Good start so far. The story seems interesting and you didn't give us so much information that we feel overloaded. I would watch your tenses though. You seem to switch back and forth at times, but that's really the only suggestion I have for you. The story seems well thought out so far.

Very good first chapter. I like your characters and I'm interested to see what is going on with them. Suggestions: I wouldn't make the wolf to gentle considering how rough and wild he is. It's good that he would be a little softer towards the snow leopard than towards others, but he would probably still remain a little gruff because that's just his personality. Also, you rarely do this, but be careful not to overexplain. When describing how the deer had a long tail and sharp hoofs you mentioned that evolution has caused them to be that way. I don't think evolution needs to be mentioned here since you explained that in your prologue and because the evolution happened years ago this is how deer have always appeared to the characters. Other than that though you seemed to do a really good job. You have a good writing style and it's not solely dialogue, but it's not solely thoughts either. A good balance between the two is good to have and you had quite a bit happen. I'm interested to see what happens next! Good job!

Fabulous start. I can't wait for more. I love your world it unique and vibrant. Your character are deep and complicate giving them a sense of "real". I'm looking forward to more. Thank you for sharing.

A very interesting story!
I like the whole setting, meaning the evolved animals that can turn humanlike and the way these beings live and work.
Your two characters are interesting.

I hope there are more adventures for those two, I'm really looking forward to it.
