New Perspectives
Prologue: From the Private Journal of Adrestia
Welcome to my secluded and hidden island of Fieresus. Yes, mine, I do really own an entire island. I apparently inherited it and all that comes with it. There are provisions, I can't sell it and the discipline facility is to remain active; and while I can make some changes, I cannot shut it down. Needless to say, I was not just taken by surprise but a tiny bit discomfited. Only someone named after a Goddess of equilibrium, balance, just retribution, and revolt could have something like this happen to them. Then again, the opportunity to leave the world a slightly better place in my own way is far too good a temptation to resist.
The facility under the prior owner had been nothing more than a sanctified humiliation pit for revenge against those whose only crimes are being, ignorant, prejudiced, cruel, irresponsible, and uncaring. Perhaps the facility started out with noble intentions but lost its way. No matter, I've decided to slightly change its direction with the aims of rehabilitation and second chances as the ultimate goal. Discipline is of course still going to play a huge part in retraining and preparing the 'clients' for that ultimate goal. Just like the military uses Bootcamp to break and rebuild a person in the preparation for being part of a team. The re-direction will not, of course, affect the business end, in fact, it seems to have increased demand and growth. Apparently, there are always people willing to pay for the services of this facility. I will have to send all current clients an update in terms of service of course. It is possible we might lose some clients due to the change in terms, but there are things that are very distasteful, even to me. In the end, even those who want revenge aren't always spiteful or mean-spirited. Those that are, are still of service in this case, and perhaps may yet change their perspectives.
My first list of the new batch of 'clients' to be adjusted just arrived. Time for me to assess the list and begin the process. Looks like the first on the list is Grayson Farbridge. The dossier about him is rather colorful. Hmm, This one will take some time and care. I suppose I shall have to stop here and read the information thoroughly if I am to put together his packaged experience. When I have more time, I shall have to come back to my journal.
