Crimson Moon
pt 1
I would remember it for as long as I lived. My lover drenched in the red of blood...those demons standing over him. If only I had been faster, If only I hadn't been so concerned about the child. He had locked eyes with me and mouthed 'I love you Taka' before the cruel claws of the yokai had hit home. They pierced his skin and sunk into his chest, ripping out his heart as he fell. Smiling, the demon had just licked the blood off his claw.
They came towards me, ready to finish me off like they had him. Wraping my arms around my stomach protectively, I didn't attempt to fight them off. I could feel their approch, along with the magick that snapped and crackled within myself. the one who had murdured him reached his hand out and grabbed my shoulder. Blue flashes of lightning decended and he screamed. Cracking around me it killed them all. I saw them die and laughed.
"So much for the gentle personality you loved so much Sei." I crawled over to his proned form and laughed bitterly. I had ultimatly destroyed all that he had, I had let him be killed, and let the darkness within myself go. I pulled his corpse next to me and held onto it like it was the most precious thing in this world.
And to me, it was.
