I was listening to a song that reminded of Claudius and Sex, when they were going through a rough patch...its called Ex-Factor by Lauryn Hill on The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_pUTH6l_Fw -I heard this and thought of Skell and Sex. When I read them I find they both have problems dealing with feelings. That they are so graby because they don't really know how to feel. So the lines like "I wish I could be strong like you" (Also it says that then "It doesn't matter." We all do that in fear of being rejected). To me is them saying I wish I could feel safe enough with my own feelings to know what they are. That they cling to there loved ones as "You make me feel inside." There are also other lines I like. I am sorry I went on a rant and don't really know if you will feel the same way.
It just seems in this book. Sex and Claudius are having problems. I don't think it is Claudius either. Sex Is like a bone fire they are large with feeling but can died easily. While Claudius is a camp fire. They are warm and long going. Even when they are dead the coals are still burning. So I think that Sex fears his own feels will burn a different way. He is quick to angry and jealously why wouldn't he be like that to anything else. Sex knows he clings. So wouldn't you fear that was all he was doing? Claudius is a stone while Sex changes every time he comes out. He even seems to see himself more as a face and well sex machine...
Just a thought. Maybe Sex hasn't grown up yet that is why he kept Sex like a old safe blanket. Maybe he needs to find out who he really is and give himself a real name. Not just be a image. A little like Skell.

*Ok I wrote all that listening to that song. Sorry that I ranted and most likely made no sense.

Fork and Knife by Brand New is one of my favorite songs right now. You Have Killed Me by Morrissey is good too. Megan by the Smoking Popes is one of my all-time favorites. I'll stop while I'm ahead because I can talk music for days. :)

What's the news on CAKE? Has an editor gotten back to you yet? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

Actually, I was thinking about this, but Constantine doesn't look like the type to die. I guess it's just all of the emphasis that Brant puts on him- he seems very infallible to me.

And for Candy- are we going to see the family anytime soon? how are Lois and Lane (I always think about Superman whenver I read this.. lol, did you do this on purpose purhaps?) and their new step-father (haha, he looks like he's a lot of fun to mess around with :P)?

aww, nuts, I really like Walt and the tentacles story too. Anyway, seeing Constantine dead would do a world of good to everyone, but I can only see that as some kind of ending. If you kill him off in the middle of the story, then who are we going to hate? lol. Anyway, good luck with Cake!
