Gift From the East

Finally, my very first fanfiction! I’ve had this idea for quite a while but I’ve never managed to get it down on paper so I’m trying my best! Reviews, flames, suggestions, anything is welcome! Just enjoy it!

Disclaimer: The characters’ names, physical description, and powers do not belong to me: Sogetsu Kazama from Samurai Shodown and Qilué, one of the Seven Sisters in the Forgotten Realms. Their personalities and this story are original.

Note from author: None of this is going to be based on the video game or the forgotten realms series. Please keep in mind that Qilué is pronounced KEE-lay.

Chapter One: Gift from the East

He slouches slightly in his throne, fixing his eyes on the large doors in front of him. His elbows were propped on the arm rests with his hands folded in front of his mouth; his breath was now getting heavy. He knew his kingdom was falling apart and for the first time, he felt helpless, despite the powers he was born with that the other emperors didn’t have. Sogetsu Kazama took over his father’s kingdom at the age of fifteen. While his father was alive, Sogetsu endured the worst treatment that was more horrible than what any servant got. Scars, burns, and hateful words were what his father left him, but never tears. He remembered while his father laid there on his death bed, he was called to his father’s side.

“Son…my only son.” His father gasps out. Sogetsu just stood still, watching his father with his blue eyes. His father slowly lifted his pale, wrinkled hand and placed it heavily on top of Sogetsu’s head. “I know…you must hate me…but what I did to you…was for your own good.” Vicious coughs immediately followed as Sogetsu saw blood on his father’s sleeve and the corner of his mouth. Sogetsu didn’t move to help and continued to stay rooted to his spot.

“But I’m dying now…so there’s nothing…to fear, and…I’m telling you now, that what I…feared most…was you.” This time his father didn’t cough but took deep breaths and continued his explanation. “Our family…at first I thought…it was just a legend as my…father told when I was a boy…but it was true…when I saw you. You…hold power in your blood…from the moment when…you came out of your mother…your blue eyes…your blue hair…it should have been…me…” Sogetsu felt his father’s hand tighten around his hair. The old man laid back and with his last bit of strength, he pulled out a handful of Sogetsu’s blue hair and his hand dropped down by his lifeless body.

Now in Sogetsu’s twenty-seventh year, his kingdom had crumbled under him. A long tread of bad luck was strung through his kingdom in the past 5 years. Blizzards, droughts, and plagues left his land bare and his people abandoned their homes. Only a few of his loyal soldiers and servants stood by him. Sogetsu knew he was a tyrant like his father, but now wasn’t the time for tyranny. Now was the time to consider an alliance. Sogetsu grimaced at the thought of actually considering an ally. The Kazama family were samurai, and Sogetsu considering help brought shame down onto his soul. He knew he was dishonoring his family, but in order to save his kingdom, he had to.

The large doors fling open. Sogetsu stands up, slightly straightening his white robe as his long tied up blue hair sways against his back as he takes a few steps forward. His right hand grips firmly to the sword at his side. Sogetsu was a strong man and rarely showed emotion, his face always firm and hard but somehow remained beautiful. Years of training gave him broad shoulders and a muscular body but also made him skillful with his sword and his reputation was well known through out the other kingdoms.

An overweight man, nearly twice the size of Sogetsu walks into the room. Wobbling side to side, the man is dressed in jewels and elegant royal clothes brightly covered with small diamonds that any movement this man made, something would glitter. The man’s mouth slowly starts to form into a smile, though it seems quite hard to lift up the heavy meat on his face, he somehow manages to complete it.

“Lord Kazama. Thank you for inviting me into your home.” The man nods, Sogetsu indicating it as a bow.

“The honor is mine Lord Katsu.” Sogetsu lowers his head but never keeps his blue eyes off of Katsu.

“It’s been weeks now since I’ve made my offer to you.” Katsu let out a hearty laugh as Sogetsu mutters a curse under his breath. “It really would be a shame if you agreed to ally with any of the other kingdoms, because in no time, I will conquer them all.”

Sogetsu knew that in order to survive, he needed to combine his kingdom with whoever was the most powerful at the moment and unfortunately, it was Katsu. Sogetsu didn’t trust Katsu and knew that if he gave Katsu a chance to control his kingdom, all would be lost. Still, Sogetsu knew he had some power over Katsu because he could sense fear rushing out of Katsu the moment he stepped into the room. Katsu was extremely scared of Sogetsu and he had the right to be. Katsu clears his throat and then snaps his fingers. Two of his servants come walking into the room, holding a large carpet upon their shoulders and gently place it down in front of Katsu’s feet.

“A gift to you Lord Kazama, which I hope will sway your decision. I will be back in two days. Just a friendly warning: there will be dire consequences if you don’t agree to my offer.” Katsu let out another laugh as he walks out, his servants following close behind. As Katsu’s laugh dies through out the hall, Kazama curses out loud. One of the soldiers rushes in, hearing his lord.

“Lord Kazama, is something the matter?” The soldier looks at him with wide eyes of concern. Sogetsu sighs and waves his hand.

“Nothing Izu. Leave me alone for now.”

Izu nods and leaves the room. On his way out, he quietly closes the doors. As they click shut, Sogetsu walks around to the other side of the carpet. He thought about slashing it to tiny pieces, but it didn’t seem like an heirloom or something precious Katsu wouldn’t be able to part with. It actually looked out of place for someone like Katsu to own. Lifting his right foot up and placing it on the carpet, he gives it a small shove and watches the carpet roll out. A body suddenly slumps out of the carpet, lying face down and dressed in all white from head to toe. Sogetsu quickly draws his sword and prepares to strike. The arms from the body slowly move as the hands press onto the carpet, lifting up its upper torso. Its head lifts up just as slow, a veil covering its face and Sogetsu was now held in his place by silver eyes which were the only features exposed. He could make out the color of the skin that was around the eyes which seem like a deep blue. Lowering his sword in front of the face, the sharp tip slowly slides underneath the veil. With a sharp flick of his wrist, the veil was pulled off.

