Why does Yancy claim that he doesn't like causing pain (in chapter 6) when he punishes and brings pain to Morgan every chance he gets? Any little show of rebellion or disobedience from her and she ends up in severe pain or with broken bones. If pain is "a last resort measure" for him, then why does he use it as the first and only resort when dealing with Morgan? Was this an accident on your part or are you intentionaly making the character a hypocrit (Because in the very next chapter he threatens to break her hand)?

That was a great, very well written story. I wish you would finish it.

The exploration of Morgan\'s schizophenic personalities is fascinating, her split personas so disfunctional yet sharing control of the body. Then Yancy - first of all I really like the way that being a vampire \"type\" has been treated as relatively low key, not using the fact to define and explain every thought and action, and I adore the love/hate, ubercontrolled/out of control dynamic, the fact that he too is almost bipolar, but is less capable of mental harmony. Wonder if you can have Reversed Stockholm Syndrome - poor Yancy. Of course Sarge is a masterful device, the \"control group\" person - poster child for mental normal in this reality, against whom the others can be measured. All in all a real pressure cooker of plot and character development. I\'ve probably got it all wrong and you meant something else entirely, what the hell, I\'m really looking forward to the next chapters.
