Sighing, I slowly walked over to Vlad and Sara. They each gave me a sympathetic look before we all headed out into the hall way.
“How did it go,” Vlad asked as Sara gave me a bone-crushing hug. I closed my eyes for a minute before replying.
“The… bond is getting stronger. I can feel it and sometimes it’s unbearable. Vlad, I-I haven’t been able to tell Tyler yet.”
“You haven’t what,” Vlad said calmly. I flinched and stepped away from Sara. Sara looked from Vlad to me then back, clearly confused.
“Telling him he can’t see me is impossible when I’m all that he has of comfort. I’m all there is that is comforting him during nightmares, protecting him from Karsh and whoever else is with my brother, actually being there for him.”
“So you think leaving is the best idea? How do you think he’d react to that,” Vlad hissed. “Not telling someone you’re going to leave doesn’t work out for relationships, Bahri.”
“I don’t see you trying to protect anyone. Oh, I forgot, you don’t have anyone else. You can’t possible know how I feel, Vlad. Everyday the bond is growing stronger and you can’t do anything about it, or the fact that your brother is out looking for you to go back to the clan.”
“Bahri, I-”
“I don’t want to hear it,” I mumbled walking off towards the dorm. A warm hand on my arm stopped my actions. I turned around and came face to face with Sara.
“Bahri, you can’t leave Tyler. Even if you think that’ll protect him, you can’t. Do you even know what he was like after what Tyler’s Fa-Michael did to him? He wouldn’t trust anyone and still doesn’t, but for some reason he trusts you,” She said looking at me with pleading eyes.
“I don’t want to leave him, but what will he gain if he joins me? My people aren’t big on forgiving which will mean I’ll either die or Ty-Tyler will die,” I said cursing my voice as it started to crack.
“You never know. Maybe your clan wants you back to become the leader. Bahri, you have to take risks.”
“I can’t risk getting him hurt,” I said as my mask finally cracked. Tears streamed down my face as I looked away from Sara. “H-He can’t be hurt because of me.”
“And he won’t,” Sara whispered brushing away the tears. “I agree with Vlad: Tell him. When he comes to the dorm, show him his options. I know there’s another option.”
“There is,” I said gravely. Sara looked at me carefully as I sighed heavily. “Tyler and I will have to mate. It’s the only way for the bond to go stronger and for him to be protected.”
“Then what’s stopping you,” Sara whispered placing a hand on my shoulder. “You can’t tell me you don’t want to.”
“I do, really I do. Only problem is his past which is something I can’t protect him from. He still has nightmares if I’m not with him.”
“Let me give a little advice: To replace old memories, make new ones. When he has a nightmare, show him love.”
I nodded and gave her a hug before heading to the dorm. When I reached the dorm, I just sat down and stared out the window trying to think of how to tell Tyler.
The sound of Tyler’s feet outside the door brought me back to my senses. As I jumped up from the chair, Tyler rushed in and gave me a deep kiss.
“Tyler,” I whispered when we pulled away. Tyler blushed and quickly looked down at the floor.
“I missed you,” he mumbled shifting uncomfortably. Wrapping my arms around his waist, I pulled Tyler close to my chest.
“I missed you too, Tyler,” I said as Tyler wrapped his arms around my neck. Tyler wrapped his legs around my waist and brought his lips to mine.
Stumbling, I somehow made it to the bed before falling backwards with Tyler on top of me. Tyler moaned and rocked his hips causing our erections to brush.
“Tyler,” I panted when we separated. “I have to… tell you… something… important.”
“What,” he asked rolling his hips slowly. I moaned and thrust up causing him to moan.
“Please, it’s important,” I mumbled. Tyler frowned but got off of me. “What’s gotten into you?”
“I-I don’t know,” Tyler sad blushing. I smiled and brought my hand to caress his cheek.
“Tyler, I don’t know how else to tell you so I’m just going to say it: My clan sent my brother to bring me back. Tyler, I don’t want you to go with me w-when they take me.”
Tyler stared at me for a few minutes before embracing me in a hug. A single tear fell down my cheek as Tyler pulled back.
“I’m not letting you go! You’re the only one that understands me,” he whispered. We stared into each others eyes for a couple of minutes before I broke the connection.
“Tyler, you can’t come. I don’t want you to see what their going to do to me,” I argued weakly.
“I won’t let them hurt you,” Tyler mumbled. Quickly, I sat up and pulled Tyler into a hug.
“Tyler, I’m not going to get hurt. There is another way,” I said, voice trailing off.
“What’s the other option,” Tyler mumbled picking his head as he brushed a few tears away. A shiver crawled up my spine as I turned my eyes away from Tyler.
“We have to mate,” I whispered. Tyler turned my face with his hand so that I had to stare into his blue-gray eyes.
“You don’t seem that happy,” Tyler said. I tried to look away but the hand tightened.
“Tyler, I-I don’t want to hurt you,” I sighed defeated. His hand dropped and rested on my chest. “You know I want to mate with you.”
“You are so protective,” Tyler said with a small smile. “I’d tell you if you were hurting me.”
“I know,” I said before bringing my lips to Tyler’s. He gently pushed me down onto the bed, not breaking our lips, and laid on top of me.
“Bahri,” Tyler whispered when we finally separated. “I have some news for you too”
“What,” I mumbled letting my fingers rest on Tyler’s bare stomach. Tyler squirmed and pinned my hands down.
“You know how Sara and I read the book? Well, male elves can give birth,” Tyler said looking at me carefully.