In front of Sogetsu was the most beautiful and enchanted creature he had ever seen. Her eyes were now the color of lavender, matching her deep blue skin. She quickly dropped her eyes to the floor and lowers her head slightly. Once again with his sword, he slides the tip under the white cloth covering her head. Slowly this time, he slides the cloth back. A wave of long white hair falls forward across her shoulders. Sogetsu’s face remains emotionless as he notices the pointed ears protruding through her white hair and moves the tip of his sword quickly to her neck.

“What are you?” he growled out softly. Sogetsu noticed that she was breathing quite fast, the sword at her neck obviously making this effect but she was also smart enough to keep her hands on the carpet. Lifting her head up, her lavender eyes were now looking at him.

“I am a present from Katsu to you, Lord Kazama.” Her voice was light and soft. A small smirk appears on Sogetsu’s face as he hears her address Katsu informally and him formally. She already knew who her new master was. Sogetsu remembered hearing the soldiers once talk about exotic, inhuman sex slaves that came from Katsu’s kingdom when he was a boy. Lowering his sword from her neck and putting it back into its sheath, Sogetsu made no offer to help her up and it seems like she didn’t expect it from him.

“Katsu wouldn’t offer something like you to me. He appreciates beauty when he sees it.” Sogetsu crouches down to meet her at eye level, his elbows on his thighs with his hands in front of him. “So tell me, how do you plan to kill me within the next two days?” The creature lowers her gaze back to the floor again. “Katsu instructed me to use a knife he received as a gift from a kingdom in the north. Then Katsu would ally with the west to overthrow the north while assuming your kingdom.”

Sogetsu’s face became dark, almost cruel. He reaches down into the creature’s white robe. At first a terrified expression came across her face but then realized what he was doing. She could feel the warmth of his hand against her chest, then the cool, flat, hard knife she had hid slowly slide up against her chest. Sogetsu pulled the knife out from her robe and studied it. The mark made in the knife was indeed the crest of the north kingdom.

“That son of a snake…” muttered Sogetsu as he puts the knife into his own robe. “Get up.” He ordered her and watches her slowly stand. The white silk robe she wore flowed down her slender and voluptuous body. It hugged her body tightly, showing every visible curve to Sogetsu’s eyes. She didn’t have a petite figure like any of the servant women and was at least three inches shorter than him. As he studied her, he noticed her looking at him as well. Her eyes first trailed from his hand on his sword, then up along his bare arm and to his broad shoulder. His white robe was slightly open to reveal his muscular chest and stomach. She seemed mesmerized for a few seconds and then looked up at him, her cheeks suddenly turning a bright red as she looked away. Sogetsu smirked, thinking that she would be easy to control since she seemed attracted to him.

“What’s to happen to you if you fail to kill me?” Sogetsu now wanted to know if Katsu was going to keep sending assassins or whether if he would finally be a man and take things into his own hand.

“Katsu said I would be killed no matter what happens. You would possibly kill me in my attempt to assassinate you or Katsu would kill me if he found out I failed.” She spoke more quietly now, Sogetsu hearing a small hint of fear in her voice. He smirked again, liking the thought of her scared of him.

“I’ll let you live, but only if you tell me what else Katsu plans.” He crossed his arms in front of his chest as he watches her eyes suddenly light up.

“I…I might have something better to offer you, my lord.” A puzzled look comes across Sogetsu’s face. Unfolding his arms, he walks slowly towards her and she immediately drops her eyes down to the floor again. Grunting slowly, Sogetsu began to find her humbleness irritating. He gently touches the bottom of her chin with his fingertips and lifts her head up slowly.

“And what do you have to offer me, little creature?”

“I can help you destroy Katsu and his kingdom.” Her lavender eyes were now a pale blue as she looked in his eyes. Her response would have made him laugh if her expression wasn’t sincere. “Katsu held me prisoner for many years. I wish to make him pay for what he’s done to me.”

“Why should I trust you?” Sogetsu removes his hand from her chin.

“You need to trust someone, and who better then one who shares the same hate towards Katsu.” He seized her by the throat, her body tightened up and her hands automatically clenching to his wrist, trying to get him to loosen his grip on her. He hated it when people offered their help to him, especially from a slave who wasn’t even his equal.

“You are a slave.” He growled at her. “You speak much too forward to me but if you’re so eager to die, I’ll send you to face Katsu when he comes back in two days.” Squeezing her neck and hearing a small whimper, he finally releases her. She slightly stumbles back, her hands around her neck as she hangs her head low, a look of shame crosses her face.

“My Lord, I apologize. Please forgive me.” He reaches out to her, seeing her slightly flinch, and pulls the white hood back over her head. Finding the veil on the floor, he reaches down and picks it up, putting it back on the lower portion of her face.

“You will follow me and not say a word or look at my soldiers. You will remain covered at all times unless I remove anything you wear. You will address me as Lord or Lord Kazama. I will not hesitate to kill you if you attempt to threaten my life or disobey me.” His voice was hard and cold. She slightly trembled and continued to look down.

“Yes, my Lord.” She softly spoke.

“Do you have a name?”

“Qilué. My name is Qilué.” She heard him scoff.

“From now on, I will address you as Q.”

“Yes my Lord.”

What’s going to happen to Qilué? Will she be a sex slave for Sogetsu? Qilué’s true nature is revealed in the next chapter! Thanks for reading! Chapter two should be up shortly and look forward to sexual tension and rated-R chapters in the future as the story unfolds for our two characters!
