Darkalley Bats
Black bats fluttered around me before a figured appeared. The person was taller than me and seemed to be watching my ever move. He slowly made his way over to me, making me notice how sexy he really was. Our bodies were almost touching when he stopped walking. I leaned into his chest as arms wrapped around me.
“We’ll meet soon, I promised,” he said with an accent. I tilted my head to look into his eyes but found they were hidden behind a curtain of long silky black hair. My hand brushed the hair away to find to stunning purple eyes staring into my sea blue eyes. He leaned forward toward my li-
*Beep, Beep*
“Fucking alarm clock,” I grumbled as my dream was snatched by reality. I lazily opened my eyes and tried to remember why I had set the stupid alarm clock in the first.
“Tyler, honey, you better be up and dressed or we’re going to be late for your school.”
‘That’s why I set the alarm,’ I thought as I picked up my school uniform. Looking at my reflection in my mirror, I noted that no guy in their rightful mind would even look at me as cute.
Hurriedly combing my hair with my fingers, I made my way down our twisting stairs and to my waiting mother.
“Honey, we have to travel by wind since cars would take far too long. “ I silently watched as she created a wind ball that grew rapidly. She gently tapped my shoulder to signal it was ready.
‘To Brendan Academy,’ I thought stepping forward. My body started to vibrate as I was lifted of the ground. My vision blurred as I felt my body jerk. When I could see again, I was standing in a room full of kids my age and anxious parents. Immediately I started looking around the room for one specific person.
“Do you know how long I’ve been looking for you?”
“Sara? I have a question to ask you that I’ve kept to myself all summer,” I said turning around. Sara, the best friend a guy could have, gave me a confused look but nodded.
“Do you think it’s possible to use dreams to communicate? What I mean is: I have this dream about a guy that is always about to kiss me when I wake up.”
“Ty has a boyfriend! Ty has a boyfriend. What does he look like?”
“An athletic body, long black hair, and pale skin describes him best. Did I mention dreamy purple eyes? The only thing he said was ‘we’ll meet soon, I promise’. Do you think that’s true?”
“I don’t know Ty, maybe he- oh, hi Mrs. B,” Sara said looking over my shoulder. I tensed as I slowly turned around to face my mother.
“Nice to see you again Sara, I hope you hade a good summer. Honey, I have to go,” Mom said giving me a kiss on the cheek. I nodded as she disappeared.
Sara dragged me to the Grand Gathering. We went to our usual spot in the corner were nobody could bother us. I looked around to find that nobody was watching us.
“When did the dreams start,” Sara asked once we had sat down. I grabbed a pear and chewed it thoughtfully.
“The day I became of age or in July,” I said with a mouth full of pear. Sara shook her head at me.
“Have you ever thought of eating with your mouth closed? Anyway, it could be because of that,” Sara said tilting her head. I stuck my tongue out at her but nodded in agreement.
“Students please settle down,” a booming voice in the front of the room. I looked up to see the Headmaster standing at the front of the room. “There is a change for this year. Because of recent events, we have to share our school with another. Please welcome the students of Darkalley.”
The double doors next to Sara and me burst open, revealing a bunch of kids and a man with a pointed gouge. I watched the group walk to the front when my eyes landed on a guy that was talking to his friend.
