Abdel stood on the balcony, gazing off into the night sky, lost in thought. He had witnessed the ascension of Rami to that of Jin be the power of his and Kitten’s love. Rami was now the same as him, and he would no longer be able to hide his powers or true self from him.
Now there was two of them, and the unknown enemy that they were facing. There was something that he had felt, and could not place. Though, he had been away from this realm, mainly in service to his master. Their master. Now that there were two, they might be able to defeat the evil that he had felt. Perhaps when Rami returned, he would be able to shed some light on the subject. After all the questions about them were answered, as he knew Leon and Badawi knew of Rami. It would only be a matter of time before they knew of him as well.
“Abdel?” Leon peeked in. “Something on your mind?” Their ride back to the small inn was slower and they had gotten a chance to rest. With Rami off to save Kitten, they thought it best to return and wait “Or are you ...going to tell me how you knew what was happening Rami?”
“A little of both, actually,” Abdel said, stepping back into the room. “I knew what was happening because it was my duty to see that it did, in a sense. I of course did not know that their love would cause him to become Jin, as I was not informed of that part. I was just to make certain that they did fall in love. Throughout our history, there has never been a true love between a human and a Genie. Once it was seen that it was possible that it could happen, I was dispatched to make certain that it did.” He paced back and forth slightly. “Though, there appears to be something else now, a dark power that is at work. It is what affected us earlier. I say us, as I am as Rami is now, a born Jin. Which you must never reveal to any one, or I shall be forced to erase your memory of that knowledge.”
“You wound me, Abdel. She is my daughter and he will be in my family. Why would I reveal something about any one of them or you?” Leon shook his head. “I simply find it a little hard to believe that this is true. And..well. Where did she find a Genie? No offense but magic is somewhat of a myth as far as people are concerned. So do pardon if I am curious.”
“Curiosity is a good thing. Many great things are discovered because of it.” Abdel nodded. “As to how she found him, I suspect that technically you found his amulet, but she discovered its secret, more than likely unintentionally. One thing led to another, and I was dispatched to see to it that certain events unfolded, leading us to what happened earlier today. As for magic, it is not myth, but mainly forgotten thing. There are still those that delve deep into history and re-discover that knowledge, and some that have no respect for the powers they learn. Hence, the attack yesterday.”
“I see.” He still wondered why Kitten would not tell him this. But he supposed she had her reasons. “I suppose all we can do is wait for them to get ...”
“Daddy!” The voice carried on the wind.
“Back.” Blinking, Leon found him self standing in front of the palace. Abdel was also there. “Uh..”
“Hi.” Kitten giggled and waved from the balcony above. “I suppose you have a lot of questions for me?”
“That would be a really good guess, dear.” Leon shifted. “Like where we are, for one.”
Abdel nodded. “It is most fortunate to see the two of you safe,” he said. “I suppose that you will have questions as well, which will all be answered in due time. Though first I would suggest you answer your father’s questions, as he is undoubtedly most anxious to hear what has become of you.”
“Rami came and rescued me.” She laughed, being picked up by Rami from behind. “Here we come.”
Rami nodded to them both before he stepped out of the balcony. He did not fall, no. He, instead, floated down with her in his arms. She had on the purple and black Harem outfit for the moment.
“There is a problem..” Rami spoke. “Kithkin. Kitten has said that the sultan hired one to bring her to him.” He looked right at Abdel. Rami could tell he was the same now.
“I couldn’t see them. He pulled me through a solid cave wall though.” Kitten nodded and got to her feet. “And he talked using We instead of I.”
“Two of them?” Abdel asked. “If not more. Hmmm. Yes, that might explain why I was unable to detect them. I was sensing them all, and could not focus on one, as I thought it was one. Though now that I know what we face, we shall have more of an edge.”
“Um, what’s a Kithkin? I thought those were desert bandits that were after us.” Leon asked, looking at the two. “And the Sultan? As in Aziz? He kidnaped you? He is responsible for all of this?”
“He tried to give me to Bruhier. You should of seen him, daddy. He was all sweet all of the sudden. Like you deserve to be a princess and I will have no other wife but you. He was really creeping me out.” Kitten smiled. “But Rami came and got me away from him. I felt him coming, inside.”
“And I felt her once again.” He wrapped his arm around her and hugged. “She took a leap of blind faith off of the top balcony, into the air.”
“And he caught me just like I knew he would. I knew he would because I knew he was there.” Kitten leaned against him. “I was filled with this..warmth inside. It was like my senses exploded and all of the sudden, I could feel everything. I can even do this.” She held her hand up and a small puff of silver smoke appeared. The cloaked figure, that had taken her, appeared there. Well, his image anyways. “I don’t know how, but I seem to be able to use magic too.”
