Elysium of Angels
Elysium of Angels
Prologue.
The weather was damp. The wind was swirling through the trees and around the crowds of children and students as they moved through the school exit of the old brick building. Following through the thick horde of bodies, the boy made his way across the parking lot and onto the path. Other children greet their parents, others piled into the school bus and parents' cars. Others were talking in anticipation to their friends.
There was no one waiting for the little boy at the end of the day. No one to take him home. No friends to talk to about what was on television and what games they will play when they get home. Oh, many parents were there of course, ready to pick up their children, but no one was waiting for the little boy with blonde hair and blue eyes of the ocean and spring sky. He didn't waste energy lifting his head and searching through the horde of adults for a familiar face. He knew what to expect. Not even a single glance was passed in his direction as he made his way through the nameless faces.
The little boy was taken before he even got more than block away from his school. No one saw a thing. There was nothing to be heard, no screams, no cry for help... Nothing. These were professionals. The next time anyone saw anything of the little boy was his photograph on the police posters and on the news. But nothing of the boy himself was ever seen again, at least not by those who knew him in this lifetime.
