So I really like this story a lot. And I can't wait for more Scott and Roden! I hope you update more frequently. BUT. The only problem I have with your story is the stuttering in Basil's speech. I'd really reccomend that you ease up on it. It kinda ruins the flow of the dialogue and makes it painful to read. I hope you don't take offense, and that you keep writing what you're writing!

No problem Missa! I love this story, so I always look forward to proofing it! lol
It seems like Basil learned his people phobia/anxiety, whatever you want to call it, from his dad. I see how overprotective his dad is, but come on! The kid should be socializing w/others! He should be spending time w/other kids and hanging out. It's like Basil's been living in a bubble his whole life. Scott's the one who gets to hang w/his friends, and be the sports star and whatnot, and no one pays attention to Basil. The only way Basil's gonna get over his fear of being with others, is to put himself out there and little by little, spend time with other people.
Anyway, great chapter, as usual! I'm glad Scott apologized to Basil; Basil is so insecure as it is, he subconsciously needs Scott's approval for everything. Basil needs to learn how to navigate the world himself.
Looking forward to reading how Roden and Basil spend their time. hehe :)

I understand your pain when you talk about college and working for rent, so I don't blame you for updating erratically. In fact, you're one of the few authors I read who IS updating, I'll admit infrequently, so I don't mind if it takes a bit for the next chapter to get out. :)
I like how it seems that Basil is becoming fond of Roden and almost as if he's starting to like the other boy similar to Scott. It adds a juicy bit of mundane drama to a story full of unorthodox drama. I can't wait to see what kind of situations you put your characters through!
Also, I like how you handled a situation like rape in this piece. Most people would use it simply to automatically have the brothers together. But you've drawn it out beautifully, taking everything slow, such as in real life. For that, I thank and applaud you. ^^

I completely agree with Roden! What an ass! How dare Scott say something like that to his dear brother! Basil needs to open his eyes, and Roden needs to help him. Yes, I am very defensive towards poor Roden, but who wouldn't be? Oh yeah, his mom. Need I say anymore about her? Or that she should die in a very painful accident? ;)
Anyways, I hope Scott's getting a lot of inner turmoil for saying such blasphemy like that to poor Roden! Yes, give him nightmares and horrible dreams that won't go away until he apologizes to Roden by snuggling up with him to sleep! :D
