The 5 Realms
The Tale of Creation
In the Beginning, There was only 1 Realm and 1 God. God was lonely, so he made the angels who were his first creation. The angels became his first children and loved him, and he was happy with them. Eons later, he decided to make some more. This time, a replica of Himself. But a group of angels, led by God’s own favorite Lucifer, were angered by God’s plan. They were afraid that if God goes through with this, they would lose God’s love, and be second best. And so a revolution began. God tried to make allowances, for he loved his first creations and more so, his favorite was involved, but they would not be swayed. Finally and sadly, God decided to banish them from the heavens. By this time he had started making a new realm for his new creations, for he plan to make more. This he called the Realm of Genesis.
The Realm of Genesis was divided into two by a barrier, and were called Exilium and Mystica. Exilium was where God banished his fallen servants. And the latter was where He put his plan into action. Yet He was still not satisfied. His second creation may look like Him, but they were not yet perfect. They were too like the angels for him to be content. So He tried and tried, and after creating multiple variations of his second creation, He finally made the humans, his final masterpiece.
He called the first man Adam, and the first woman Eve. He transformed a portion of Mystica into a garden, and called it the Garden of Eden for them to live in. There he created the first living things to keep them company. Lucifer, who saw how much God loved the humans, was again jealous. He thought he had lost all hope of regaining God’s love, so he planned to make the humans pay. He decided to make it in such a way that the humans would gain disfavor in God’s eyes. He crossed the barrier between the two realms and tempted them to go against God’s wishes.
When God saw this, he was angered and at the same time saddened. He still loved his fallen children, but after this, He knew that most of the fallen ones would never regain their goodness. They were too consumed by hate and jealousy for His other creations to coexist with them. So He permanently split the two divisions of the Realm of Genesis. Genesis was no more. It had become the Realm of Chaos (formerly Exilium) and Realm of Mystic (formerly Mystica).
To punish the fallen ones, he stripped them of their beauty, and gave them a horrendous form. He called them Demons and made Chaos barren and hot. For the humans as a penalty for their disobedience, God made them mortal and gave them a choice, to live in accordance to his will or against it. He created the 4th realm, the Realm of Humanity or as we call it, Earth. It was a replica of the Realm of Mystic, but where there is continuity of all living and non living things in the Mystical Realm, in Earth there was none. God made it a place to test the humans. If they live their mortal life following his commandments and protecting his minor creations, they would be able to enter Heaven and live with him and his other children when they die. If not, they would be sent to the Realm of Chaos, where the fallen ones who hated them would torture and make them suffer.
The creations that God made before He perfected his plan He called Mystics, after their home realm. The Mystics were the Elves, Dwarves, Sprites, Fairies and Giants. Although they were the trials and errors that God made before he produced His masterpiece, they were no less important than the humans, even more so because they have been faithful to Him. He gave them power over the elements, and let them retain their immortality.
A few demons who had a change of heart and did not agree with what Lucifer had done to the humans pleaded to God for forgiveness. God was overjoyed and readily forgave them. He created a huge space between Mystic and Chaos and made it theirs. He gave them the power to shift into their angelic forms minus wings, though they will still retain their demonic form which God slightly modified to something a little less terrifying, as a reminder of their past sins. He gave them a new name. “Dragons,” he called them. This is how the Dragon Realms originated.
