The leaf

A/N: Originally posted at 4:30am for enjoyment. I am NOT an expert writer nor do I want to be. This was posted on a whim as something cute, this actually was only written cause I saw a leaf falling in the side of the road as I drove to school. So please remember to rate and review, as the winter nights come I'll need lots of rosty toasty flames to keep warm :D

The leaf

As dawns first light touched my soft shell I reached for it, opening wide as the world watched my youth with awe and wonder at the glory of me.    

With the sun high I grew strong and healthy, they began to take for granted that which I gave.

At seeing their need I gave all I could never asking anything in return.   

As the sun passed I changed in color, fading with the setting sun.

Again they stopped to watch, not to shed a tear for my passing but to watch in awe as I set their world ablaze with majesty only I commanded.  

As I fell to be trampled beneath the feet of the youth, it is with joy I passed to see next years growth.