“A most interesting development,” Abdel said. “I was not aware that such a thing would happen, though perhaps it was not altogether unexpected. I would venture to say that in sharing your love, you have also shared a part of yourselves.”
“So, the bandits took you for their own... wants, and this Kithkin took you from them, because Aziz wanted you for his son, who wanted you as a bride?” Leon looked at everyone, making sure he was understanding everything correctly. “And he used a kithkin, whatever that is, to do this. And I take it that they aren’t a good thing.”
“This is all correct. And no, they are not good. They are the ...magic eaters. The gods destroyed the last ones, supposedly. It was many years before I was trapped by the Goddess Delilah. They can not over come the powers of Jin though.” Rami kissed the top of Kitten’s head. “ And if I am correct in my thinking..The sultan will not rest with the current situation as is.”
“He thinks Aziz will hire them to get me back.” She frowned. “Which I do not like that Idea.” Kitten hated the idea in truth. It meant that the fight wasn’t over. “But..” Smiling and nodding. “I know that Rami can handle them.”
“Yes, will shall be able to handle them more than adequately, now that we know what we are against. Though we will not be able to do so just standing here. It is only a matter of time before Aziz sends them again. We should make preparations for when they come again.”
“Right,” Leon said, cracking his knuckles. “You two handle those kithkin, and I’ll take care of Aziz… personally.”
“Then we do it on our own terms.” Rami said. “We need to get to somewhere familiar to your selves. Maybe you have a house here? Or..we can stay here. Either way, we do not want to give them the upper hand.”
“Daddy has a house by the paradise oasis.”Kitten glanced around. “But I like here, just as much. Okay, maybe a little more but that’s understandable, I think.”
Abdel nodded. “Then it is settled. Here it shall be. Perhaps we should see to making certain our ‘guests’ have a warm welcoming when they arrive. We would not want them to feel unwelcome, would we? That would be most rude of us, considering the trouble they are going through to get here.”
“Right,” Leon said. “So while you are… doing your thing, what do I do?”
“sit and wait. There is not much more that you can do at this moment,” Abdel replied.
“What about the men? Or did you let them go on their leave for now?” Kitten thought about Badawi and the others. “Probably sent them back to their homes for the moment. At least..while we take care of things.”
“We?” Rami looked at her. “You are getting no where near those creatures.”
“Rami! I can help!.” Kitten bit her bottom lip, softly. “I can. I have to do something.”
“You do enough by knowing that you are the bait they will come for. I am not putting you in any more danger than I have to.” Rami stated it clear enough. “And that is that.”
“I would have to agree,” Abdel said. “We are not sure of the extent of your new abilities, and there is not time to test them. Until we are certain, it is enough that you sit by and draw them to us.”
“And I will have no part in sending you out to face these creatures,” Leon said. “You shall be quite safe here inside. I do not like the idea of you having to do that much, being in danger in even the slightest bit.”
“Gah!” She turned, storming off to the inside. “I am not helpless!” The door slammed behind her.
“I don’t think..she is too happy.” Rami sighed. “Please..go talk to her, Leon. I..have to help Abdel prepare.”
“That would be putting it mildly,” Abdel said. He was quite sure that he would rather be preparing spells and magics against the kithkins than trying to face an angry daughter.
“Kitten,” Leon said, heading inside. “I know you aren’t helpless. But these are things that we… have no knowledge of. It is best to leave it in the hands of those that have experience at this sort of thing.”
“What do you care?” Kitten was curled up on a couch, in the living room area. “I am..I can help! I am not helpless and..well, we don’t even KNOW if they are going to attack. The Sultan could just say forget it. Those cloaked things didn’t seem like they were too eager to get out into the world anyways.”
“I know you can,” Leon replied. “And I care because you are my daughter and greatest joy in the world. I don’t know what I would do if I lost you. You may be right, and they might not. But, they might come back even more determined. And I’m sure that when the times comes, you will help out in some way that we aren’t expecting.”
“Someone is here.” Kitten stood, looking up. “There is someone here.”
“Abdel?” Rami looked up. “Do you feel that?”
The power of something godly rippled in the air. This was Rami’s magical home, there for he could sense anything coming. The same went for Kitten now. The others, he wasn’t so sure if they could or not.
Abdel didn’t have any connections to the house specifically, but he had always been a Jin, and could sense things others could not, especially in matters of magics. “I feel something, though what I am unable to determine yet.” He glanced around, trying to determine its origin and true strength.
