Missed Your Lips
Prologue
“What do you think about this one?” I asked, carrying a vampire novel to my companion. “It says it’s about love that spans the centuries.”
He took the book from me, frowning at the candid cover of a very muscular man wearing nothing from the waist up. A single drop of blood was running down his chest. He looked back to me, smiling at me with a raised eyebrow. “Since when do you read this shit?”
I pretended to be shocked by his words. “Since when are you worried about what I read? According to you, reading is an ability that separates us from animals, it’s something we should enjoy every chance we get.” I stole the book back from his large hands, and tucked it in my arm.
The bookstore was packed for this hour of night, but I didn’t mind. I enjoyed mingling with the normal people. I left my companion’s side, turning quickly to make my skirt flutter for his amusement. I maneuvered through the throngs of people gathering in the open area to hear an author speak about his newest creation. Feedback radiated through the speakers as they checked his microphone, sending a hiss of audible pain through the crowd. He wasn’t anyone that I had read before, so I didn’t feel he was very deserving of my attention now. As I passed the magazine racks, a young man whistled. I stopped and looked back to the rack I had just passed. The guy was reading some magazine on the latest forms of transportation. He looked up when he realized I was watching him, and he waved.
“What do you think you are doing?” a male voice hissed as a flash of white-blond hair passed me, grabbing my hand. He pulled me along behind the group of people settling down for the lecture. As we moved further into the store, I realized there were less people in these particular sections. We were among the more obscure sections now, mostly military history, philosophy, and art books. We turned down an empty aisle, and he slung me around, forcing my back against a section about the Vietnam War. I was still clutching my vampire novel as I looked up into steely gray eyes, and smiled.
“You like that kind of attention?” he whispered against my ear. He leaned his body closer to mine, his sheer size still overwhelming me. I only came up to his shoulders, so he was bending over quite far just meet me eye-to-eye. His blond ponytail fell over his shoulder, and he reached out to take my book away. Setting it on a shelf I couldn’t reach, I started to pout, but it quickly turned to surprise as he slid his hands under my thighs. He picked me up, hoisting me to his waist so I could wrap my legs around him. I giggled as he tried to keep up his angry façade, giving me his best “tough guy” look.
“What is my punishment, sir?” I said, giggling through my words.
He grinned at me, and opened his mouth to speak. However I didn’t care what he had to say, and kissed him instead, halting whatever words were about to escape his lips. He grunted at first, but he quickly caught on, and gave in to my advances. His kiss was firm, triggering the memory sensors in my lips. Sensations prickled over my skin, making me squeeze my legs around him, holding him tighter to my body.
I see you even dressed for the occasion, he whispered through our mind link. It was only enabled when our bodies touched. As soon as we were separated, the link disappeared.
I only smiled and kissed him harder. You said you liked my short skirts, I whispered back.
I felt him grabbing at my thong, ripping it away with his strong hands. I hadn’t noticed it at first, but apparently he had already worked to remove the button and zipper of his slacks, pulling himself free from his fabric prison. Letting me slide down against him, he entered me, forcing me back against the shelf again. The shelves were sturdy, solid oak and connected to the floor, however we still managed to shake a few books loose as he pounded upward into me. My body was quivering under his strength, my ass was raw from the wood rubbing my flesh, and my moans kept passing from my lips to his. I could hear him moaning my name in my mind, as we both came hard against the shelf.
Our lips separated as we both struggled for breath, our lungs aching for some much-needed oxygen. He let me down, my legs still shaky from the strain of his lovemaking. He laughed when I grabbed his arm for support. Having problems?
I gave him my evil eye as I smoothed my skirt down, immediately feeling a draft. I looked at my poor panties on the carpeted floor, destroyed and discarded. I let go of his arm to fix the rest of my clothes, and then moved to the end of the section to see if anyone was privy to our actions in the military history section.
Looking around, there was no one in sight. I felt him behind me again, his arm snaking around my waist, pulling back into his body. Someone is here.
I looked up to him, but he wasn’t looking at me. He was scanning the area with his cybernetic eyes, searching for the enemy. Are you sure? I didn’t sense any disturbance.
He nodded, and turned his gaze back to me. Stay here, and stay hidden. Turn off all of you sensors so they can’t track you. I’ll be back shortly.
My body knew instantly the moment he was gone. Cold air gripped my skin as I watched him head back toward the group of people clapping for their speaker. I moved back into the aisle we had just defiled. I’d never look at the Vietnam War the same way again. Looking up, I saw my book on a top shelf, way out of my reach. Investigating the dark aisle, I found a short ladder next to the window. Grabbing it, I climbed just high enough to reach the shelf. Standing on my tiptoes, I fingered the binding of the book, trying to tip it far enough to fall off of the shelf. I felt a presence in the aisle with me, and just assumed my escort had returned from surveying the store. “Blitz, why did you have to put it up so high?” I asked.
Before I could turn in his direction, I felt a pinch in my back, and voltage shot through my nerves. My body froze, making me lose my footing on the ladder. I fell backward and collided with the carpet. Shadows approached me, hovering over my shaking body as they sent another wave of shocks through me. The last thing I saw before my eyes shut down was a man in military uniform, bending over me with dark eyes and a dirty smile.
“Welcome home, Syn…”
