- Boy Meets Boy -
The school hallway was packed with returning and new students to Lithgrow High; a small town secondary school. The usual jingle of voices from the students echoed off the aged walls, papered with years of memories from parents and grandparents before. Growing up in Lithgrow meant that there were many elementary schools but only one high school, because by the time you hit it, you were usually moved away.
Paul weaved his way through the students casually as he had done every year before. He was returning for his last and final year at the high school, and couldn't have been happier to be graduating. Paul was not the most popular kid in school, but he had quite a few friends, and was 'cool' with most everyone else.
Slowly Paul worked his way down to the grad wing of the school, waving, smiling and nodding to his fellow class mates. A smile crept across his face when he saw the person he was most excited to see over the entire summer...

Kim Barlow. Popular, attractive, envied, adored... Queen of Lithgrow High since grade nine. Not only was she five foot ten, she had long beautiful glowing hair that waved in all the perfect places. Unlike your stereotypical blond beauty, Kim was a brunette. Having reached puberty much earlier than the rest she had time to develop the perfect body, wanted by most of the high school girls. She was as some would say, "Quite a piece of eye candy."
Following close behind her was her posy of 'second' rate girls that dreamed of taking her place as the queen bee. Kim moved swiftly along the hallway of Lithgrow High, students poured themselves against the walls as she walked by.
"Jess, um... Could you please like, phone Daddy for me and tell him I said I need the 'stang after school. If he could get butler to drop it off it would be great."
Not only was Kim the 'perfect' girl in the school, her dad was also a very important business man for a large American firm that branched into her town. They were extremely wealthy, and well known throughout the town.
"Ha, ya like absolutely Kimmy." Jessica Witworth rummaged through the purse that Kim extended towards her, finally finding her prize she smiled and punched the number on the keypad.
Kim glanced wryly at the other girls response... "Jessica, don't ever call me Kimmy again, or you will be out of this clique so fucking fast you wont know what hit you..."
Flipping her hair over her shoulder Kim made a final glance around the hallway at the other students. Most were whispering under their breaths about her, and her... tendency to tramp around. Turning quickly she walked briskly into her biology class with a grand entrance.

Jake Mirra, the new kid. Jake was about five foot eleven and had beautiful blond hair, and a gorgeous body. He was an easy going friendly guy that had just transferred in from some big city down South. Fitting in, at L.H was always a fairly easy job. The school was mostly divided into cliques, which people didn’t mingle or bother. If you belonged to the Jock crew, you stuck with your jocks and didn’t bother anyone else.
The theater guys and girls usually associated with the band and artsy people, and vice versa. The smokers and the gangsters all chilled at the smoke pit and the stoners hung out in the bushes out back. Jake didn’t really fit into any of these categories. He very well could have fit into the Jock crowd, but he didn’t bother. He was a floater, associating with everyone.
“Hey sexy!” was shouted from a group of girls, gitty with laughter in a circle by their lockers. Jake smiled, already very used to the attention. He was after all, ‘new meat’ to the school.
Jake nodded to his new school mates as he made his way through the hallway, weaving in and out of crowds of excited students, chipper with extravagant stories of their summer vacations. Pushing his blond locks from his face Jake peered down to his timetable to see what class he was supposed to be in.
401, Biology.
Making a final left turn into a less crowded hallway Jake picked up his pace. Not wanting to be late for his first class in his new school. Quickly he looked down to his front pocket as he crammed the timetable into it. With mere feet to the doorway of his classroom Jake collided into another moving body, obviously on the same mission as he was.
A loud clatter of books echoed through the hallway.
“Shit, I’m sorry.” Jake instinctively bent down to gather the spilt books. Grabbing the two closest to him he piled them on top of each other and looked up to meet eyes with the person he collided into. A smiled crept across his slender face.
“Hi, I’m Jake.”
To Be Continued...
A/N: Well I switched up the first chapter a bit and took out the prologue. I'm trying to show you, the readers all of the main characters now, so I can get to the main story line... which my gods is good. I've been brewing this story up for some time now and I'm extremely excited to finally get the story down on paper and out to you. I'm sorry the first chapter is so short but I have been so busy and I'm really trying to make this wonderful. There is nothing worse that a choppy story with poor editing and structure, so bare with me. I have a few days off now so I can really get to work. :D I really think you will enjoy this story, its a great romantic journey, with real life experiences tangled into it, which makes it even better. So please enjoy, review and if you have any questions or comments you can contact me at --> recondited_@hotmail.com. Love ya'll
