Wondering where her daughter was , Dora called out for her. "Kristina, where did you go?"
"Here I am!" Dora turned to see Kristina running toward her.
"Your dad's comming to pick us up. We're going out to eat." They went inside and dressed while they waited for Jessie .
Kristina looked sadly at her empty room and sighed. Her mother had gotten a raise and decided to move closer to her job. Kristina was upset at first, but her parents had convinced her that it was for the best. She could still see her friends, just not as often. "Kristina, its time to go."
"I'm gonna miss it here."
Dora looked at her daughter and smiled. " I know, hon, but think of the adventures you'll have at the new house. The new friends you'll make. "
"I guess you're right. Well goodbye house. Hope you'll give someone else good memories."
" So which room do you want?"
Kristina frowned as she thought of which room she wanted. "Hmm. I think ...this one." She pointed to the room on the left. They began unpacking and putting the things where they belonged. Meanwhile Kristina explored the house. It was just the right size for them. It had three rooms , two on one side of the house, and one on the other side, plus the add on next to the kitchen. As she went to the add on she felt cool air. For some reason ,she just didn't like it.
Jerking awake ,Kristina glanced around sleepily. Something woke her up ,but she didn't know what it was. She layed back down and went to sleep. An hour later she woke up . This time she manage to see some movement in the corner of her room. Squinting to get a better look, Kristina couldn't make out what she saw, but she thought a shadow. She blinked and it was gone. To sleepy to realize what she was seeing, Kristina fell back asleep.
The next day Dora made breakfast and called Kristina. After calling her a few times ,she came out of her room rubbing her eyes. Kristina sat down and nibbled on her breakfast.
"Honey, did you stay up last night?"
Kristina shook her head and yawned. "No. Something kept waking me ."
Dora frowned . She knew her daughter could sometimes be a handfull. Kristina tended to like to annoy people, it wasn't to be mean or troublesome, that's just the way she was.
Kristina turned the facet on to wash her hands when the lights flicketered and went out. She stood still when suddenly she felt her hair being pulled. Kristina yelled and ran out of the restroom. She told her parents, but they thought that she had imagined it.
By now Kristina was sure that she was seeing and hearing things. She couldn't stand the house anymore. At night she would hear things and a few times she had the feeling of being watched. She would tell her parents ,but they said that since the house was old ,she was bound to hear things. Her father said it was the house settling, that she usd nothing to worry about. So Kristina tried to ignore it.
Opening her eyes ,Kristina looked around as she tried to see what had woken her up. It was too dark to see anything ,but she felt that she wasn't alone. It was a not a good feeling. She glanced at the door, which was closed . No wonder it was so dark. Kristina pulled her blanket over her head. She was sure someone or something was in her room , she could feel her bed sink . Then Kristina felt the air get cold. She shook as she stayed under her blanket. If she looked ,Kristina knew she would see what was in her room. Kristina squeezed her eyes shut and prayed for whatever was in her room to go away. Whispering could be heard as Kristina shook with fear. Suddenly her bed jerked. Pulling the blanket off , she ran to her parents room.
The next day Dora and Jessie sat Kristina down to talk to her. They told her that she needed to stop watching scary movies ,that it was the reason she saw and heard things. Kristina insisted that the things she saw were real and not her imagination.
Kristina looked into the room, but didnt see anything. Try as she might she couldn't see anything ,but she felt something looking back at her. She closed the door to the add on and turned to walk to the refrigerator. Suddenly she was startled by the sound of the door opening. She looked over her shoulder and her eyes went wide . The door she had closed was open. Kristina swallowed as she turned around. A shadow stood in the doorway.
Dora and Jessie both looked at their daughter as she ate. After all the fuss she raised ,Kristina seemed fine now. It was a nightmare during the nighttime. They could hear her walking around somtimes she left the television on . What really bothered them most was hearing their daughter talk to herself. Dora caught her several times. Ir was just eerie. Dora would ask who Kristina was talking to and she would smile and say no one.
Kristina layed on her bed as Jill talked through her."So is it today that we get to play?"
"If you want."
Dora had her back turned as she cooked. Kristina read her book as she ate her chips. She reached for her juice and took a drink . She looked at her mother. She had been acting strange since yesterday. Tilting her head to the side Kristina noticed her mothers stiff posture. She got up and walked close to Dora. Kristina glanced at her and saw the blank expression.
"Mom, are you okay?"
Dora looked at her daughter, a grin on her face, and eyes with no emotion in them.
"I'm fine honey. Why do you ask?"
Frighten by the expression on her mothers face, Kristina ran . The last words she heard being." What's wrong? "
Kristina listened to the priest as he told her what to expect from her mother. She had ran into the nieghbor, who luckily belived her when she told her what happen. The nieghbor had a son who knew how to exercise the ghost from Kristinas mother. Everthing was going to be alright.
I hope this didn't suck to much. Sorry if it did.
Chris , this is for you. No you didn't stay possessed by the ghost. xx
