming urge to let the emotions she felt loose and run free with them. Who ever Star Lucuna was she had a powerful voice and something didn’t seem quite right about her.
She found herself wondering into the living room when she came out of her thoughts. Sin sat on the couch with Pearl sitting on his lap, cuddling in his chest. She could telling by the way the Pearl told him about the past couple of days and as he lightly stroked her brown hair, responding at the right time with sincere words of interest, that Sin was an awesome parental figure to any child. Making Faith’s heart ache, because she really wanted kids especially with Sin. She was so confused on what she was feeling deep down in her soul but she was confident that it could easily be love.
Zackery came sweeping into the living room from the kitchen with two steaming hot coffee mugs. He handed one to Pearl and she took the other one from him as he held it out to her. She nodded her thanks as she went to take a small sip. The warm chocolatly taste slid down her throat and she purred in contentment as her body started to warm up.
“Sin, it’s close to time for us to rest.” Zackery yawned out as he made his way to sit in the recliner next to the wall of windows. Sin nodded in response as he lightly placed a kiss on Pearl’s forehead.
“I’ll sleep out here with Pearl if you want to take my bed for the night so you get a good rest.” Faith stared in her cup so she didn’t have to see anyone’s response to her suggestion. Sin looked at her for a long moment then turned to Pearl.
“Hey kid, will you go sleep in Zackery’s room tonight? Faith and I need to talk alone about some serious matters. I will spend some time with you tomorrow okay?” Pearl nodded against his chest, then got up and held out her hand to Zackery. He took it and they made their way out of the room. As soon as they were out of sight Sin turned to her. He rose to his feet as he made a heavy sigh of exhaustion.
“I really think you should…” She fell silent to the touch of his finger against her lips.
“Don’t think, just follow me.” She wanted to protest, but thought better of it. They were both tired and neither one of them really didn’t need a debate about meaningless stuff. She followed him silently into the bedroom she had been using the past couple of days. He shut the door soundlessly. He turned and started to stumble a little and caught himself before he fell to the floor. She felt bad for him it was obvious that he was close to collapsing and never getting up for a good twenty-four hours. He hit a switch on the wall and the solid blinds came down cutting out any of the morning sunrise.
She used her mind to light a candle that was placed in a candleholder next to the bed, sitting on the bedside table and a soft glow filled the dark bedroom. He sat down on the bed as she watched next to the closest doors at the foot of the bed. He pulled off his boots off and let them fall to the floor with a heavy thud not caring where they landed. His shirt followed closely after landing on top of his discarded boots. She swallowed audibly as she scanned his toned chest to his washboard stomach and the thin line of hair that started just under his navel disappearing under the band of his pants.
He barely made it to his feet to turn down the bed and the slipped in giving a sigh of pure contentment. His eyes closed and his breathing leveling out to a slow intake and exhale. Then she was staring into his tired blue eyes. He watched her for a silent moment taking her in, making her slightly squirmish.
“Come lay with me Faith.” He spoke it softly with a husky undertone that made a shiver slid down her spine. She felt his needy plea clear into her soul and she knew she wouldn’t deny him even if she wanted too. His voice was so much like a lover’s caress sliding over her body in such a seductive way that she found herself moving slowly toward the opposite side of the bed.
“Sin, I don’t know…” She said quietly.
“Please. I just need to feel you close for tonight. I just need to hold you.” The yearning in his voice was her undoing. Her heart fluttered in her chest. She knew she would never be able to say no to him. He looked so worn out and just fragile. Which is hard to explain why, because he never seemed like the fragile type. She set her cup down on the other night stand and slipped in next to him.
Before she had even laid down fully he was wrapping his arms around her and pulling her tightly against his chest. He rubbed his face in her hair taking a deep breath trying to suffocate in the scent of her. She shivered in his arms from the pleasure of the action and how it made her feel. She closed her eyes tightly and buried her face in his chest.
“You smell so good. Almost like vinalla and roses.” His hand moved to rest on her breast as his other one moved to rest on the inside of her thigh. She bit her bottom lip to stop from moaning. It felt so good to be wrapped up safe in his strong arms. She felt so protected and needed that she found herself close to tears. She was in trouble because what she felt right now was most definetly love.
She never wanted to leave. She wanted to stay this way for enternity. She knew down in her heart though that that was not possible. As soon as this battle was over so would be her and Sin’s weird relationship that had been forming between them in the last couple of weeks. Then she would be left alone all over again with no one left in her life.
She felt Sin’s body go lax against hers and she knew he now slept. He had been more tired then she thought it hadn’t even been five minutes yet and he was out like a light. She willed the candle to extinguish in her mind and the fell into darkness. She let sleep slowly creep in on her. She could have sworn she heard whispered in her mind the word, ‘mine’.
