Jesus Christ, Jesse's brother really fucked up his mind. The poor guy can't even acknowledge his feelings. Why did Gabe have to "test" him like that? Couldn't he just come out and say how HE, Gabe felt? Maybe that would help Jesse be more forthcoming with his feelings. I don't know how old these guys are, but Jesse had to live his whole life thinking his feelings were wrong and bad. It was unfair of Gabe to do that to Jesse, to throw it in his face, seeing some other guy w/him. That's horrible. Gabe should have told Jesse how he felt back in the summer during their trip.
This is a really good story. I hope you continue with it. I'd like to see Gabe help Jesse open up about his feelings. What Jesse was feeling when they were sitting together by the lake, when he thought all those wonderful things about Gabe. They were beautiful feelings, that's what he should be telling Gabe, exactly how he feels. But he just needs some help, some encouragement.
