EPISODE 10

EPISODE 10

Two weeks had passed and Amanda was on her grind trying to get the last arrangements for her party. She called everyone up and reminded them. She called the place that allowed her to have her party and made sure that they knew she would be there early the next day to decorate. She was so stressed out from everything. The conversation she had with the woman from her mother’s phone led to nothing. The woman did not reveal any information to her. The only thing going right in her life at the moment was she and Jordan. They were still only talking but she knew that eventually he would ask her to be his girlfriend. She felt that connection with him.
“Listen to me please Brian. I really need your help tomorrow to decorate. I am so stressed out right now.” Amanda shouted as she walked down the street pass roaring cars.
“I will be there to help you I promise that. Don’t worry. This will be the biggest Christmas party you ever threw.”
“Will Liam be coming?” Brian took the phone off his ear and looked at it in shock.
“I didn’t think of that. He isn’t part of the clique.” Brian hadn’t really talked to Liam that much recently. He was busy with his last Christmas shopping and being with Kimberly.
“Well from what I heard from Carl he is your secret admirer. He has a huge crush on you.” Amanda laughed.
“He does not like me okay. I am sick of hearing that from people. Every time I talk to Carl he brings that shit up. You would shut up if you want me to help you tomorrow.” Brian was mad at the though of Liam liking him It made him mad having his friends think that.
“All right I’m sorry damn. So call me later tonight. I have to finish getting the last stuff for the party. Later.” She hung up.

Brian walked down the street. He was on his way to see Kimberly. He looked at his phone and he came up with an idea. He dialed and waited for that voice to answer.
“Hey there. I was wondering if we could chill today. I have to talk to you about something.” Brian smiled.

“Look Mr. Black I have to go already my man is coming over to my house.” Kimberly told her father’s drug dealer.
“Listen princess you still have a few minutes to spare.” He passed Kimberly a tray, which contained white powder on it. She looked at it and laughed.
“You have to be fucking kidding me. Do I look like a coke head to you?” Mr. Black just smiled at her.
“You look like a girl that is hiding who she really is. Trust me I can tell when someone is not themselves. So what are you hiding from your friends Kimberly?” She looked at him and she felt fear. She knew that if people found out what she use to do in Virginia they would never forgive her. Especially not Brian. Kimberly was the last one to join the clique. She grew up in Virginia with her mother and father. Her mother and father divorced and she left with her father and moved to New York. That was when she met the clique.
“I’m not hiding anything from my friends. So get all of that shit out of your head. I’m leaving so later.” She slammed the door behind her.
“Please girl I can see in your eyes that you have a past. It’s all good though cause people can’t fight their dark side forever.” He put his nose to the tray and he sniffed.

Theresa finished wrapping the gifts she brought. She placed the box on the living room table and she stared at it.
“Damn my wrapping sucks.”
“Honey what are you doing?” Her mother asked her as she entered the living room. Theresa looked at her mother.
“I guess wrapping if that’s what you call that.” And she pointed at the box. Her mother picked up the box and inspected it.
“This is called TRYING to wrap.” She smiled at Theresa. “I’ll do it for you. So how is David?”
“’He’s doing okay I guess. We spoke yesterday. He’s with his mom today shopping for their last things. Christmas only being two days away they will be out all day.” Theresa felt sad. She wanted to see David so badly.
“You’ll see him tomorrow at the party. I can’t wait to go and see what she does this year.” Theresa’s mother began to wrap the box. “So what bout you honey? I know a lot has been going on since the accident.”
“What you mean mom?” Theresa looked at her confused.
“I saw the letter that David wrote you after the accident. You should have told me you were pregnant.” Theresa looked at her in shock.
“Mom that was private how could you?” Theresa stormed off. She made her way to her room. She leaned against the door and touched her stomach.
“Fuck the baby and that it’s gone. I don’t need this shit from these people. They can all go to hell.” Theresa smiled an evil smile. Then she fell on the floor.

Brian sat in Central Park and waited for is guest to arrive. He looked around at all the people that were coming from shopping. He felt like he was missing something in life. These people were all smiling and conversing with each other. People that probably didn’t even know each other.
“This is not like New York.” He heard the voice. He looked up.
“Hey Liam. What?” Brian was bout to get up when Liam stopped him and he sat down next to Brian.
“People all looking happy. This is not a regular New York scene.” Brian looked at him and he wondered if Liam did have a crush on him.
“Yeah this is all new to me to. People are usually pushing and rushing. Not today though.” Liam smiled at Brian.
“It makes me happy to see this though. I always thought that life and people were bad. I never really trusted anybody before. After my ex did what he did to me I hated the world and everyone in it. Even myself for letting him get so close to me to do that, but he now I have you as a friend. So why did you want to see me today?” Brian was amazed at him. He had come along way from the first time he met him. Maybe Brian was his rock.
“Well my friend Amanda is having a Christmas party tomorrow and she told me to invite you. So this is me inviting you.” Brian looked at him and waited for an answer.
“Sure sounds like fun.” Liam was excited Brian could hear it in his voice. Just then Brian’s phone rang. He looked at the screen and it read “KIMBERLY’S CELL.” Brian clicked the button and sent it to voicemail.
“You need to go?” Liam asked him.
“No of course not.” Brian answered him.

Amanda folded her clothes and placed them on the chair for the next day. She was getting ready to go to sleep. She picked up her phone and she called Jordan.
“Hey there sexy girl.” Jordan greeted her.
“Well hello sexy man. What are you up to?” She looked out into the hall and she saw her mother on her phone.
“Well nothing really. Watching some Television. What about you?” Amanda watched her mother as she talked. “Hello?” Jordan said into the phone.
“Oh I’m sorry. I’m getting ready for bed I have to wake up early tomorrow for my party. You better come.”
“Of course sexy. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Jordan smiled as he spoke to her. Jordan was feeling her the same she was feeling him.
“Well I just wanted to hear your voice before I go to bed. So I’ll call you tomorrow while I’m there decorating.” Amanda told him good night and they hung up. She got up from her bed and made her way to the hall. She peaked out but her mother was not there anymore. She walked into her mother’s room and she looked around. She wasn’t in there either. She then heard the shower turn on.
“Good she must be in the shower.” Amanda searched through her mother’s room. She looked through her closet. Nothing. She looked through her mother’s jewelry box. Nothing.
“Who is this woman?” Amanda was getting furious. Then she looked through the underwear and draw. She found a box. Amanda took it out and lifted the top off, there inside was a picture, a picture of a woman with long reddish hair. Slender and beautiful she was just leaning against a wall. There was something else in the picture. An arm was around the woman’s shoulder but the other person was cut out of the picture. It wasn’t her mother’s hand either it was a man’s hand. She looked through the box some more and there she found a necklace. She took out the necklace and she looked at it. She turned it around. There on the back it read:
“TO MY LOVING WIFE OF 15 YEARS. THIS WILL SHOW YOU HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.
“What the hell is going on?” Amanda put everything back the way she found it and made her way back into her room.
