Have I told you that I love this story? I find it enormously enjoyable! It's so full of secrets and I'm determined to find them all out. He he.
I've decided to like the brat, erhm kid, child. He has my permission to live ;P I really like Angel. He is so mysterious. I hope they figure out what he eats soon. Laugh. And Daimen, veeeeery interesting character. I don't know where I have him just yet. I do, however, know that I want him to get some firs encounter with the fishy side of life. He he he he...
I also liked the way you've handled John's character. At first I thought a lot of the story would be about him, but now he is as much as a mystery to me like all the others. I don't even know if he's a good or a bad person now. He do keep our lovely merman in a glass-cage, so he gets minus points for that. ^^ The poor guy ^-^

Does my eyes deceive me? A new chapter! Probably not since I've just read it ^^
Ohhh, so that's what they eat. I should have known. Will she get eaten and if so, how will Angel get out of the tank? And if he does get out, he would be pretty stupid to get back inside again. Well, maybe if he couldn't get out of the room and he desperately needed water. This do present a problem for Daimen, he might get eaten instead of being loved. If that is the case, we will just have to toss the kid to the water creatures instead. Daimen must liiive. *Cough* (Okay, so I'm a bit fixated on Daimen, but I can be that. He's too cool not to be.)
The scientist make me laugh. Of course it can't be Angel who eats the cowardly natives. If it was him, no way would he go back inside the tank again. Though, of course, he might do that if he has an evil plan to fake innocence and eat them all. And they call him Angel. Bwa ha ha.
I feel so spoiled. Three chapters at once. =^-^= It has been a good day. :D

A great chapter :D It was very dark. You managed to fully capture the mood in my opinion :3
My first thought was, I hope that's not Daimen... Do I have a one track mind? I didn't think you would throw in a creature like that. It makes perfect sense now, his wounds and all. And here I had evil thoughts about Angel. Shame on me.
So Angel broke the glass. I hope that drew some attention. It would be sad if the main character get's eaten halfway into the story. Yes, I can see it all now. Daimen is up reading, gets a mental jolt and runs of to the rescue. They have chicken barbecue, organises a more thorough background check-up for scientists wannabes and end everything with a watery journey towards the sunset.
