Blackmail about reviews? Why? If the story is really good then it is impossible not to get reviews. You are not the first who done this and I sort of beginning to believe that writers are very insecure.
Chapter 1 was OK, I guess it is the story of Ray's parents. It flows pretty nicely, your control of English really good , other than that is hard to say after reading just 4 paragraths.

from what little there is here it sounds good but I wouldn't really try blackmailing for reviews when all you have to offer is a paragraph.
