Wow, Riley's dad sure is great! He didn't even bat an eye when Riley explained who James was. Although he can't just up and permanently move there; he's going to need change of address forms, let the school know where he is. His mother, in all her drunken stupor, will have to agree, otherwise it could be considered kidnapping, right?

Anyway....good chapter! Looking forward to the next one! :)

I just found your story and I'm loving it. James mother is a real b*tch and I hope she goes to jail for it. I'm glad that Riley is taking him away from her. I was glad that Riley was giving him food but getting him somewhere safe is even better. I can't wait to read how James' mother will react to James moving out. I think James' father will be glad for it once he finds out what's been going on. Riley seems like the protective and caring type and I am sure he will be good for James.

Please update soon!!

My friend just told me to read this (she's my source for all things yaoi/slash) and Im happy to inform you that I honestly like it. Usually I don't like stories involving parental abuse because I had unknowingly watched my best friend suffer through it but I like this. I like how James is getting away with Riley and how Riley has been concerned about James from the moment he laid eyes on him. I think they will be good together. I also like how Riley was both concerned and murderous when he saw James wounds. I imagined him stopping in his tracks, gaping, and the clenching his fists at the site. I await an update.

Sweet chapter! I wonder if James' mom is even going to notice he's not there. Too bad you can't set her up w/Riley's dad; maybe he can straighten her out and they can all live happily ever after. hahah, J/K.

But James will have to deal with his mother; he can't just move out and not tell her. Plus the school needs to know his new address and Riley has to ok it w/his dad. Too much red tape...

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Oh man, poor James. He was very brave in telling Riley what his "mother" was doing to him. I probably said this in previous chapters, but I use the term "mother" very loosely. Being a mother myself, I cannot imagine doing to my kids what this witch has done to her son. Taking out all your anger, frustrations, disappointments on your child is unforgivable. She really need someone to talk to; she needs therapy and drugs. Lots of drugs; a few happy pills here and there, lol. But seriously, she needs help; she needs to stop abusing her child before child services finds out somehow and takes James away from her. Which, would be good for James actually. But he loves her too much to tell on her. He could easily tell his guidance counselor, or the school therapist. She'll never change w/o help.

Anyway, I hated this chapter, could you tell? lol, j/k; it was great! I'm glad Riley knows what's going on with James and now he can help him. James needs someone to talk to and Riley is just so sweet and loving.

Great chapter; can't wait for more! :)

I've never read a story like this before. It is really unique. Your writing is easy to understand too. Great Job! I'm looking forward to more.

Awww, how cute is Riley? lol

Poor James; he's gotta do something about his mother (and I use that word "mother" loosely). Ok, he loves her, but come on, she beats him up every day??? Whenever she's home? So what if he defends himself? Child services should come in there and take him away from all that abuse.

Anyway, I think Riley's adorable and I can't wait until the next chapter! :)

Good story so far; the chapters are pretty short tho! :(

I feel so bad for James. Why is it always the alchoholic parent who beats up the kid? And Jesus; it's his MOTHER; isn't he stronger than she is? Can't he stop her for goodness sakes? He should tell his father; maybe he can live with him...

I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Happy New Year's! :)
