The List

Marie leaned back in her easy chair, twirling the eraser between her full lips. She knew that once she started writing, it would be a commitment. The last thing she wanted to do was set goals for herself, and fail at every single one. Like everything else in her life, she had to be all in. Ideas flirted with her mind, some making her giggle - some creating a hot anticipation in the pit of her belly. Marie squirmed in her chair. She was conflicted between desire and propriety. On one hand, her fantasies drove her wild and begged to be put into action. On the other hand..

Marie sighed. Taking the pencil eraser out of her mouth and finally putting words on the paper sent a rush of excitement through her fingertips. As the list grew longer, her voracity became unbearable. After all, propriety had never really been one of Marie's strong qualities.