“Okay, so is someone going to tell me what’s going on?” Leon asked. He wasn’t real fond of not knowing what was happening.
“Daddy..Something is coming.” Kitten ran past him, to the door. “Someone..” She gasped as she opened it. “There.”
From above, a light was lowering, from the ruby sun, to the ground. Rami moved backtowards the house, slowly. This was not Kithkin. In fact, he didn’t like the idea of what he THOUGH, or..WHO he thought this was.
“Delilah..” He growled. This was the one goddess that he didn’t respect. “Kitten!” Ramii held his hand to her.
“Rami..” Kitten ran p ast the light, towards him. “What’s happening?”
“Rami...darling.” The sing song voice rang out in the air. “You broke my spell over you. Bravo.” She clapped and appeared before them all. The White haired, Green eyed, goddess smiled. “Now..you can come back to the heavens and re-join my side. Just like the old days.”
Before Rami could answer, Kitten chimed in. “He isn’t interested.” She protectively stood in front of him.
Leon glanced between Rami and the newcomer. “You… two know each other?” There was definitely something between them, and Rami didn’t seemed to pleased to see her. What sort of spell had she held over him?
“The Goddess Delilah,” Abdel answered. “It is she who transformed Rami to Genie. She has a tendency to care only about what appeals to her.” He glanced at her, stoic and unmoving. “It would seem that Rami still does.”
“Too funny. Rami? You with a free Genie?” Delilah raised a brow. “You could do so much better.”
“No thank you.” Rami held Kitten close. “Leave, we have bigger problems coming. I don’t need a spoiled rotten little girl here.”
“I am a GODDESS! I say what I want. And I want Rami.” Delilah placed hands on her hips.
“A goddess? You? Oh, I’m sorry. I guess the Tacky white hair coloring threw me off.” Kitten smirked. “Oh and that Athenian greek garb, that is way yesterday. And lastly. I am HIS goddess. He doesn’t need the likes of you.” A feint hint of white aura like white was in her eyes.
“Just who are you calling tacky, Little Genie girl!?” Delilah growled.
“Hey, if the shoe fits, that’s what I do. I call them as I see them. Tacky..” She hadn’t even stopped to think about the Genie comments.
“I don’t think saying anything at this point would really convince them to stop.” Rami whispered.
“What do you mean by calling her ‘little genie girl’?” Leon asked.
“You daughter in now a genie,” Abdel answered. “She has gained some of Rami’s powers and is one of us.” He glanced at Delilah. She had never had any interest in him, and held no power over him other than being a Goddess.
“A genie? Is that true?” he glanced at Kitten. “Tell me it isn’t true.” He didn’t want to lose his daughter.
“I’ll shut your mouth with this, you little twirp.” Delilah let her hand come forward. A light bolt shot from it at the girl.
“Is that all you have?” Kitten caught it in her right hand. “Now..he said LEAVE. I am correct in “thinking that you have some education, correct?” She let the bolt fly back at Delilah, sending the woman back, soaring until she landed on the flat of her back in the grass.“Take it as a sign to leave before I get really angry!”
“Uh..” Rami blinked. “I didn’t..grant any wish to give her any powers. Don’t blame me for this. And yeah, she just attacked a goddess. I’m assuming this is what’s called a cat fight?”
“Rah!” Delilah stood, panting. Her hair was a mess. “Why you little...snipity..I will make you regret that!”
“Just try it you tacky little excuse for a goddess!” Kitten was not backing down. “Rami is MINE! You will play hell getting him from me.”
“What exactly did you grant as her wishes?” Abdel asked. “Perhaps it is an unexpected result from that, or something else.” He wasn’t certain if it were that or an unexpected result from Rami’s ascension and their shared love.
“And what exactly does it mean, though?” Leon asked. “Is she going to have to live an a lamp and grant wishes?”
“No, it does not,” A deep voice echoed throughout the room. “She is something else.”
“What the..”
Everyone mouthed. This was getting interesting

A/n: Man..the inaccuracy of wishes..if you aren't specific..they really get you..and..now we meed Delilah. Such a wonderful girl? right? Kitten doesn't think so, lol.. At least she isn't the one beinf lusted after this time!
A/N: Okay..I have one word to describe Kitten. Anger. WOuldn't you all be angry if someone was trying to come in and take your man? Us girls are elusive creatures. Our bevahvior is subject to change without notice. ANd in Kitten's case, she went off because this brat was trying to take her love. I don't know about you but I would be ripping the hair out of anyone who was trying to do that..no matter how against violance I am.
But how the plot doth thicken. Ahh..I love Plot twists.
