This is one of my all time favorite stories, thank you for sharing it with us. If "Edie" became a book I would be all over buying it. Thank you again.

OMG! I love this story & I cried like a baby when Cain dead and all the way to the end when Edie went to visit his grave. I kinda shocked myself because at first I hated Cain so much & I even thought he had a twisted ass sense of purpose when he started talking about all Edie had accomplished was because he raped her back in the day - then I realized that it was the truth. I completely fell in love with him when he really started to change, I hate that he had to die & I hate that somebody didn't run a damn sword through & through Lavan until he looked like a damn colander - sorry, I really do hate his character... Even after Cain could have killed the bastard & he didn't, the scum still killed him. I still hate Tonisha's guts, I always had for butting into Edie's business & thinking she knew what was best for her.

Anyhow, it was an awesome story & thank you for putting it out there.

wow - I lost touch with Edie as life got hectic, but it picked up and pulled me back in! I remember all those reviewer saying "NO - not CAIN!" - I bet they're eating their words now - AMAZING turn around! My throat is still constricted as I try not to cry - well, as I type through tears anyway - I really wanted a CAIN ghost to appear for a final scene - anything to bring back that true love. Hats off to you for a fantastic plot - I look forward to future reads.

Brilliant bittersweet ending. However, I still can't say I like the main pairing, or the Cain character in general. Also, I'd have liked to have seen Mark and Aleah get together, Edie be happy (preferably with Lavan), and if Edie really didn't want Lavan, then Lavan/Tonisha.

Still, I love that you got Lavan back to the good side and that Edie sort of forgave him.

I really look forward to your next fic, will it bean Edie sequel?

This was a truly wonderful story and what a bittersweet ending. I love that Edie still kept a part of Cain with her in the form of her daughter. She truly came full circle in forgiving Cain and realizing that she loved him. I can't wait to see what you're other stories will be about.

Brilliant story, and I'm really sad to see its almost over. But to be honest, I'm astonished by Edie's less than stellar memory. Forgiving the rape, maybe. But what about the countless many Cain murdered, including her own parents. Lavan made a HUGE mistake in killing him, but for her to act so self righteous and cold when Cain, frankly, had it coming, is beyond me.

Not to mention the fact she did literally use Lavan as a source of comfort. She's no angel herself, since she did let him think he had a chance with her and let him fall in love with her. Still, she is a good person who is in an awful amount pain. I hope all the surviving characters get a happy ending.

Also: thanks for making Lavan come back to the "light side", albeit after killing Cain. I just think that the whole Edie/Cain pairing should never have happened (if someone killed my parents out of pure evil, I would kill them.)

Great story, just hate the main pairing.

Why did you kill off Cain? I was kinda hoping it would be a dream or something. :(

Aww why did you kill off Cain? I thought they were pretty cute together. One part about the kill scene I am confused about though, what happened between Cain deciding not to kill Lavan and then Cain ending up dead? Great writing though, I actually started to cry a little bit lol.
